Nothing and nothing.
It's a certified no games machine with zero interesting releases atm.
waiting for one on ebay to pop up
needs to come with the grey joycons, oddysey and a pro controller
holy shit it didn't even take a single minute for someone SEETHING
Still on o tooath with Frazier in the background. Will be going to the pool with the family soon. Can’t wait for jig to arrive so I can hack this fucking thing and fill it with games I’ll never play
Ok
Been enjoying Sonic Mania, which some nice anons recommended in the last thread.
Is this worth it at this point and if I already have World?
I'm getting pic related next week.
I only use my switch for youtube now
I picked up Sonic Mania the other day and I've been working my way through it. Lotta fun.
Going to work through Starlink afterwards.
i've owned one for a year or two now. even bought the one in your pic related with mario odyssey bundled. played that for a bit and it was alright but couldn't really hold my attention for all that long. friend of mine freaked out about smash ultimate coming out and bought me a 100 dollar eshop card to download the game and the entire dlc pass thing or whatever. did that and played until i unlocked captain falcon, played some online matches and then never touched it again.
looked around and couldn't really see anything else worth purchasing that i couldn't already play on my pc. decided to buy a little jig and hack it soon to at least TRY some of the other games that don't look worth purchasing. most fun i'll probably have is just hacking it, and then i'll probably never touch it again after that unless the emulators are actually decent, in which case i'll use it to play fucking old games i actually like going back to.
BotW
Smash
Odyssey
Splatoon
All the Wii U ports since no one plays on the Wii U
Mario Maker in a month
SEETHING Sonyboy
So is this game actually as good as Galaxy?
I've been playing a mix of Taiko and Mania. They're both fun, might try playing through mania as some of the other characters after playing Encore mode and kinda liking some of them, and I'm still bad at Taiko but I might start properly trying oni difficulty but that'd take me a good few tries to clear something I reckon.
I'll probably get the Messenger while it's on sale, but other than that I'm just waiting on Kill La Kill If as the next game I'm interested in.
I didn't suggest it myself, but I'm glad you've having fun user. I really love the boss theme in that game personally.
youtube.com
not even close, it's too easy and you only get a few challenging parts on the post game
>playing
Girls und Panzer and Super Robot Wars. Wish GuP's online worked outside of Asia.
>buying
Waiting for Mario Maker and Dragon Quest Builders 2.
my girlfriend is whimpering in the background playing Cuphead
It's better.
I mostly just play Smash, Minecraft, and now Saints Row 3
What's this user?
besides the obvious nintendy shit I have unraveled and human fall flat, pretty great co-op games.
is mania good with two players if one is inexperienced?
I love 2D sonic but my gf tends to play with me, would it be too much or confusing?
>tfw been working 10-12 hour days nonstop for the last two weeks
>Have enough money to buy switch after paying off and buying essitentials
>TFW boss says he would call me when he had the money to pay me
>It's been two days
REEEE I just wanna buy my switch and enjoy my weekend, Mom and Pop shops suck as an employee sometimes
>all the Wii U ports
Lying this bad
Just finished Bayonetta 2, gonna start Xenoblade Chronicles 2 now.
XC2 feels laggy tho... I thought it was 60 fps
This.
I’m playing Dark Souls for the second time. It’s honestly almost better than when I played it for the first time because now I know where to go, what to do and how to play.
Unfortunately I have to go through Petit Londo and fight the Four Kings, one of the bosses I hated the most... but I killed O&S on my 4th try, so maybe I got gud this time
I think at least the good thing about ports on switch is the portability
How is the GuP switch port? ideally I don't want to buy it on ps4
Are you playing in handheld mode?
>Cherrypicking this much
>sequels are ports
ports, and released ages ago, this machine is a failure, and remember,a good chunk of the switch base owns another console,it would be impossible to only own a switch if you like games
Who cares, this thread isn't about bragging about switches or company war shit so stop trying to turn it into one
Its miles better.
Pretty great, but I haven't played the PS4 version so I can't compare them directly. As far as I know there's no way to play online unless you're in Asia, unless there's a workaround I don't know about. What's nice is that you get the Japanese day-one DLC for free.
Thinking about picking up Ape Out and Bastion
Atelier is a long-running jrpg series focused on creating items through an alchemy crafting system, it features cute characters and a relaxing atmosphere. The upcoming one, Lulua, is the fourth entry in the Arland sub-series, with all three previous ones also being on Switch.
Way better than Galaxy. It's the best Mario platformer as far as I'm concerned.
How hypocrite, when people are attacking other platforms in this same thread you don't seem to mind
It’s far better than world
It actually has content
Seething about what?
What does this have to do with Sony? I have a Switch and its a shit "console".
Nope, it runs like shit.
Handheld mode also looks like this.
It’s better
Like Mario has never been better
Isn't the second player pretty much invincible? I think that's how it was in Sonic 2.
Is Taiko even fun without the drum
No, TV.
Maybe the early game is like that.
I'm currently in the 1st town and the game runs like 45-50 fps
how to fix dorifto?
Recently got Katana Zero and Project Nimbus for it and have been enjoying those a lot.
Otherwise it's mostly been MHGU while I'm in bed or at work.
I mean you can get the drum, but I don't have it and I still find it fun, though I really like some of the songs in it so that helps.
You sound butt devastated about something, we're not here to babysit you.
Still on my second NG playthrough of Xenoblade 2. The more I play, the more I appreciate the efforts put into lore building, and the more I feel merc missions were a mistake. Can't set premade teams for repeat missions like Ursula's, constantly interrupts your gameplay to refill missions every 10-20 minutes, won't even complete in sleep mode even though they feel like they should and Smash Bros' can, 99% of them give shit rewards, have to slowly watch the affinity chart progress of all your trash Blades...
I appreciate what they were trying to do with them but they really botched the execution.
It's forgettable and underwhelming, mostly because nothing is challenging or well designed. Its fun the first run through but you start seeing repeats pretty fast. It's like if 64 became Banjo Kazoee and rewarded you for doing things like waiting for flowers to grow or hitting a rock a few times to get a jiggy.
Even the last challenge level is piss easy.
Playing some Octopath. I could finish it now but I want Warmaster and Starseer.
I feel like there's a lot of lesser known titles that no one posts in these threads. So, let's post em. Kinda looking for something to buy.
>and the game runs like 45-50 fps
That's pretty amazing.
>I'm currently in the 1st town and the game runs like 45-50 fps
The fuck are you talking about? It never goes above 30.
Yoku's Island Express is a fun mix of pinball and Metroidvania
Guess I'll just take your word for it, I'd rather own it for switch anyway and I'm not a graphicsfag by any means so I don't care as long as it runs fine, I'm glad Switch is getting animu game support, where the handhelds go I follow.
That town is particularly terrible for slowdown. It probably has the most NPC's per square metre in the game.
no idea thats why im asking.
if it is invincible is it even still fun?
I just installed HBG shop right now, what should I download now?
I loved Steamworld Heist on 3DS and it's only $6 on Switch right now. Dig/Dig2 are also on sale.
Iconoclasts is great, one of my favorite game stories of the past ten years.
Thimbleweed Park is great but as a point and click it's obviously better to play with a mouse on PC unless you really want to play it on the go.
Bloodstained, Yoku's Island Express, and Golf Story are all definitely worth it.
Mega Man 11, Splatoon 2, and Monster Hunter GU.
Is the Castlevania collection good, like is the emulation competent or does it suck?
Playing FFVII until Super Mario Maker 2 comes out
God damn it's so good, I've played it many times over the years and yet I'm not bored of it.
The fast forward feature is a godsend.
HOW?
I'm not shitposting but Galaxy 1 and 2 were way better than Odyssey, Odyssey isn't bad but just dissapointing compared to both Galaxy
Steamworld dig 2 is so fucking good. One of the first game su bought on switch and I loved it
Almost done with LEGO DC Super Villains, might look into the DLC but I'm shocked that LEGO games have gotten to that point (haven't played one in awhile)
Picking up Team Sonic Racing on Tuesday morning so I can play it while I get my oil changed, hoping to drag a friend along with me
Absolutely nothing?
Where the fuck are my in-house Nintendo games?
Wheres:
- Pikmin
- Viewtiful Joe
- Star Fox
- ACTUAL No More Heroes game
- Paper Mario
- GOOD Monster Hunter game
- SMT V
- GOOD Fire Emblem game that isn't made by faggot doujin authors
Where the fuck are the fucking games? This machine is a fucking meme and the manchildren that defend it tooth and nail need to be culled.
>got tetris 99 yesterday
>three 2nd place finishes
>choke at the end badly to lose
I'm doing my first playthrough of DS right now. But it's not lifechanging or anything since I already played DS2, Bloodborne, and Sekiro on PS4. It's just more of the same, which is good.
4 Kings were easy peasy for me. But I got a fully upgraded Black Knight Sword very early on.
Playing Xenoblade 2, Castlevania Collection, and Smash
Waiting on Mario Maker 2, Astral Chain, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing and Cadence of Hyrule for this year so far
I hated how the Galaxy games controlled, which is a big factor in a Mario game. Waggle was basically just a panic button too.
Why is DQ Builders so expensive? I've been trying to find a physical version of the game but it's still full priced, what gives?
I haven't noticed anything off with Bloodlines, IV, Kid Dracula or the GB games. The version of 1 used has a beep in stage 4's song and will crash with too many sprites on screen which I think will technically be fixed when they patch in the jap versions. People keep saying the collection is awful though, but the only issues I can find are of 1.
>Paper Mario
>Good Fire Emblem
I'm sorry to tell you this user but IS has literally been dead for like 10 years now. Echoes was great but mostly because of graphic design choices, the gameplay was still meh.
SMTV is overdue for sure though. Hopefully some news this year.
MHGU finally went on sale so downloading that right now. Otherwise waiting for Digimon survive and the HaMe port. I'll probably pick up DQ11 when it comes out too but I should really finish all my FF games
>Viewtiful Joe
>In-house Nintendo game
>Viewtiful Joe by modern Crapcom
>Viewtiful Joe without Clover
user, 2004 was 15 years ago, move on.
So, I recently bought a Switch, this is actually my very first Nintendo system, always been a Playstation guy at heart, can someone explain the appeal of this game? It's just not doing anything for me.
I played it on emulator with a normal controller so I didn't have any issues like that, fair enough.
But when it come to design, powers and levels, sorry but Odyssey is too dissapoiting
It’s not fir everyone. I loved all other zeldas and couldn’t get past 10 hours of botw
how far are you? the game begins open up after a while and that's when I got hooked
It's pretty much a physics and chemistry system playground, some of the stuff you can do and how things interact is pretty amazing.
What games should I get that I dont already have?
>BotW
>MK8D
>Odyssey
>Spla2n
>MHGU
>Pokken
>Hollow Knight
>XBC2
>Okami HD
>Dark Souls
>Smash
>Bayo 1
>Bayo 2
Physics mainly. If you want some good normal Zelda's to try I recommend A link to the Past and Link's Awakening for 2D or Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess for 3D. Of course of you're willing to go back consoles or emulate.
I'm not an expert but Castlevania collection seems solid
A few issues though
>controls for most games can't be changed
I got used to the controls quick but lots of people seem to dislike the control layout
>the music in the menu gets glitchy
At one point the music in the main menu got fucked up, so the collection has hiccups. The games themselves seem to run fine to me, but I don't know them well at all. I got to dracula in the first game with no issues.
I just got out of Kakariko (I think) Village, talked to Impa, and she told me to go to another village.
Most overrated game on the switch. I loved every other 3D mario game besides Sunshine and this game really offers nothing, feels fucking soulless too somehow. Don't know what the problem is but collecting moons isnt satisfying and there is absolutely zero fucking platforming in a platformer. Can barely even hold a candle to galaxy.
Feels better on PC imo, the switch controls are kinda fucky.
Get Torna if you enjoyed XBC2
>not including Odyssey, M+R kingdom battle, Splatoon 2, or Golf Story
Shit tier bait, user
where's the best place to buy a cheap switch in the UK lads?
It's just not a very fun game. It's for people who like doing nothing for the same rewards on repeat. I got bored after I realized the game never changes after the tutorial and the combat stays bad.
Get Splatoon 2 and BotW
You'll need Nintendo Online for Splatoon 2 though, so if you go for that then just buy a year for 20 bucks, then get the Nintendo Game Voucher bundle and download the games with that so that you save 20 bucks on the games making the online pretty much free
From my experience people either seem to love Breath of the Wild or hate it.
It harkens back to the original Legend of Zelda in a lot of ways, where you're just dropped into a world and expected to explore it. You start off super weak, and gradually get more and more equipped to deal with the world around you.
The amount of things the game lets you do with how versatile its physics are is pretty impressive for some, but it doesn't help that most problems the game throws at you have a straightforward solution that 9 out of 10 people will use as opposed to get creative.
>explore
>hoard every drop you come across
>kill things
that's pretty much all there is to it, I loved it, but I definitely think a lot of tards pitched it as "the greatest game ever" when it clearly isn't.
The combat is too minimal to be engaging, and the progression loop gets stale as soon as you've charted all the areas on the map
should i get RPG maker? i mean, is it good?
Also when are we going to get spyro?
I just want to play crash, spyro, the not rollcage game, bayo and nintendo games in the same console (and i hope we get oddworld soulstorm too), hell, what a time to be alive.
Golf Story
Tales of Berseria port when?
Exploration is the big appeal. You can go anywhere and do whatever you want, however you want
OH NO NO NO FUCK OFF TO YOUR BURKASTATION DUMB SNOYGGER
How is Don't Starve on the switch? Never played it on ps4 but used to watch my buddy a couple of years ago.
I think the issue is exploration without proper engagement isnt very fulfilling. It just has visual set pieces without the depth of content.
I will start Tales of Vesperia after I finish up KH2FM. I was looking at getting the FF games but I don't feel like starting something that I will just end up dropping once Classic WoW comes out. I might pick up one new game (maybe Hollow Knight) or just reply some games until August.
I think the idea of the game is that you aren't supposed to see a progression loop, you're supposed to just enjoy exploring for the scenery and little experiences you get here and there. If you're motivated to play by getting shiny trinkets from enemy camps, its probably not the game for you. The game probably got such high review because if you play it just to get to the end and nothing else you have a great time until the underwhelming final boss, but if you try to explore everything and turn the game into a checklist, it becomes far less fun.
Are you okay?
I agree pretty much, it feels like a skeleton of a potential masterpiece. I think people were more excited about what Nintendo will do going forward than the game itself.
But I do think it's great, it just loses some of its magic when you realize stuff like
>oh okay, I guess there's only like 5 unique enemies in the entire game
>N64
>Where the fuck are my in-house Nintendo games?
>GC
>Where the fuck are my in-house Nintendo games?
>Wii
>Where the fuck are my in-house Nintendo games?
>WiiU
>Where the fuck is my 3rd party?
>Switch
>Where the fuck are my in-house Nintendo games?
There is no fucking winning here and I feel sorry for nintendo for faggots who didn't grow up with the systems and never fucking learn that isn't how it fucking works.
Or
>another spirit orb ?
Dragon's Dogma.
better. has a deeper and more satisfying moveset, levels like New Donk City are basically a gigantic playground, enemy possessions add a lot if variety.
Tetris 99. Won the new skin yesterday
Playing: Valkyria Chronicles 4
Buying: Dead Cells maybe? Is it any good?
It’s a Nintendo
They hold their value
you don't need to go to akkala (the other viliage) but your runes really do start to help along your adventure and that's where you upgrade them.
if you're feeling bored already then fuck the main quest go wander around and you'll find something that piques you interest. It's a huge game with a lot packed into it
reminder you can get 2 eshop gift cards on the raise app for essentially $75 after the eshop gold coin gift
playing
yoshi
dead cells
cuphead
Bought saints row drunk, as well as block quest maker. Saints row is fine but laggy at times
Just picked up Thumper because five fucking bucks. Anyone else seeing Valkyria Chronicles for 50% off on the news ad but getting an error if you actually try to follow it to the eShop page?
Playing Persona 5. Can't wait for Royal :^)
its a terrible moneygrab. control your alcohol intake next time
i see it for $20
I just started Sundered and it’s really good, the controls feel amazing. Sayuki is on sale and it’s pretty decent too.
Waiting to see if the rumours of the Switch Mini and Switch Pro (or whatever they'll be called) are real, and if so, to see if they lower the price of the "normal" version or if the Mini version will be a decent choice to pick up instead because even though I'm interested in the console, I don't think it's worth the 330 bucks.
Especially considering that most of the decent games I'm interested in are 50 or 60 bucks, the Pro Controller is fucking 70 bucks and I fucking loathe paid online so much that it was what turned me off of getting the console day 1 as soon as they announced Switch Online on the second Switch Direct.
Yeesh imagine being such an autist
I bought my Switch at launch, it's been hands down my favorite modern console ever and it only gets better as more games come out for it.
And online was free for the first two years lol, you cucked yourself my dude
Nice blog faggot
How the fuck do I make the hat spin around me in Mario maker? The instructions aren't clear.
>Breath of the Reddit
>Super Smash Reddit Ultimate
>Super Reddit Odyssey
>Spreddit
>All the reddit ports since no one plays on the Wii U
>Reddit Maker in a month
fucking cringe
Is there any good game currently on sale? Apart from Guacamelee and Shovel Knight.
Are you okay?
are there any hacks for the switch that don't get it immediately banned if you do online play?
I've gone through four switches this weekend alone trying to play SSBU online. I'm hoping to not have to buy a sixth switch this weekend.
I have too many games that require me to play with skill. What's the chillest game I can play as I wait for Rune Factory 4 to release?
there's no new models coming out.
nintendo is cashgrabbing just as hard as anyone else.
are most of the games ports? yes
are the controllers too expensive? yes
is the online fee a scam? yes
but goddamn the games are fun
you post alot of golden wojack anal vore threads, don't you user?
Uh how about you just purchase a legit copy and subscribe to Nintendo online?
No.
yoshi
Currently playing Picross S3. I fucking love Picross.
Also finishing up Cuphead.
I'm also playing Valkyria Chronicles 4, but on PC.
Nigger pay for online if you're able to go through numerous Switch consoles.
You're not so poor where $20 a year will kill you.
the online subscription is literally less than 5 dollars for an entire year if you get the family plan with 7 more people
All the Steamworlds.
I do already pay for online. I just keep being banned for using hacked switches+pirate copies of SSBU,
>I do already pay for online. I just keep being banned for using hacked switches+pirate copies of SSBU,
Why hack them though
Moero Chronicle Hyper. I'm having a fucking blast, just reached the final dungeon, and it's amazing.
Wish more people would play it, there's barely any discussion about it.
cheaper than buying games on eshop or physical
Your solution is this: have two Switches, one hacked for single player games and one legit with legit copies for multiplayer
>terrible
No it isn't, BOTW runs just as bad or worse
>paying for smash DLC
user...
>buying
Reminder these are literal shill threads
Nigger you bought 5 switches obviously money isn't a problem for you, Trump supporters like you are really fucking dumb
Should I buy a Switch? I'm not super into Nintendo games except Pokemon and Smash.
>2019
>being poor enough to be a trump supporter
If I had to have a job do you think I'd be in a position to buy 10-15 switches in a given week when I hear about new hacks being released?
If you like indie games on the go sure
you stupid fucking idiot if you obviously don't like first party games then why buy a console from a company that's known for first party support
Go ahead and hack your Switch, nobody here gives a shit. But you have retards like this who are too dumb to realize you need a legit setup to play online.
Well Smash is already out and there's a mainline Pokemon coming out later this year, so it should be on your radar. Plus there are plenty of decent non-Nintendo games released for it, though IMO you should try to expand your horizons and give more Nintendo games a shot. Splatoon 2 in particular is a great game.
Go vote for that wall buddy, send orange man a check since you like wasting money
No. I was #WithHer in 2016, will vote Harris in the primary next year.
what are you playing/buying?
Just bought a Switch, actually. Waiting for it to arrive. My last nintendo console was a 64. I think I'll buy zelda:a link to the past and mario maker 2 as my first games.
Look into the library, look at what makes you want one and consider things you'd get on it if you already had one (ie. multiplats and things you don't care about as much), also consider things coming out but bear in mind that they are not out and quality is not guaranteed.
I mean though, what kinda shit do you like dude?
>zelda:a link to the past
Uhhh do you mean Link's Awakening?
only if you don't have splatoon on the WiiU though
spla2n is basically a port unless you also buy the $20DLC
Who hurt you user? Where did the bad man touch you?
>Oh no someone guessed my political affiliations and now I'm being called out on my spending habits!
>If I falseflag maybe I can make those libtards look bad!!
Nice try MAGAfag
I'm definitely planning on getting RE4 on Switch. The 30 dollar price tag is too much, but with my coins I can get it down for a reasonable price.
Also, how come Sonic Team Racing isn't up on the eshop yet?
Retard, it's the same game mechanically but with more weapons, different specials, different stages.and entirely different modes. Y'know just like any good sequel, it takes the original concept and builds on it.
playing Blaster Master Zero 2 atm. i'm loving the gameplay improvements from the first, as well as having several different planets to explore. however, i do miss how open the first game was. this one feels somewhat small in comparison.
bought The Messenger and Shovel Knight yesterday. i have $23 left on my account, and i'm torn between SteamWorld Dig 2 and Heist, along with a few other games that are on sale, or Katana Zero or Cuphead. any thoughts anons?
If you buy it, the switch will have fucked up pricing policy forever. Just fucking don't. Capcom can't keep getting away with this shit.
You aren't cool enough to be on resetera, are you?
Admit it, user. It'll make you less stressed out.
Oh shit, I though it was a link to the past that got a remake. Well that's good, I never played awakening.
About to finish up LEGO DC Super Villains, gonna pick up Team Sonic Racing on Tuesday
Get Final Fantasy VII. Do it. DO IT.
>I loved every other 3D mario game besides Sunshine
Opinion discarded
Pic related is you buying another switch
Playing some Dark Souls while I wait for TSR, REmake, and Atelier Lulua to come out.
It's on there, but you can't buy it until Tuesday
Man you really love reddit don't you?
I played lots of smash and beat BOTW and havent used my switch in months
any games i can play to make it not feel like a waste of money?
It's the one game where I'd rather travel by foot than horse or quick travel. The world looks fantastic and there's a lot of stuff to find which consistently rewards exploration. The world and the way Link controls make the game for me.
they took out a lot from the original and the gameplay is worse without the wiiu screen.
plus the "new" mechanics were in the first game but only single player so they could shill the "sequel"
one of the new game modes isn't even accessible when you want to play it and most of the free added content is from the first game as well.
splatoon 1 could've easily had everything the new one has with updates, it's a scam.
especially with the DLC not being included and an extra $20 for internet
lowest iq post ive seen all day. just have two switches and buy a legit copy of smash dummy. this isn't the 3ds era.
Currently playing MonHun, also played BotW and Dark Souls recently
I'm thinking about getting some musou since I've never tried any before and there are two that are Nintendo exclusive, but I haven't decided anything yet
Also keeping an eye on the new FE, but it's more curiosity than hype or something
any exclusive e-shop games worth buying?
I’m gonna take my switch to the pool while my gf sunbathes. Try to stop me
FFX
I just started it and while so far it's cool, I really don't like how long it takes before you can do a side flip. Makes jumps in place upwards weird. Instead you ground pound and immediately jump for a boost.
cope
Katana zero and katamari
I don't see the issue with thinking the Switch is shit, because it really is. If anything, you need to be mentally damaged to be satisfied with it.
Sega Ages Lightening Force
Are Bayonetta 1+2 worth playing on Switch (never played either of them before)?
meh
yeah if you like action games. 1st one plays a bit better but 2 looks better
seems pretty bland and button mashy but I haven't played it for too long there way be more to it
I never liked the idea of paid online. Knowing that it was going to be temporarily free only made the deal worse.
And unlike the brainlets that screech "I don't like that did , I'll vote with my wallet by not buying their stuff!" but then end up buying the shit they're complaining about, I don't mind waiting until I can get it cheaper/second hand or even just skipping it.
>462740789
Not even worth the (You)
I guess it's just Smash, Mario kart, and bits of NSMBU until Mario maker comes out. There's literally nothing else that has my attention or that I haven't already beaten/own.
The 2019 draught is 500x worse than last year.
Dragon's Dogma and FF VII depending on the day and mood. Currently on my way back from bumfuck nowhere thanks to accepting the escort quest in the castle town. What a pain that was.
it's definitely worse in terms of new releases, but at least this time there's more to catch up
Super robot wars T
I still haven't played this, normally would just play on PC but I like the idea of having it mobile. How bad is it on the switch?
I'm having a blast with Xenoblade 2
I'm playing Caligula Effect Overdose. It's basically Persona 2 with Social Links, but the dungeons and gameplay are nice.
I keep wasting time resolving traumas instead of advancing the plot though.
I played through the Tetris 99 event to get the Gameboy skin. After playing PPT, it's weird to not have characters shouting the entire match.
Paladins, binding of isaac, skyrim
>ACTUAL No More Heroes game
It's right here, fuckhead.
Speaking of which, anyone playing this? It's pretty good and somehow I've clocked 100 hours in.
based and normiepilled
Valkyria Chronicles 1
Got it from the sale and already played 18 hours
Can't believe they massacred my waifu
Why is Yea Forums so full of contrarian Sony fags?
I swear anyone who owns a PS4 is a delusional fuckwit that's just too stupid to build their own PC and play everything of worth with better graphics and performance.
Anyone getting Team Sonic and CTR? Still on the fence for the former
>tfw just noticed I haven't got a shipping notification about my LE from NIS yet
I guess this means it might come late.
This
I really liked innocent sin so this clone is exactly want I needed
Surely since the screen is so small, you can't tell anyways.
Yeah I'm picking it up on Tuesday. Was just watching a stream of someone playing it but he didn't really play the predecessors much so he wasn't all that into it
>Solved it
>Got it

I switched from a built PC to a laptop and a PS4 (and a Switch ofc).
Reasons: I needed a laptop anyway for travel, the PC is too bulky and my space is limited, a new build is too expensive, Kingdom Hearts was exclusive, I didn't want to play Persona 5 on an emulator.
The switch is my main console though if any.
I didn't know Minamimoto was in PPT.
Is it good or dog?
Based and switchpilled
Been mainly playing Va-11 Hall-A, New Super Mario Bros U DX, and Final Fantasy XII TZA. Probably gonna finish Va-11 Hall-A tonight after work and when I get paid tomorrow I'll be prepurchasing Mario Maker 2.
I've been playing it and aside from having to get used to the controls, it actually runs just as good if not better than the PS3 version. A lot smoother than what I remember.
Phantasy Star 1 is phenomenal. I got it on sale with coins yesterday and expected it to have aged poorly, but I can't stop playing. Legit one of my favourite JRPGs already. Everyone should try it.
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. I'm gonna buy FF7 soon, but I kinda want to finish FF9 first
Patrician taste. Best game on the Switch
Anyone pick up Guilty Gear Accent Core?
Will the elf love me for who I am or will she only want the dragon dick?
>full
Or just one/two autists racking up dozens of posts
Yep, it's fun. Thinking of starting?
As a fighter fan yea. Looks fun
It is the worst one though.
Galaxy 2>Galaxy 1>64>Getting cancer>>>>>sunshine
>Playing
Dragons Dogma having a blast
>Buying
I'm curious for Mario Maker 2 but I suck generally in 2D marios I'm great on the 3D ones and I don't really have that much creativity, Looking up for Xenoblade falls into discount tho.
>Galaxies over anything
just because they have a gimmicky controller scheme adn a God tier ost that doesn't makes them above anything.
>Playing Fighting games on Switch
not until Nintendo addresses the fucking issues with the thrash joycons.
Any potential mains jump out at you? If you're in EU I'd be down to play a few games. It's tough though, be prepared for it. Xrd stripped back a lot of character complexity.
Just bought a switch, what's a fun cheap $20-25 I can buy till my next paynigga
Wargroove or gungeon
>he buys switch games
Piratebros wjere you at
They suffice for me in handheld, and i have a pro controller for tv play.
>Playing
Finished Katana Zero. Really nice art style but it was way to short.
Currently playing Shovel Knight and all the DLC's
>Buying
Mario Maker and the New Crash Kart game
baba is you
severely underrated soundtrack
waiting for dq builders 2
I wish someone would buy me a switch. I'm a poorfag whos every dollar goes to saving for school.
>playing
Disgaea 5
>buying?
On the fence on the Capcom beat em up bundle. I grew up loving these games but not sure how fun they would be now and with infinite continues. I hear the online multiplayer is dead too.
It's a different game from MHW. If you suck at World, then you'll probably hate MHGU. If you like World, then you'll probably enjoy the superior online system, but you'll have to get used to all the QoL changes from World being gone and a harder armor skill system.
>still can't marry the dragon
I hate this but I will still buy and play easy 80 hours
Currently playing Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
In the US but I'm always down to play if on offer. As a newcomer who would be good to start with?
>just because they have a gimmicky controller scheme adn a God tier ost that doesn't makes them above anything.
It does, by the god tier soundtrack alone. Then you have the god tier level design playing with gravity. Galaxy is unmatched, and can only be matched by a game playing with the same mechanics.
Based
Got it on sale become best friends with voice volume zero and had a blast
Honestly if there was just “Turn off his gay storing magic sound” it would be a legit 9/10
Playing the Xenoblade 2 DLC and I'm really enjoying it so far.
Atelier Lulua comes out pretty soon and I'm looking at picking it up.
It’s really only 4 retards using proxies mods and surveys with IP checking have confirmed this fact.
lol no
it's better than sunshine but that's about it
64>G2>G1>>>Odyssey>Sunshine fight me plebs
Spent literally all day on Minecraft yesterday
That new update is pretty gud
>my waifu won't be on the Switch.
>youtube.com
It hurts, bros.
I'm thinking of buying this to play TWEWY. I don't have a 3DS anymore.
amazon.com
I'm thinking of getting worms end. how is it?
Lads I just picked up Shovel Knight so I could lay in bed and have something to do besides masturbate and phone post. How'd I do?
I love the "fuck you" nature of Bad Girl's fire Skill Chip. And I appreciate that it even works on the bosses.
It's always going to be a tricky game no matter who you pick, so choose your favourite. Venom and Eddie are the two hardest, but even they are fine if you put in the time. I like messing around with Kliff personally since his whole gimmick is having a giant sword that takes up half the screen. He's relatively slow but really fun. If you have an extra 15 dollars (not sure on US price) look into a pokken controller too, amazing dpad and a comfy overall controller for 2D games without breaking the bank.
most people that talk about frame rates don't know what they're talking about
Well, you're still phoneposting.
She's so gorgeous, she didn't deserve such a fate
Ooh MHGU is on sale. Quick, help me decide. Is this worth $30 or should I just save the money for Iceborne?
I hope Pokken gets a better sequel with proper single player stories, played it on wii u but with how bare bones it is made me not bother with the switch version.
Oh, check this out too. You can ignore the combo stuff for now (don't worry about them yet), but there are video summaries for each character.
it has more content and more gameplay variety than MHW and possibly Iceborne too. If you don't mind losing what world brought to the series then it's a pretty solid buy.
I love her, I'm really happy they're expanding on her in this DLC. She's so cute.
She deserved better
Absolutely worth that, damn. Buy it ASAP. You can co-op around the world pretty comfortably too so LMK if you're down for some multiplayer hunts. Progression and endgame are way more interesting than world, and it has some of the best fights in the series.
BotW. Bit disappointed, but it's a decent game.
World has 35ish monsters. Iceborne so far has added 5 more. GU has over 100.
It's a buy then. Thank anons.
Cry harder.
Tempted to get Project Nimbus but I really should beat some of the games I already have before I buy anything new.
I have Crafted World, but haven't started it yet.
Going to be getting Star Allies, Super Mario Maker 2, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Pokemon Sword. Actually surprised, didn't think there would be so many games I was interested in all at once in a single year. I normally buy 1 or 2 video games a year.
Enjoy user, I wish I could experience classic for the first time again. You can redeem the free dlc if you want access to some startup items (potions, zenny, armor spheres) although you're given a huge amount. Worth remembering if you're finding the first few hours too slow. It's more of a gradual incline than world.
@462768304
not even worth a (you) at this point
he literally said he is waiting for iceborne, so he has probably already played world. I guess consolewar faggots can't even read.
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. Loving it.
What’s your problem, man?
How's the Thumper switch port? No frame drops?
uh ok
Why grey
Dragon Marked for Death
has anyone ran this on the swith emulator yet?
Haven't touched my Switch but I will get VA-11 HALL-A
Nothing. There are no games.
MHGU was enjoyable, but that was almost a year ago, right?
Every multi plat is considerably (2x-6x) cheaper on PC, so the portability isn't worth the price.
GU is only 6 months old
Playing Tetris. Trying to get a sprint of under a minute.
It's gonna be a while I think. Just shy of seven seconds before I get there.
This. People keep bringing up Mario and Zelda like they aren't ancient. Then they point to ports that are cheaper on PC and have also been out for years. Then they point to WiiU ports. It's sad. Where are the fresh new games?
Where's a good f-zero game?
Where's a good Viewtiful Joe game?
Where's pikmin?
Why was Metroid's development reset, and the only zelda game on the horizon is a remake of link's awakening, a 30 year old port?
I could go on and on. Nintendo has games that aren't Mario and Zelda, but you wouldn't know it looking at the Switch. So sick of people defending this shit. Hell, now they're charging for the online but it's still dogshit. It's worse than it was when it was free. Smash is straight up unplayable.
I'm hacking my 3DS to play Dai Gyakuten Saiban
Last game I played on my switch was Baba is You 2 months ago
I have poked a bit at Dragon Marked for Death, which seems really good, but I'm not really in the mood for this kind of game where you grind it out to get better, so I have tried to play some Last Blade 2 and figure out that game a bit more.
Not sure what they want you to do with Speed. It's custom combos, but I can't seem to get anything off. Is my timing wrong or is it specific secret input?
I beat super mario bros U deluxe and Yoku's Island Express today. Both are pretty good.
Get GU
You’ll thank me later
It’s good I just suck at it
Lol no
It won’t even boot last time I heard
Sonic Mania is dope as fuck.
>August 28, 2019
So 9 months. Still seems so long ago.
I guess the risk is too high? Shitting out low effort cash grabs seems to be the new norm (pokemon, the zelda remake, the new fire emblem).
Eh, it's probably worth $30 of fun. Just know that it's not nearly as good as MHW.
And the 100 monsters that mentioned are mostly boring filler.
should I wait to buy the switch xl plus
>9 months is a long time
Relax retard
You already missed the hacking train why wait now?
You need to play vc4, xc2, mario
I said it SEEMS like a long time, since there have haven't been any games (with the exception of smash).
Do you guys actually dock your system? I've only ever used it as a handheld.
because i bought a 3ds xl than the 3ds xl plus came out 2 months later.
Bought a ps4 than 2 months later the ps4 pro got release.
irked me so now im debating on just waiting
hang in there bro
I almost use it exclusively docked. I love the pro controller. So happy to see that the sort of games we got on 3DS and DS finally get to appear on the big screen.
I usually play it docked
i haven't even taken the dock out of the box famm
I love playing it in bed or when I watch movies on my ps4
I've been holding off on getting a Switch until the library built up a bit. I'm finally ready to take the plunge, but I feel like I should wait until after E3 just in case they announce a new hardware revision in line with all these rumors I've been hearing.
my problem is I like to play it in bed and I don't want to move the dock to the TV.
I mean, its a really long shot but its also only like 3 weeks away.
What games are you gonna start with?
based and redpilled
I’ve never used it docked, always handheld. I don’t even remember where I put dick after moving
Docked. Performance is terrible undocked, and the joy-cons are worthless.
Just wait. BOTW and Monster Hunter Generations can be emulated for free. Nothing else on Switch is worth playing.
I was expecting to use it only undocked since I prefer handhelds but the Switch is just too uncomfortable. I think it actually gave me chronic wrist pain. That coupled with the joycons having no proper d-pad and a lot of games running and looking like shit in handheld like XB2, my Switch almost never leaves the dock now.
Mario Rabbids is way better than it has any right to be, I can't stop playing it
I don't even have a TV. Really wish they'd have sold a cheaper, dockless bundle, I'd have bought that instead.
So if I lucked out and got one that is vunerable to the paperclip thing then I'm fine no matter what firmware I'm on,right?
Don't want to hack it yet but just curious.
I love it a lot. It cheeses you nastily sometimes. Grinding for better weapons becomes mandatory at times
I thought Japs weren't allowed to toke up.
I found it refreshing after so many big open world games drop you into a world but then make you follow a very strict set of goals and tasks which seems like a waste of the openness.
I found the great plateau tutorial frustrating for this reason but once I left there I felt truly free. It was amazing knowing I could tackle the adventure however I wanted
Got my copy but am wondering if LR game copies are supposed to be slow? I mean just going to the options menu the loading is quite slow. Unless that's how it was in the digital version.
>Rabbids get to chill with Mario
>but not Rayman
>meanwhile...
>youtube.com
Yowza. Poor elbowless bastard.
>Just wait. BOTW and Monster Hunter Generations can be emulated for free. Nothing else on Switch is worth playing.
objectively false.
Somehow i really doubt you even own a switch
I always leave mine docked and plugged in, is that going to fuck up the battery?
Also looking at getting the messenger, is it any good? Waiting for katana zero to go on sale. Any other e-shop games worth getting?
I already have: botw, Odyssey, octopath, spal2n, okami, rabbids, mk8, darkest dungeon, golf story, transistor, tiny metal, shovel Knight.
Do I want BotW or Odysssy or DOOM for the Switch , literally the only games I have on my switch are Smash and Let's go Eevee and I kinda want to stop playing Smash 24/7
>he died not as a terrorist or a corporate pawn
>but as a cop
Absolutely based.
Get Hollow Knight, Bastion, Steamworld Dig 2 and Yoku's Island Express.
What about detective elf?
If you combine it with Smoking King's Gas Chip, it'll explode.
Same thing with other bomb and fire chips.
Depends, do you prefer Zelda games/open world exploration or Mario games/sandbox platforming? You should get DOOM on PC, it's probably cheaper and I don't understand people that suffer FPS on consoles instead of KB+M.
I'm surprised that the speakers on these things are pretty loud. The stand sucks though.
BotW is basically an exploration/fuck with physics game, Odysssey is a damn fine 3D Mario, don't bother with Doom unless you really want to play it in handheld mode.
Just get Splatoon instead.
>got hollow knight months ago
>made it to the rainy city area
>comfy, really enjoyed playing it
>stopped playing for some reason
>feel like I have to start over if i play it again
Also, thoughts on Atelier games?
Recommendations?
>Mario Odyssey
Disappointing
>Pokemon
Nice joke
>Smash
Disappointing
FE looks OK, but that's not for another two months. Animal crossing has been delayed. SMT5 has been delayed indefinitely.
Anyone play the yomawari collection? Is it worth the 40 bucks?
>yomawari
played it on vita, didnt like it
>- ACTUAL No More Heroes game
ACTUAL Fake news.
Breath of the Wild is amazing, definitely that.
I got 1500 points in the tetris event, I swer if I don't get those fucking coins I'm never doing one of these ever again
Darkwood. Atmosphere and spooks are some of the best ive seen in a game since silent hill 2. Passed tho because I died in a poison mushroom field and now every time I try to go and grab my stuff I keep dying to the mushrooms. I've dropped like 10 bags around that one area.
But I own a Switch. What does my comment have to do with Sony at all?
Nice conspiracy theory. Yes, everyone loves the Shitch.
havent used my switch these past few months since games i wanted to play was all on pc.
But did finally beat Darker side of moon challenge in Mario Odyssey today.
Still need to play Torna and finish XC2 post game/NG+.
Didnt start BotW yet.
Ready to take the plunge now still without games?
Nah most modern device know to discharge a bit then recharge
It’ll drop to like 90 then fill back up it’s referenced to as a power cycle
Nintendo is so fucking slow in putting old games on the Switch. You can't play a single Metroid on it, no Earthbound even though it was on the Wii U, at first I liked the idea of a subscription service for retro games because it would make me try new ones since they were so easy to access. But holy shit, at this rate we're never gonna get anything interesting, I would rather have the VC back because we're stuck with only a couple of NES games and the consoles is already 2 years old, that's a third of its lifetime.
Go play Terraria you fat fuck.
Why the fuck would I play a shitty minecraft clone that's ancient and boring?
Relax child, no one cares what you think or that you obsess over a shitty tablet. Many people, myself included, can express their dislike for a shit console.
Wow, what a boring person you are
BotW is game of the gen, Odyssey and Doom are good too, I finished and enjoyed both, but BotW is something that you have to play.
all the time, depends on the game but splatoon and xenoblade feel way better docked. others i switch around.
>I feel like there's a lot of lesser known titles that no one posts in these threads. So, let's post em. Kinda looking for something to buy.
Get Gorogoa, it's amazing
Emulation of current systems is retarded, the frustration of graphical glitches and waiting for the games you want to play to be accurately emulated isn't worth the $250 you save on the fucking console, you would have to be extremely poor or be part of a master race religion since you're spending way more on a PC. I was there, I got tired of waiting and trying settings for Persona 5 and got a fucking PS4 and played it, the game wasn't even that good and I spent so much time and effort trying to emulate it correctly.
Smash is the best in the series but okay. Mario Odyssey was disappointing, but still a good game. I recommend you Xenoblade 2 and Splatoon 2, Yoshi is pretty good also.
What's the problem with Pokemon? It's a remake of the first gen, the only difference is that you don't fight wild Pokemon, but there are even more battles to make up for it.
Take a step back and look at your comment bro, you're being a cunt and your comment won't ever help anyone. I can't believe you're even replying to what people say to you, it's the type of comment that you just leave and then close the tab.
He's boring for not investing time in a console? Speak for yourself, you seemingly make a console a bigger part of your identity than him which is way more pathetic.
Anyone get used to the “Pop-In” environment effects in Dragons Dogma yet?
Okay, I own the console and almost the entire library. It's a shit console, I contribute by informing others of this fact. What does this have to do with helping others?
I am HELPING by telling people to avoid a shitty console.
>I can't believe you're even replying to what people say to you
Its been hours and I'm waiting for something. What of it?
Is Battle Chef Brigade any good? It looks like fun and the art seems decent.
>buying games
you can hack the switch so easily
>Okay, I own the console and almost the entire library.
are you a pirate
Just bought a 256 gig sandisk for my switch, definitely never going to fill that thing up but decided I’d rather take my games digital. Especially with Mario maker 2 and animal crossing coming out soon, seems really unnecessary to swap carts all the time. What kinds of cards do you have Yea Forumsros?
>paying for downgraded ports
Citra and CEMU are both near flawless. Comparing them to shitty PS3 emulators isn't even the same ballpark.
Both games feel soulless and cheap. As for smash, my experience online was a total mess. I had better luck playing Smash 3ds (plus I didn't have to pay for it).
400 gb and just filled up half up already. western shit is the biggest culprit and i wish they would optimise more but whatever no big deal.
i miss 4glory and 4fun for quickplay. rooms are better but when i just wanna do a few rounds and play i gotta hope its not another 1v1, all items and final smash on pikmin stage.
>MHGU on sale in America
>Europe is still full price
Any chance we'll get the sale?
That must be it, I see people complaining about the online all the time and I absolutely never had any issues, I just play 1v1 with no items though.
>5GB for FF9
>Atelier games are +6GB
Japanese are to blame as well.
why would you play downgraded ports at all, don't you have a PC
Can't you just switch your system's location and buy it?
>can't play a single Metroid
No idea...
Is hyrule warriors good? I need something to play.
>grey joycons, oddysey and a pro controller
when did everyone on this planet become so picky
no
I got addicted to Spla2n again so that, I also need to resume WoFF. Waiting for Chocobo MD Everybuddy to go on sale.
Have you played any Warriors game before? If yes, you know what to expect and it has a lot of content.
yes
It's a musou
If you like musous you like Hyrule Warriors
Thanks.
>a good chunk of the switch base owns another console
i'd hope the majority of people on Yea Forums own multiple platforms.
Yes though I wish they had an actual budget
I wish Capcom and the Battle chef devs made Monster hunter: Battle Chefs Gourmet
No, I haven't. Is it anything like God of war (ps2) but in an arena?
interesting
Golf Story
Played a little Tetris99 until I unlocked the new skin. Started playing Hellblade and I've been heavily enjoying it. Also replaying the Ace Attorney games, currently on Turnabout Samurai
not really. You get thrown into a map and are asked to complete different objectives around it while progressing it. Most of the objectives just boil down to "beat down those bad guys". Gameplay isn't really complex, you got your combos that are meant to be used for different situations. One might be good to attack tons of enemies that are on front of you, another to attack if they are around you and another to deal more damage to stronger enemies and so on, but there's no stuff like juggling or anything too deep. It's fun in a mindless way, if you haven't played one of these this one is probably the best to jump into, especially if you are a zelda fan.
with how people shit themselves over multiplats I don't think so
I am not banging the cheaply made joy-cons against ANYTHING. I already have to take apart and repair those little fucks enough without deliberately beating them against shit.
...I really want the drum though ;_;
>I am not banging the cheaply made joy-cons against ANYTHING.
Huh? I don't think it works like that dude.
