Repeating minigames is always bad, I enjoyed Pocket Circuit the first time, the second time was just boring. I'm fine with certain low effort games being repeated like Mahjong which is just porting a chunk of code with little to no changes, because it's not a waste of time, but for the minigames with effort they shouldn't fall back to repeating old shit. Even the Cabaret Club minigame is annoying to me not because its bad, but because they could have done something new.

The cabaret storyline is new.
The roster isn't as broad compared to 0 and you get a bonus on xp for your girls through upgrades, which makes it easier and doesn't take as much time to max your girls out.
Girls also have a potential stat now.
Getting a commentator was nice as well.

Meanwhile the taxi minigame has you actually driving a car, either slowly and following the rules of the road while talking to passengers with distinct personalities which adds to the atmosphere of the city you’re in and gives you a new way of exploring it or racing street racers on pretty fun tracks without it dragging on too long and getting old. I wish they brought that back instead of shaping it into Pocket Circuit

What are you talking about? I said that it’s trial and error if you don’t just look up a guide, meaning that I’ve played the minigame without using one and all it was was annoying. It’s literally all about how much money you have and how willing you are to put up with losing races until you put the right parts on randomly because the game doesn’t explain what you need for each specific race well enough.

I also said that the taxi minigame was shaped into the Pocket Circuit minigame, not replaced. The racing side of the taxi minigame was much more fun than PC in my opinion because actually driving the cars was more enjoyable because of the physics and track design. It was also much easier to tell what each car upgrade did and you didn’t even need to spend real money for them as the minigame had its own currency based on how well you did in races and regular fares.

The tracks always tell you what hazards there are, and you pick the parts that give you the best advantage with those hazards while also allowing you to go full out without falling off the track, it's really easy to beat all the stages without a guide just by actually paying attention you ADHD retard.

Mahjong is making a hand of 3+3+3+3+2. The 3s in this instance are either three of the same tile (Like 5-5-5) or three tiles in numerical order (So 7-8-9) but they must be the same type of tile, you can't mix and match. The 2 is just two of the same tile.
The point is for you to make winning hands that have a point value. By default with a closed hand (Meaning you didn't steal a tile) you will always have a winning hand if you just get the 14 tiles and you can call Riichi if you are one tile away from winning when you press square which will bet 1000 points and auto-discard until you win, lose, or get a draw.
If you steal a tile the game gets a lot more annoying because you lock yourself out of a lot of hands and is used for very specific hands or for desperate wins (Like getting a triple of the honor tiles at the last minute) so don't do it until you've played the game enough to understand when to do it.

Just learn some simple hands, these are the easiest to learn at the start:
>No 1 or 9 tiles in your hand
>Entire hand is doubles.
>Full straight which is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 of one tile type, then three tiles either in triple or in sequence, and then a double tile.)
If you make the three tiles and the doubles part of the same tile type as the 1 through 9 tiles you get even more points.
>Triple wind of either the one near your name or the one at the center of the table.
>Triple honor tile like the red kanji, the green kanji, or the pure white tile.
You can learn the more complicated hands like two or more Kans in your hand, all triples and a double, etc later on.

3 has to essentially be retranslated because there's so many substories missing, the entire cabaret club and Hostess Maker was never in there in the first place, and they were using a lot of bad localizations (Like Mame being called Rex, The Florist was Kage, Kazama was Fuma, etc). 4 and 5 also probably have to get a look through, particularly 5 since stuff wasn't translated in the English version like the coliseum names, pachinko, and one other game.
I would not expect a PC version of any of them yet, they're not even out on PS4 in English yet.

Not unless you want to spoil 5's entire story and ending (Which is shown to you 1:1 except with the final boss not included), not know who Akiyama is (Despite being arguable the most importantperson next to Date), have Kiryu's ending speech to two characters mean next to nothing, and miss out on half the point of the orphanage bit which is to see the kids all grown up again.

You need to get the timing upgrade first then the timing becomes roughly like it was in the older games. The reason you're having trouble with it is that the enemies aren't as predictable in the Dragon Engine as in the older games and are way more random in how they fight so you end up with it being much harder to perform. The best way I found to do it besides just waiting around and reacting is to throw out a punch, wait roughly half a second, and then press triangle, usually works. The punch causes them to guard/back off and then retaliate right after that most of the time. Some attacks can't be Tiger Dropped though, the wrestlers have some spin attacks that I couldn't manage to do it with at least and they sometimes have these really delayed kicks that will sometimes just not let you do it even though it looks right.

Puzzle Pool is the only fun part of puzzle.

They're fun but grindy. Definitely give them a try, particularly if you're used to 1 and 2 since it's the same kind of overworld with fixed cameras.

Here's the thing, there's no English guides outside of a mahjong one for BP2. What you see up there is basically it, you more or less have to use Google Translate with Japanese guides and hope for the best. I mean, you're already using them for the story and substories but it's got a lot of broken English (Though still manageable). Hopefully you're patient because you really need it if you plan on tackling these games. It's worth it though, they're fun.
