the only way to get better is to play. start with normal draft and in between ques look at the different champs and their abilities and start asking yourself which ones look fun to you. if you really want to get gud find ONE champion and ONE ROLL and play play play. people are going to flame you at first so just mute them if they start spam pinging you or saying something mean. if they say a no no word like nigger/retard/faggot/etc you can report them and they will get banned because rito has an automated ban system that detects words deemed 'problematic.'
again i can't stress this enough find a champion/roll you really enjoy playing and ONLY PLAY THAT CHAMP/ROLL. you will improve so much faster than people that play everything because you will have a much better grasp around all of your power spikes/breakpoints/etc and know your win conditions and how to play around your teammates champions effectively.
one last thing is once you feel comfortable enough play ranked. don't be one of those faggots that only ques normals and plays like 10 ranked games a season unless you are content being a scrub. you're probably going to get placed in bronze/iron and that's OK. just play play play and don't flame your teammates and ask yourself when you win/lose "what did i do wrong/what could i have done different/etc."
other small pointers:
-use op.gg/champion.gg for builds (these sites aren't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than building random stuff because you have no clue what you're doing)
-find small streamers that onetrick the champion you play and watch them and think about why they are building certain items in certain matchups, how they play from behind/ahead/ and how they win games.
