Everyone knows the Chimera Ant arc is the best anime arc in existence and even shits on the entirety of Brotherhood. It still stands even if you salvage Brotherhood's pacing in the beginning by replacing them with the first anime episodes.

The chimera arc has some good moments but has horrible pacing. Too many random pointless plotlines, and the conflict is basically over 2/3rds of the way through but the story keeps going anyways.
How chimeras work makes no sense either, how the fuck do genes carry over memories? I suppose maybe it's some nen bullshittery but it's never made clear. Also the surviving chimeras are let off the hook too easily, even before the king they were still responsible for the deaths of thousands.

But like I said. Yorknew is better. It might come JUST short of the high points, but the pacing is much tighter and it's a constant build with little wasted time. It's a more consistently well done arc.
