Limbo of the Lost

>overrated, not bad but not nearly as good as people make it out to be
>fanbase relatively young/ the young fans think it makes them cool for liking it
maybe smash.

>comparing smash to something that's actually tolerable

In a way, Xenoblade Chronicles

>tfw no game or movie can ever be as hype as TTGL

Wonderful 101 for sure, Metal Gear Rising second

you're not wrong. Hard to think of something that does fit under these conditions though.

The actually TTGL game, bro. It's sto TTGL it drills through your hard drive and bricks your PC.

nothing in videogames has given me these feels

good, I don't think I can handle that again

Unironically spore. You use helix dna to go from a plankton to a galaxy conquerer

>game with a great start, that gets worse as you go
>also has one of the most hype, over the top finales completely unmatched in the medium
There really isnt anything like it. When a vidya gets shit it usually stays that way. I cant recall a single vidya that recovers in the very end in the way TTGL does.

What makes it good is that it keeps raising the stakes and making more momentum towards the end. Most animes just build it up and BOOM instead of keeping the audience edging until we can't take it anymore. Also the reoccuring themes get deeper and more meaningful as the show goes on. That final "Who the hell do you think we are" really hits hard because its been said so many times throughout the show with building momentum.

Which one? The one with with the young, wide-eyed idealist boy with a super sword, or the cringe one where the best girl gets cucked? Or X?
