In terms of gameplay it feels like Super Mario Sunshine meets Banjo kazooie. The platforming is very well made and very reminiscent of sunshine, and the main objective of the game is usually to do different shit to collect more time pieces. It doesn't have a lot of puzzles really, it's more platforming based

I just recently played through it. I overall enjoyed it, though I thought the platforming was a bit floaty and too easy to skip through with dash jumping. I also feel it was a missed opportunity to not have mustache girl have a more prominent role throughout the game, being one step ahead of you and setting up traps and such as a proper antagonist. Is the Nyakuza dlc worth it? I got the Seal the Deal one free when it launched, but I have yet to play through it.

I agree, my main gripe was that they set up Mustache Girl to be this big rival, and only use her in 1 or 2 spots before the end. sucks that they underused her like that, like you said there was a lot of potential for gameplay stuff.

Agree with both of you. Structurally, the game has some pretty obvious flaws that were clearly the result of changing visions and shifting deadlines during development. And yet, somehow the thing is held together with so much love and enthusiasm, coupled with tight controls and an outstanding ost, that it's one of my favourite games. I hadn't felt such unreserved fun from a game since Super Mario Galaxy 2.
