what do real life npc's do in their spare time? I have a theory. They are just inanimate until I trigger them then they start moving just to make my life harder. e.g. when I wanna drive somewhere they all pop out of nowhere and I get there 2 times slower.

That's why it's funny.
This comic kind of disappoints me, though. It's good, but for me none of it has been as funny as the very first bit with Steve and the warrior. I feel like it opens with its best material and never really gets back to that level afterwards.

If you don't think the bit where Flay pops off insecurely only to be invited to a party as a VIP and blows it off out of pride ain't the tightest shit then get the fuck out my face.

Because the first strip makes it look like the comic will be fantasy parody starring a lich, but then it becomes sitcom with fantasy monsters who are basically humans except when they are not. It's a different kind of parody.
