Joycons were a mistake

Joycons were a mistake

eh, they're ok

You must have a pro controller

When miyamoto dies nintendo will stop with their gimmick shit on every console.
Reminder: Because of that old fuck, the switch is weaker than the Wii U because its handheld version can only run 30fps. He HAD to have gimmicks for this console.

>>when miyamoto dies Nintendo will be like Sony and Microsoft as the kings of generic hardware who have not once designed a new controller or hardware idea because user is afraid of new things

Reminder that not once has Nintendo ever reused a controller layout. Even the godlike and accurate Wii U Pro layout didn't carry over to the Switch just so low IQ faggots like this user can have their "xbawks" controller.

How bout that Wii U gamepad battery tho :^)
>$80 controller
>needed to operate the consoles home menu
>10 inches of gap between hands

>new controller idea
Ignoring that every controller since the SNES has been consistently awful, the joycons suck because of build quality. A $70 controller shouldn't be so prone to failure.

>Ignoring that every controller since the SNES has been consistently awful
I actually quite like the WiiU tablet as far as controllers go for analog stick and button feel.

>$80
It comes with every console. Or were you a retard who bought just the console from someone?

More like the Shitch was a mistake

Agreed.
>$70 for a pair of those

>implying u dont break shit to flex the millions and millions of dollars you have

But you can get the same exact buttons and an upgrade from 3 hours to 80 hours of battery life with the pro controller

>t. Zoomer who thinks bottom stick layout is the best

>t. Soilet who cant handle the Wii U game pad

I like that everyone buys pro controllers just to look elitist. They are great and you have to have some serious tism to have a problem with them

>cousin dropped the gamepad on wooden stairs and destroyed the screen
>ordered one off of eBay
>switch the backs
>send it back saying it didn't work
If hell existed then I'd certainly be there

>the build quality sucks
>hurr durr muh layout

This is the pinnacle of controller design and ergonomics.

>top is gloss but the back is textured, where you'd grip the controller
>top sticks perfect for 3D camera and movement, absolutely perfect for FPS
>digital triggers mean you get action commands instantly instead of waiting for the analog spring to go from 0 to 100
>face buttons and dpad perfectly aligned for 2D games
>dpad is absolutely pleasant for 2D games
>start, select, home, and power are all easily accessible
>weighs less than most controllers
>uses a 3DS battery and has 80 hours of battery life
> $50 msrp but now difficult to find

>posting Tyler
Hello Lil zoom.

>he doesn't like the space between the controls

The Switch being portable is the only reason people would buy them over the PS4.

Nah, they're pretty comfy to hold.

Bought a switch 4 months ago, the left joystick is already broken, I tap it a little and it gets permanently stuck so my characters keep moving forward all the fucking time.

Sucks that all that technology costs $70 for a replacement

>haha I'm older than you
>still ignoring my point
Got some more hot memes dood?

definitely not sideways, but attached they're pretty nice

Sideways is pretty bad but holding both of them detached is great.

ive owned a switch since release. it has zero games. i have smash and thats all lmao what a sad console

I'm personally not a fan, I go for the middle attachment piece whenever I get a chance. Even one handed stuff feels weird to me, I gave up on playing TWENY. The wiimote feels way more ergonomic in comparison.

Get the joy con grips. I saw some gamestops having them on clearance. They basically give the joy cons the thickness of a wii remote and add more weight if you keep the batteries inside (which are used for charging the joy con aND can be used without them)

I guess it kind of depends on your hands. For me, playing with the detached joy-cons is really comfortable.

>left con keeps flying out of the switch every time a little pressure is applied
ok

Your lock mechanism is chipped. You can add metal locks but they come from China and the included screwdrivers are usually shit quality.

I honestly don't want to spend any money on joycons accessories until they make a revision that fixes the problems. I'm going for this instead so I can use my Wiimote and ds4 in the meantime.

Forgot my image

The ribbons inside are the most fragile things I've seen.

Good choice. Even works with a pc

Yeah, it feels like I'll get a lot of mileage out of it. Sucks you can't wake the switch with the PS button, but whatever, it sits on my desk.
Can't wait until it arrives.

i have the grips AND this. I use my Wii U Pro to dominate on NuDoom multiplayer. It's also perfect for Katamari. DS4 triggers are just too sensitive and the ergonomics are not as good.

Also use my Wii remote + NES Mini controller for the NES service instead of buying the $60 wireless controllers.

most people I know (all 3 of em) buy the switch for the exclusives not the portability.

nothing wrong with it but I would prefer nintendo to have a console with some power in it some day.

>DS4 triggers are just too sensitive
Yeah, I wish they were more clicky rather than springy. I actually like the layout a lot, but it could be Stockholm syndrome from growing up with it glued to my hands. I play mostly fightan and pre 5th gen stuff, gotta love that dpad.

That's what happened to me too. I sent them over for repairs but they replied that it doesn't come under warranty and demanded ~30$ for repairs. I ordered replacement metal locks from China for like ~3$ and replaced them myself. It's relatively easy if you follow a guide.

Can you play these wired to PC? I don't have bluetooth in pc.

I really want something like this.

I think you can with a software layer inbetween

The Wii u pro controller dongles for PC are like $15.

No. Joycons are incredible. The stick on the right joycon should havejust been above the buttons.
The Joycons aren't the mistake, asymmetrical sticks are.

I've been trying to make these things work on my PC but fuck that they keep dropping and have input lag.
Also both the sticks failed. Had to open the switch mechanism. This thing is hard as fuck to open, and the joycons themselves are kinda a mess internally too.

They needed ir sensors on top like the wii had so we could have light gun games.

I like them in some cases but they are too small for my liking
Pro controller is what i use

Cunt have you seen the gamecube controller? Literally their best controller aside the switch pro or wii u pro

Makes no sense. Hands are symmetrical, and you never wants your hands on both control sticks. Either one position is better for your thumb, or they are equal.

NANI! JOYCONU DORIFTO! MASAKA!

Its only good for playing melee. Can you imagine playing BOTW on a fucking GameCube controller?

Well honestly id use the two joycons for that
I use gamecube controller for mainly smash and mario kart

joycons are awesome. they just need to release 'joycons pro', that are bigger, with a size for adults and with better quailty.
keeping hands in any position you want while playing is the best!

I actually like using my wired switch controller more for ultimate since the normal spaced button make it easier to hit a+x for shorthop attacks. I still like the GameCube pad for smash, but I think its overrated to hell and not practical for most stuff.

>buys a console with games he has not interest in and complains about it
What a sad existence

Nintendo's going to have to """"innovate"""" for every console from now on ever since the Gamecube regrettably bombed and they've been running on fumes for games since the wii

Joycons make me happy to have small hands.

This is the best controller of all time.

No gyro
Even if there was, after trying to make Pro work on Switch I eventually made this because gyro on small controllers kinda sucks
