I started with MHW, always wanted to play the series but I just didn't own the hardware to play. After 300 hours, I'm pretty much done.

Picked up MH4U. Absolutely in love. I feel addicted to this style of game. It just feels right and my love for MHW just bottoms out the more I play this game.

Also own Generations for DS. How can a game be so boring. I cannot have fun with it for god knows why. It just feels like a hazzle to play and I cannot figure out why.

I have an i7 and GTX670. Sekiro ran well for me on "high", that's what the game recommended me when I first started. (1 setting under best graphics)

They did, but shelling still did proportionately less damage than in Gen becaue of the absurdly inflated raw and crit, and on top of that they nerfed the adept counter's damage because it was too overused, not realizing that it was overused because everything else was too shit. I’m not sure about low and high rank but g rank is fairly populated. Made a hyper agnaktor room earlier today and after an admittedly long wait of 15 or so minutes it completely filled. But considering it was fucking hyper agnaktor, a very specific monster with almost no good equipment and hyper, something no one likes, I consider that pretty good. If I start a room for metal gear bug or something it fills in a minute or two. As for a reason to actually play gen, styles and arts are exclusive to it and I honestly feel it’s something you should at least experience. Also ahtal ka is legit fun and a completely unique fight.

Valor is really shit past high rank (where it's godly). Shelling damage falls off as usual, the guard point is unusable against hypers and most deviants, and you just don't do enough raw damage. You have infinite combos but against most important matchups you don't want DPS, you want burst, which adept delivers better (but still not very well).

The game was praised for many things, including its roster, endgame and upgrade system, XX was praised as well for fixing many of the problems with Gen and adding a worthwhile and difficult G rank with the insanely difficult endgame that people have come to expect from these games.

So I've got kind of a general question. I played GenU as my first MH game, and I had a really good time with it for a while. I got some of the armor sets and weapons I wanted, and I generally managed to be comfortable with the game mechanics, but after I got to the top of high rank and into G rank it stopped being as fun. All the endgame stuff is either super jank or would take weeks, if not months of grinding to get through and the game has pretty much lost most of its appeal to me. I haven't even played it in more than a month because the things I have left to do are either unappealing or unproductive. Also zinogre and rajang are niggers and actively make me dislike the game.
Would I enjoy World more? I played using adept chargeblade if that makes a difference

I have tried changing it up a few times, but after dumping ~400 hours into getting decent with chargeblade I always fall back to it. I don't feel like my weapon choice is necessarily holding me back, but I do think that the way CB works rewards really slow, defensive play and doing solo hunts against the faster and more mobile monsters it can be frustrating. I have tried switching to dual blades a few times so I could unga bunga my way through some, but maybe I just haven't really invested enough time to get then hang of it

I didn't like Generations and haven't tried GU because of it, but I liked all the mainlines games from MHF2 to World aside from that. MHP3 not so much maybe, but it was fine.

Two, it's an objective fact that World is the easiest game to date. On top of things like potion walking, remounts if you fail and so on weapons have a much, much higher damage output while monster HP and damage has been cut quite severely.

You need to beat Xeno to access Iceborne's story and monsters. They already addressed this. On the other hand, stuff like the slinger changes will apply retroactively to the main game. So if you are starting out for the first time, you'll get the new moves right out the gate.
