I got to Elite Smash with Mega Man and Bowser, two characters I almost never play, meanwhile I can't get my main, Ganondorf, into Elite. Being in elite doesn't mean shit when you can just gimmick your way to victory with characters you don't even know how to play.

Because Smash has retarded jump and dash mechanics. If you try to dash and block, you'll get fucked because you have to dash a certain distance before being able to do anything. This faggot pissed me off last night. His forward smash is as big as a FUCKING platform on battlefield AND it can hit characters hanging from the ledge.
Because projectiles in Ultimate are too good. They're too easy to throw out, they all cause good damage and knockback, and many of them have set knockback making them always lead into combos. Young Link can literally throw out an arrow every second.
I know fags ate gonna tell me to "git gud", but that's not the point. It's not at all fun to fight against, you basically need to use another projectile character to make it "fair", and honestly it's not even fun for me to play as them when characters I used to enjoy are reduced to this shit.

Everything is extremely punishable, his mix-up game is piss because he's half a character, his nair is the most overhyped shit in the universe he can't stop you from comboing him. A good Ridley will just wait around trying to get you to commit, then wrestle control. He can't throw out random moves because the endlag is Sm4sh-tier levels of dog shit.

If somebody is spamming a projectile, figure out when they're throwing it out, their timing and distance from you, and then shield it when that happens. Example is Simon, he'll usually throw holy water at midrange (also cross), and you don't want to get hit by that because he can F-Smash. So, you approach above him, or run up and shield, and then you follow up with a combo starter or something at close range. This is hard with shit connections like every player in Smash Bros online has, but that doesn't stop you from not unga-bungaing with the same approaches and knowing that projectile users will f. Smash players are honest to god retards.
