Round 1 raised their prices.
It’s like $1.25 to play skeeball but they hide the price with their point system. Arcades that use cards and not coins are not trustworthy.

...people actually like playing skeeball?

>mfw buying max credits makes all Bemani cost less than a dollar per game
Should've been like this since day one considering US is locked to the most barebones of gameplay options but better late than never. Shame DDR Gold cabs get completely assfucked by being locked to standard mode.

Attached: 217848174.jpg (800x450, 18K)

At least we get the cabs, but no Paseli fucking STINGS

Anyone that doesn't spend the full $100 on a card refill is a chump, unironically. If you're gonna be going to Round 1 somewhat regularly just dive in so you have enough to last you several months on one card refill.

So does Round 1 have any 3v3 team games?

Fighting games? It has KoF XIII, and should be getting KoF XIV soon.

Arcade needs to be pricey to keep certain population out.

Naw I mean stuff like Dissidia, Gundam VS, Fate Arcade, etc

I think they had NT, not sure if they do anymore.

Even then, Arcades aren't too bad if you get the $100 card refill. Last me about 3 months, or 13-14 visits. Sometimes more.

The one by me sucks, the workers look like they hate their lives, they dont reset any of the claw machines, and a lot of the good games just sit out of order for weeks on end. Like c'mon I just wanna play marvel there's only 2 cabs for it and 1 barely works.

They have a really fun motion controlled game called wizards dead or something of that nature

They're swapping those out for the SFV cabs

>I think they had NT, not sure if they do anymore.
Nice, hopefully they do in one of their Cali locations

I'm heading there for my birthday next Saturday. I wonder if we'll get Fate GO Arcade one day.

>2020 locations include OKC
>but not kansas
WHY
THIS STATE FUCKING BORING THERE'S NOTHING TO DO HERE

Shit I just came from Round 1. Shit's great if you love rhythm games. Everything else is meh and They don't update tekken 7 so I'm sad about that.

That's exactly why. At least OKC was interesting enough to get bombed.

Surprised? Not even dorothy gale wants to be in kansas.

They want to but Bamco won't let them. At least the Nesica cabs are getting updated soon, and hopefully SFV (lol) will get updates.

Actually, does that have online matches on the cab? Honestly curious. Is it cross-play?

No there's no cross play for the fighting games sadly. I am though enjoying the new golden cab.

Attached: gold cab.jpg (1080x1080, 129K)

Is it really locked to Standard Mode? You can't go harder?

I recognize the orientation for that cab. Lakewood?

>Cartoon Heroes

Based.

Yeah it's locked no premium yet sadly.

Yes I go to Lakewood a lot though sometimes I switch it up and go to Punta Hills Mall for the Dance Rush Crew since it's always hype there.

I want more fucking older songs.

No Round 1 in the area but I'm getting a Dave and Buster's in a nearby mall. Is there anything worth playing at those or is it all Fruit Ninja HD?

>no Round1 in Miami
At least my local former Game Works still has Extreme 2 and MvC2...

They're one DDR cab behind, but at least they have them I guess?

I'm in Long Beach, so Lakewood is just 10x easier for me to go to. Might check that one out if I'm in the area (fucking sucks that cards aren't shared between locations, tho)

Preaching to the choir, my man. I'm hankering for some Captain Jack and Hysteria.

>Game Works

That takes me back.

Fuck I still remember when the bowling alley got rid of Fifth Mix. I haven't played DDR in years though.

If you didn't ride the Sky Pirates machine before they all closed down you're a chump.

man why does SoCal have all the luck with locations

I'll have you know I am not a chump and I miss that place sorely.

Yo I'm long beach too let's meet up. (though it might be fucking a horrible idea) Also they recently sync the cards from location so Punta Hill Lakewood and Santa Ana all sync now.

Attached: 20190511_003337.jpg (2268x4032, 1.78M)

>The only arcade around my town is Dave & Busters
Fuck that shithole. Everything there is the same copy/pasted Raw Thrills game or Flappy Bird

Same. I miss the giant Hyperbowl setup on the second floor (although Hyperbowl is on Steam so this is mitigated a bit).

Does Round 1 have a half price day like Dave and Busters does? Round 1 has much much much better games but I'm a cheap bastard.
Also how does that 1 hour unlimited play card work? I can't tell what machines it would work on. I'm guessing anything that gives you tickets or crane games wouldn't work. I just wanna play rhythm games

Are you in the SoCal RGC discord, btw?

A couple of folks from the SoCal FGC wanted one so I made one.

Nesicaxlive 2 coming soon is exciting. Still sad about crossbeat losing it's online functionality and the same for initial d 8 machines. Most of the card readers don't work at either of the two locations near me

Attached: 1547681656994.jpg (1000x1000, 144K)

I'm getting a Dave and Busters near me, but it's Dave and Busters so not worth going to unless they have the huge Mechwarrior cockpits.

That's not an arcade. That's corporate bullshit.

Fucking SEGA won't send them the new Initial D cabs either.

It's the closest we get in the west, and they have cheap beer. I'm gonna give them my money.

Last I checked, the unlimited play card works on machines that have green card scanners as opposed to rainbow. It's mostly racing and light gun games that have unlimited play.

Corporate bullshit with a decent rhythm game selection. I also know a mom and pop arcade down the road if I'm in the mood for SOUL.

No but if you post the link I'll join. the only fighting game I play though is tekken and by my standards I'm trash.

Attached: 20190511_011506.jpg (2268x4032, 1.79M)

>At Round 1 last week(place is 10 minutes from my house)
>Saw one of the prize crane machines had figurines of Sakura from Card Captor Sakura(from Clear Card)
>The crane game is to hook the ring attached to a box to an S hook that is supspended on a chain that is hanging from the crane arm
>Got it first try
>Saw another same crane machine game that has a Nami figurine from One Piece
>Got it first try as well
>MFW

Shit was so worth it. That crane machine is so fucking easy to win and was worth getting both figurines.

Attached: THURMAN.jpg (500x438, 201K)

This. There's several arcades that have older/wider game selection but none of them have any rhythm games and almost no racing games either.

Went to the round1 in Grapevine Mills today. Played all of the rhythm games there but the taiko cab was still busted and there was a big crowd around the bemani cabs except for gitadora and dance rush.

So it's probably more worth it to just put like $20 down for regular play I'm guessing
I have an addiction for crane games but it's not worth it. I could play so many rhythm and racing games with that money

Look for the big green circle that says "Free Play" on certain cabinets.

discord.gg/2tSZatS

Here ya go. I said FGC but really it's an offshoot of a Melty/UNIST discord.

Just looking at it gives me the heebie jeebies. It looks so dead and soulless, like something I've seen in a dream before.

Attached: video-arcade-02.jpg (1400x914, 200K)

I really like that one dancing game with the full LED floorboard that incorporates more freestyle moves into it, I haven't played DDR and it's a lot more lenient with accuracy. I've been having, dare I say it, fun with that game actually.

>Our round 1 has tekken 7
>no one is EVER playing
>if anyone is playing, it's a little kid, not someone who is even remotely interested in tekken

I just want to play a fighting game I like at the arcade....

I went to Round 1 a while back and I can't stop thinking about it. The problem is their locations are in the middle of nowhere, but I was thinking of renting a car just to play there once a month.

I hear that Zero has no eurobeat anyway.
So fuck it, they can keep it in japan. I've already got ExSpec on infinity anyway.

mine has tatsunoko vs capcom, so that's pretty rad.

I was just at the one in sun valley mall all the fighting game machines were down cause of the rain or some shit couldn’t play mvc2

Dance Rush is fun, yeah.

The only time I went to Round 1 was to play BBCF like 5 months before it came out in the States.

Attached: 68012798_p0.jpg (1200x1598, 1.01M)

I see where you're coming from. R1 feels too clean and sanitized when you walk through the door. Then you go to the rhythm corner and see all the other weirdos who bring their box fans and odor to the place and you remember why you still come here.

Can these guys get at least ONE pinball table?
There's several manufacturer's now, and new tables are coming out each year. It's not some ancient novelty that requires a fortune and good connections to maintain.

Alright I join I'm Mike_rotch and I also posted the Dance Rush video

youtu.be/wePEfU10nLQ

One of the two Round 1s near me has three tables. It's in western MA, I forget the exact town name

An Uber might be cheaper, but I could be wrong.

Anyone go to the one in Southcenter? Is it any good?

I still play BBCF on their cabs pretty frequently... even though I own it on PC. I'm probably a chump.

Last time I was there I saw some dude clear a lvl20 song on SDVX

The raw energy he exuded was too much for my mortal eyes

Do people actually bring box fans? That's amazing

>actually going to sunset when you can just take the ride to arcade odyssey
live a little

Yes. Several guys do this.

If you're playing the dancing games, you gotta keep cool SOMEHOW. Generally the employees are understanding and will give you a jug of ice water, too.

>no Guilty Gear cabs
>Tekken 7 cab was busted last time I went
I really enjoy my round 1 for the karaoke, but every now and again I'll drop some cash on the arcade. Bone Eater Silent Scope is the fucking shit, and I really enjoy Sound Voltex and Groove Coaster. If I went regularly I'd totally try and put time into Beatmania, but freeway traffic can be a fucking nightmare in SoCal.

Attached: 1525732426651.png (599x423, 468K)

I mostly remember the trip because me and my friends went out of the way to hunt down a gamestop afterwards so I could buy UNIEL on PS3

>2020 locations include NJ
>it's really right next to Philly and near like 3 people that actually live in New Jersey
FUCK

Yeah, people tend to park at the dance cabs
I commonly see box fans and water jugs and backpacks piled up around DDR and PIU

Looking forward to playing SamSho on their Live 2 cabs since I'm not buying it until the PC version launch. Sorry SNK.

Ah man. Neither of the Texas locations I go to have Silent Scope.

Who did he mean by this?

It's got a fucking vent that sprays air out at you while you're zip-lining around. I'm not a hardcore arcade sniper or anything like that, but it's really damn fun. Only complaint is that I'm 6'2 and the gun is more or less at my navel, meaning I have to hunch down into the cabinet just to use the damn thing.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I've always been too self conscious to even play the dancing games so I didn't even think about them

he meant black people and hispanics

That sounds wild. And I'm a manlet so that's perfect.

Yeah, I want to get into them but I don't have the social energy to stand up there and suck dick and fall over on 6s or whatever I'd be able to play
I'm mostly a IIDX guy but I can't really hang around my arcade anymore because ex drama

Grapevine does have it, but eamusement services stopped for it 2 months ago and it's basically nonfunctional at this point
I'm pretty sure I saw it there

Is that Puente Hills Round 1 at Rowland Heights?

I'll know for sure in a week's time. Last time I went half the card services for rhythm games were offline. That sucked.

Taunton here, add white trash onto that
The high prices don't seem to do the trick though

>mfw some wigger kicked the fucking card reader off the silent scope cab, taking an entire quarter of the inch thick acrylic panel with it

Attached: 1551010218504.jpg (771x886, 138K)

>find a hole in the wall local arcade
>has a decent selection of rhythm games
>wonder why they aren't more popular
>go there on a Friday night
>greeted by fat nigger families with their retarded nigger kids destroying every machine they can get their hands on
>niggers also put credits in the ID8 cabs to race each other
>as soon as they see non-english language they chimp out
>literally have never seen a group of them manage to race together despite the menu clearly saying "1V1" to the right
Ah I get it now. Normal people got scared away by the terrible weekend crowd. This is why arcades died in the West.

I'm seven foot one, 300lbs and I have agoraphobia so there's no way I'll ever play one. Round 1 was the first arcade I've been to that had rhythm games and I only tried Groove Coaster. I want to try the other machines next time I go. I've always played rhythm games on consoles like DJ Max.
But that sucks about the situation your in, user.

>tfw the mall in my small city is finally fucking getting a round 1
I've been waiting for a round one for so so fucking long at this point, i want to play iidx and sdvx on cabs so baaad

GITADORABROS, ww@?!
>gf or dm?
>current score?
>favorite chart in the game?

Attached: 40998DBC-7C08-4A9D-A80B-C25D3A47C274.jpg (600x476, 128K)

I saw enough of that bullshit at Main Event. Fucking animals.

Attached: 1498992974374.jpg (720x706, 66K)

Does round 1 fighting game cabinets have netplay with other round 1s? I dont want to go in for bbcf only to play arcade mode alone. I have pc version at home for that

Which Round 1 is this? I'll drive a long way to play a Tekken 7 machine.

I don't remember the hodink city name but it's right outside of Seattle.

Post 'em, Yea Forums.

Attached: 20190518_230334.jpg (2632x1906, 2.9M)

My wife has a Nesica card.

where the FUCK do you get an aime card?

id post a pic if i wasnt blocked from posting images on mobile

I still have one of the bootleg "konmai" ones for programmed world laying around somewhere

Southcenter? I live an hour away from seattle. Fuck it, I'm going tomorrow.

Pastel-kun is actually NESiCA

Attached: E3CBD6D8-683B-4000-880C-48C68AD34FD7.jpg (2392x1536, 799K)

lol i know the feeling, not being able to go to an arcade because of a breakup...fugg

Do they just upgrade your card whenever you get a $100 refill too? It feels like they have to know that the stamps wipe off after like 2 visits.

I can't actually get one of these at my round 1, or rather, they said their shit isnt hooked to the internet so even if i got one it wouldnt work. Fuckers

>initial d
>anything past ver3

>you cant MGS everything in sight
>tire M A N A G E M E N T system

it's been dead

have you tried getting platinum times in IDAS8?
How far will MGS get you there? They changed the game in 8.
It's on teknoparrot now, try it.

there are no arcades as good as the ones in japan. hell i'd move there only for the arcades

Some guy just gave no fucks one day and gave me the 10 stamps needed for Gold.

I actually went last night and my Sound Voltex machine was updated. Didn't know how to navigate for shit. Can someone who reads moonrunes help a nigga out?

I’m not sure what the new policy is since it changed in April, but it’s not a big deal anymore to worry about having get stamps.

The good news is that Basic,Silver,Gold, or Platinum status doesn’t matter anymore unless you want to do time play.

Always, always,ALWAYS refill your cards in $100 increments now. With the recent pricing restructuring, a $100 charge makes all rhythm games (and fgc cabs too) ~$0.80 a game

Weird this thread popped up right when I find out they're building one of these in the mall here. The Namco Arcade Museum closed down 7 years ago and I've been without an arcade machine in a 20 mile radius since. Are those actually good or should I only take my cousin there to go bowling?

Don't worry, none give out aime cards anyway. ONLY reason I have mine is it was a pre-order bonus for Project Diva X in Japan, and I imported it.

Yeah I always go $100. I go weekly so it just makes sense for me to do so.

You could read the thread, ya know.

The answer is yes. They're worth going to.

Literally all the important shit is in English.

nearest round 1 is all the way in concord and fuck driving 2 hours to go and play something I could emulate

This might just be my local Round 1, but they cut out the savings crap real soon, like within half a year of their grand opening.
Like, typically if you buy points in larger amounts, you get a better rate for them, right?
Well, my round1 doesn't do that. it's 25 cents per point no matter how many you buy at once. The machines even still have the higher tiers listed as "GREAT VALUE" when it's the same rate.
I was just there at the end of April, they're still doin it like that.
It's fucking retarded for them to do that IMO, because they aren't incentivizing people to overbuy points. I just imagine they might think they are increasing revenue with this, but they'd make more money from people bumping up their buy-in. Not everybody is gonna spend all those points.

do they still have miku cabinets at round 1s?

Wizard of Oz was all about how fucking boring Kansas is to the point that a girl went looney and deluded herself enough to imagine she was transported to a land of make-believe

Yes.

Attached: mikuplayhistory.png (255x639, 25K)

good. my round1 has magicians dead AND gunslinger stratos and nobody plays them. I'm not the biggest fan of SFV but I'll play it a hell of a lot more than either of the other two

I'm jelly, there are no project diva cabs in all of leafland as far as I know

Which R1 is it?

The pricing has to be the same everywhere. It’s a corporate rule.

But it only applies to R1 member card holders. Normies get the normal rate that you’re talking about. But card holders that pay $5 a year for it reap the benefits of the bonus credits with every $10+ reload.

You aren’t a normie, are you user?

speaking of Square Enix games, what's even the fucking point of using your Nesica card on Theatrhythm? It literally locks difficulty modes behind bs requirements if you tap it, whereas if you don't you get all difficulties available from the word go.

is the gun for SS Bone Eater extremely heavy or is it just me? Is it to simulate the weight of a real rifle?

>1 miss in middle of song
>impossible to SS now
>mfw

t. 7200 skill in guitarfreaks

Attached: 1549150288805.jpg (1280x720, 77K)

I plan to bring my fightstick for the SFV cab to establish dominance, since it has a fucking USB port for that shit.

They had the scaling rates at the beginning.
I got the black member card and it was a waste because fucking stamps rubbed off in my pocket instantly, and they would only give 1 stamp per purchase whether it was $15 or $100, and back then $100 was the better rate and I sure as hell wasn't gonna pay $5000 dollars for 50 stamps that I can't even keep on the card for an hour of use.

any word if BBTAG coming? I know it's getting playtests in japan and I'm going to guess it'll be on Nesica2 machines. I'm trying to uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh escape from crossing fate

Attached: 1539230072073.gif (340x340, 3.9M)

What time? I was planning on going tomorrow anyway and I'd like to play some real people on a machine.

but I'mma suck because I play on hitbox mostly

>tfw there are always some smelly niggers camped 24/7 at the Sound Voltex machines

Attached: 1554434004568.png (525x394, 331K)

All we know is Nesica 2 soon. I'd imagine BBTAG will be there though, since CF/CPE/P4A are on the current cabs.

>Mechanic finally fixes Groovecoaster machines
>Drunks keep bashing the buttons and two fo them are fucking unplayable now
Least they're time play now. That 5 credits for two songs was massive bullshit.

Attached: 1557108958292.jpg (992x534, 267K)

think i fucked up with my NESiCA card
i got the card to play SNK Heroines with it, and the "NO NAME" tag popped up when i scanned my card
when i registered, it asked me to put in the name i used when registered my card, but since SNK Heroines automatically marked me with the no name tag, i couldn't register my card
thought i could play groove coaster to register a name to the card, but no luck
so far the only games i've played with my card were groove coaster and SNK Heroines, with Heroines being the first
what gives?

Attached: 1549127648359.jpg (805x1024, 222K)

I've been waiting for my arcade to get DDRA20. I know socal has been getting a bunch, if I don't get a cab soon I'm going to kill myself. I just want to PFC Neverland

Anyone ITT actually sing karaoke in there? Is it all moonrunes? I want to go there next week and find Bakamitai.

Attached: maxresdefault (1).jpg (1280x720, 222K)

more importantly than having p4A, they have p4U. I'll walk by the cabs and switch the game setting to ultimax just so other people can check out the sick ass attract mode. If people jump on, that's when I strike

Attached: 1345951478785.gif (352x197, 740K)

I'm trying to register my shit too, but fucking BBCF put "BB Player" as my name so I have the same issue. It's annoying.

it uses healsonic karaoke. it has an app that you can check the catalog with. It doesn't have weebshit, but it does have sicko mode

You just gave me a reason to try their karaoke next time.

This is me with BBCF. Lord help them if I see someone playing BBCF, they're credit is 'bout to disappear into the Azure.

>No Round1s or equivalent in the UK
>best option for Arcades is going to London for Las Vegas Soho/Heart of Gaming

Attached: 4.jpg (376x473, 258K)

There is definitely a Round 1 equivalent in the UK. I forget the name, but I have some bong friends that go to it.

Is it a chain or just a single place?

Sorry, I honestly don't have the slightest of clues.

It's a chain. It's actually a Japanese chain, but the Japanese ones are totally different from ours. Over here it's just like a Dave and Busters with Japanese games, but in Japan I believe they're arcades where you pay hourly.

>mfw the only fag playing Guilty Gear AC the two times I was there
Haven't been my local one in a year (Royal Oaks, Michigan), have they added GG XRD at all yet?

What do you n*gs think of House of the Dead Scarlett Dawn?

I love the sensory experience but the game is balla hard.

I hit Maximum Tune 5, Sound Voltex, Time Crisis 5 and Scarlett Dawn in an average trip.

Nope. The only standalone fighting cabs they have are either old or Tekken 7 (basegame, no updates)

Well, I suppose SFV now too.

That is really fucking gay and you just killed my hype. Fuck you

Thanks Round 1 marketers. I've decided to make the 1 hour trip to play your arcade games this month.

My usual rotation is Pop'N, Project Diva, Sound Voltex, Groove Coaster, and then either Theatrhythm or something on the Nesica cabs.

I really ought to play more of the non-rhythm games they have.

Yeah when are we getting exvs 2 cabinets???

I wish I got payed to market them, man. I want more people to play rhythm games there so they get more cabs.

name?

I think it either must not be made by SEGA in-house, or they've desperately lost touch.
The moment the game was on COMPLETE HOLD waiting for player 2 to free me from a zombie destroying MY health with nothing i could do was the moment I knew I didn't want to give it another swipe.
Game has no ambition to it. Shitty design, shitty graphics, it's clearly a skinnerbox sideshow project, not something I can admire even as much as the passable HotD4.

a shit ton just opened up mostly in california and westcoast folk would be the only ones awake at this hour. Arcades are vidya.
>mfw I used to drive an hour to the nearest r1 and now one opened up in my town

Attached: 1478973539026.jpg (414x479, 43K)

Arcades that use cards are soulless.
Arcades that use quarters have SOUL.
Don't @me gaybois

and then user was raped

Never mind I'm fucking retarded and thought we were talking about Round 1
Ignore me I suck cocks

We're rhythm+fighting games players, not savages. Though we may or may not be gorillas

Is that the extremely new one with blue lighting all over? That shit was blowing my mind. Honestly the best fucking arcade shooter I've ever played.

There's only a few arcades that let you use actual quarters anymore.

I literally pay for everything with my phone these days. Physical money is outdated, old man.

but i live in a beaner magnet in california and it has a round 1

And I only hang out at those. I'm not lame.

Here's mine.

>a thread about video games
>where Yea Forums actually talks about playing video games

what is this sorcery

Arcade bowling alleys has always been a thing. They have these at or near malls everywhere.

Its not like the 90s but its more of a social event to go to do stuff with friends like the movies or something.

also, how do you get the tekken 7 cabinets to play with each other? i sit and wait there, but even if i wait for my friend to join, we both get thrown into arcade mode

Attached: 1556678003650.jpg (750x750, 181K)

WHERE THE FUCK IS IT IN FLORIDA??

House of the Dead 3 had those sequences too. I didnt mind it.

I've only played it 3 times so I dont have a good feel for it yet. It doesn't seem very fair though.

Use their website for locations you retard

you've already got dave and busters

I literally just got back from the Southcenter Mall round1

I played GrooveCoaster for 4 hours

how do your palms feel

The SFV in puente hills where off

They always open locations in absolute garbage locations, I don't understand

really really fucking weird

but worth it.

also
>tfw the asian girl next to me kicks my ass every fucking time I play

Late night threads are the best, user.
You should see those threads when anons have been playing the same fighting game for two years now.

Where is wangan midnight maximum tune 6

cheaper rent, I'd imagine

One day they'll open a location in a major city that isn't Commiefornia.
Hope I live that long

I don't remember it in hotd3, but it would have at least made sense for it to just be a "pass or fail" one hit. But instead the whole game is stuck there while I keep getting hit because of the shithead I allowed to be my partner. The game was on hold until I was down to 1 health remaining and that dumbass finally stopped failing. I basically lost 2 fucking dollars.

Rhythm games are the only thing that keeps me playing vidya

Round1 is the only place that has decent rhythm arcade games

almost played it but the Card Scanner was out of order

Damn that sucks.

Nooooo!!

Arcades are dead!
Just like PC!
Just like Nintendo!

Stoooopppp!!!

I just got all the cards that don't have my name on it and a blockbuster card for whatever

If we're counting Initial D cards, I have at least 12 in my wallet for whatever reason, only 1 Infinity Stage though

again I'm gonnna go pass out now

>don't wanna haul ass and waste gas in shitty traffic just to play my FF3 tunes
I should get a card to record my music records at the very least.

I would try the karaoke at one of these with friends but I don't listen to music

read It's not actually worth it for Theatrhythm alone.

Well that's some horseshit.

Exactly. If you're getting a Nesica card, get it for Groove Coaster or something.

>The only non busted shooters are the garbage Raw Thrills games
Thank you New Mexico for being the worst fucking state

Attached: askyourmom.png (410x453, 208K)

Being able to play UNI and BBTAG in arcade will be fun times for sure.

Is UNI Nesica? It's not on the wikipedia list.

Is Raw Thrills seriously the only arcade company left in America?

wait i'm sorry, do bana passport cards work for max tune? I legit only thought they worked with project diva. our max tune cabs have a dispenser that is always empty. I've never actually seen the card to know what it looked like

I've gone to the silver city galleria's round one a few times, good place

Go to the front counter and ask for a Ban Nam passport

And yes they work fine

When it comes to video game cabinets, maybe.
There's probably plenty of competition in the ticket games and coin-pushers, if you count that.
And there's serveral pinball manufacturers still, but they might as well not exist because arcades don't touch that shit. They pretty much just make tables for wealthy manbabies.

hell yeah. I love r1 threads

Do bana even work with diva? I had an aime from years back anyway so I never bothered to get a bana.

Yep they work

neat

>get in touch with a guy selling a diva cab modded to work offline
>when I finally have the cash to buy it he stops responding to my messages
Ahhhhahaha I'm going to kill myself

>Also they recently sync the cards from location so Punta Hill Lakewood and Santa Ana all sync now.
Fuck, really? Santa Ana is my nearby one, but I never go to it because all my shit is at Puente Hills.

>oversimplified shit SFEX sequel
>fucking DDR
>rhythm masturbation games
>"arcades aren't dead lel"
The only good arcade is one with old, quality games from the 80s and 90s with a solid wall of quality pinball games from the same era.

Just get a arcade style controller for PS4

Have it, not good enough. I want the whole setup. One day it'll happen

>you'll never own a Groove Coaster controller for the piece of shit PC Port and git gud

Come to Vegas. Arcades everywhere

I thought it was based on the fact that they've got the licenses for most other niche anime fighting games. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Bought one from a chink on YouTube. Its okay. Nothing like the arcade though, I barely use it because it just makes me want to stop and go to the arcade

Attached: unknown-1.png (1318x869, 1.45M)

PC version is actually optimized for the fucking steam controller

Old pinball tables can be expensive to own and difficult to maintain.
Especially the 90s tables, being the hottest and most desirable tables. People who have them usually don't want to let the public wear them out. It's a blessing to find a place that keeps tables like that nice and available to the public.
There's a nice pinball spot in Brooklyn called "Sunshine Laundromat" They have a large selection of 80s, 90s, and modern tables.
Went there last year, got to play medieval madness, arabian nights, Diner, Funhouse, ST:TNG. They had plenty more than just those too.

big citys already have alot of shit to do. Arcades seem like a waste of time when you can be eating good ass food and getting shitfaced in a club. I lived in san diego before i had to go to college more inland(because fuck trying to get into ucsd) and the only arcade i saw was a mom and pop one. Shit closed down because people would rather loose brain cells in a dive bar in down town san diego or little italy. feels bad man

Attached: 1557151107145.jpg (326x316, 12K)

Yeah I usually go to lakewood and punta hills and all my credits were sync now i have at least 1000 credis on my card

Fuck yes. Nothing gets me more fully erect than a fucking place that actually has good pinball tables.

Does it feel good to play?

Nah San Diego FGC/RGC scene is just dead. LA is actually active af. t. grew up in Carlsbad

Haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I think it would work well.

Why does LA Have everything? It feels like i live there part time, despite living in a shit hole like moreno valley
carlsbad is pretty comfy. Most of the bay area is. I only hope my current major is good enough to move back

Attached: 1539414540656.jpg (540x466, 31K)

For 1 week we had a Dead or Alive 2 cab. It was fucking weird. Where did it come from? Where did it go? Nothing was in that space for a year before and here it is months later and it's still empty. It clashed horribly with the Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V cabs in the row.

It's a mystery. I want to know. Its autism.

recently moved from LA to bumfuck central valley and i wanna kill myself seeing this thread

LA is port of entry from the east, so lots of companies from Japan start their western expansions here. There are Uniqlo all over the fucking place here, for example.

>tfw can't sub 2'52"000 C1 Inward

USA Round1 gets a lot of Japanese location scraps, maybe they just got it extra with a shipment?

Halo Fireteam Raven is pretty decent, it's surprisingly fair for a Raw Thrills machine because any chair not taken up by a player is NPC operated so attacks meant for those lanes don't redirect to you like most other Raw Thrill games.

>moving to the central valley
Lmao@urlyfe bro living in some shit hole town in the inland empire is better than moving to the purgatory that is the central valley

I live in Gardena, and my search for DDR cabnets don't need to go far beyond a 15-20 trip by car, Including D&B's in Del Amo and Culver City and especially the Lakewood Center Round 1.

DONT TALK SHIT ON SANTA ANA CABRON

Half this thread are californians

Since this thread seems to be filled with califags...

We can all agree del taco is better than taco bell, right?
We call all agree that farmers boys and bakers is kino while in and out is overated by in-bred out of state fags, right?

Been playing pretty much all the rhythm games, hoping WACCA turns out good. And Dance Rush is the greatest dance game ever made, prove me wrong.

most of the people here have never set foot in an arcade so they don't know how to bait us

and the other half are texans

East Coastbro, just here because this is a comfy thread. Very jealous of you West Coasters and your R1s

CA born and raised. I actually like In-N-Out fries.

nigga you live orange county. I can talk as much shit to you as i please. Go ching chong ding yourself to closest asian enclave

Attached: 1509651911613.png (588x342, 335K)

My eAmusement pass has seen some wear from the two years I've had it, but it's still going strong and it makes DDR an experience that you want to try in every arcade visit.
My BaNa passport is fairly new, got it in my recent D&B trip. Fairly good, let's me make career progress in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5, though I still need to activate it.

Attached: 20190519_013605.jpg (4032x1960, 1.9M)

nigga we're all advanced level weebs in this thread, don't diss Asian food like that

I just spent my birthday there with some friends. Played Initial D, Mario Kart, House of The Dead. Mine had no SNK games at all

How come I'm seeing experiences with D&B not ending in terrible disaster? You mean all your local D&Bs weren't trashed by fat niggers and mexicans the first weekend they opened? And the manager that never bothered to fix the cool machines or get new ones because the gay ticket machines or fucking Halo machine brings in mad dosh, does he not exist? Fucking bizarro thread

got it from a trip to vietnam in dec. 2016
pet dog chewed it once and you can see where the damage was
i only have like 4 cars yet i only use an MR2 for C1 Inward TA and a stock Hiace Wagon Hi-Lift for racing guest players
i wish the US HotD: SD cabinets have sega's aime cards available to use desu

yeah lol

Probably because we're mostly talking about Round1 and not DnB

>Pretty Fair
Brew it has unavoidable its. Health is a rough timer like all Raw Shills trash.

>mfw no Round 1s near me until fucking 2020 at best
>NJ so it'll either die or be destroyed by children

Attached: 1549514810774m.jpg (1024x576, 46K)

Do the cabs just not have the aime ports, or is it just not compatible with Bana so it's nigh impossible to use in the west?

Maybe it was because I was sitting in with 3 players but I didn't need to continue more than twice and the stuff that hit the character to the left of me didn't take a bite of my health on top of what I also got hit with. I almost made it to the end of HotD Scarlet Dawn in 3 continues too (Died at Stage 4 to the kraken).
Maybe it's just my D&B having it on easy mode or something?

>tfw a round1 is finally coming to my state
>but it's in the deadest mall in the area
I mean, I'll take it, I just hope they're able to do well there.

Attached: 1467013318031.png (580x634, 436K)

My local D&B is still fairly new, it didn't have too much crazy stuff but it had the good version of the Halo machine, the gigantic one with the four chairs and two 4K TVs, my only issue was that it seemed like the code scanner wasn't installed despite the border around it being lit green, it looked empty inside.

I'd hardly call it an NJ location. Who the FUCK has even heard of deptford? R1 continuing their grand tradition of opening in the bum-fuckest of nowheresville

It's bullshit, NY gets a location, PA gets TWO and NJ's is probably an hour and a half away from where I live even when it is done. I do hope we get FGO Arcade though at least. I got an Aime card with Da Vinci Rider on it from when a friend went to Japan.

they don't have the aime ports so you can't use aime cards on their cabinet
so that means no save data, no bonus life as a weapon choice, no master mode, no online ranking, etc.
it's honestly a big letdown when i first saw that at both dave and buster's and round 1

>losing to the kraken
lmao

NY's locations are also in the middle of nowhere - upstate NY fucking sucks. Why can't they just open one on the east coast where people actually live?

Philly nigger (joking about the nigger part) here. I will make good use of the Deptford location.

Oklahoma, right?
Count your lucky stars, user. Not even niggers go to Quail Springs any more, so there's a next to 0 chance the games will get destroyed. The only reason Quail Springs hasn't shut down is because the theatre's there and still pretty decent.

I wish the games told you what difficulty it was. Mine could be cranked. I remember Time Crisis 5 was kicking my ass and then one day a rolled up and 1cc'd the game. Definitely lowered difficulty.

Post songs you play when showing off to normalfags

youtube.com/watch?v=g9hPR3SJWHc

I'm happy that someone here will enjoy it but why can't it be me reeeeee

I tried my best the fucker had like six points I needed to break in about 7 seconds near the end and I was alone.

Don't you already have enough Round 1s close to you? Why the fuck couldn't this one be put in central NJ instead of bumfuck nowhere on the border between states?

youtu.be/I16DlneFCeU
The best part is how fucking LOUD the Pop'n speakers are.

youtu.be/fEqerhH5ifM

The nearest one is in a shitty little town 45 minutes away. It's much faster to go to Deptford.

>45 minutes away
Motherfucker the closest arcade with any new shit is a Dave and Busters about an hour and 20 minutes away from me, don't bitch about 45 minutes to me.

Play Sayonara Heaven

But im mexican

Aaaaa you mad white boi?

*laughs in Round1 10 minutes away and 3 within an hour drive from me*

I'm always mad, user. For various reasons, you shouldn't bitch about a 45 minute drive either way.

Bet none of y'all's Round1s have this

Attached: IMG_20190422_140656.jpg (539x959, 107K)

mine don’t even have any initial d machines what the fuck

You're missing out

Attached: IMG_20190422_140652.jpg (4608x2592, 1.73M)

>Live in PA
>Equidistant from all of the Round 1's so no matter what state I go to it'll be an hour and a half drive

Please tell me this is somewhere in MA or at least on the east coast

>good R1
>on the east coast
Hahahahahahahaha

>tfw one within 10 minutes from me
I'd go more often if I had money to spend. Or friends to go with.

It's Heart of Gaming in London

Why would you ever go to Round 1 or any arcade unless you're poor as fuck?

Doubt anyone else here has played one of these.

Attached: pssizxvfdktz.jpg (750x1334, 96K)

Can anyone tell me what the fuck those Wizard of Oz cards are for? I see them and don't get it? I hear Toto is rare because he is mostly featured there.

Las Vegas Arcade Soho has one

Attached: IMG_20180316_144902.jpg (719x959, 147K)

Get them all and they're worth a bunch of tickets. I work for a different arcade chain and we get fuckers buying generic cards on ebay and trying to claim them for tickets but most places have the cards custom printed with logos nowadays.

>18+ difficulty
What the fuck is this powercreep, I can barely handle 15s

You must be new to rhythm games. At the high level the difference one level makes is fucking massive.

Oh no I've been playing SDVX for a while, and I'm well familiar with a bonkers shit that happens in the higher levels; I was more commenting on the fact that Heavenly Haven seems to have raised the level cap. Might just be forgetting things since I haven't had much chance to play on the actual cabs, but I don't remember older versions reaching as high as lv20.

youtu.be/8p0niwsfHDg

Every time

They recently opened a round1 near me and I have a bunch of credit on cards from the Chicago and Atlanta locations (even brought their membership card or whatever at the Chicago location). Is there a way to transfer the credit so it works with the location that opened near me?

What time? I'm the roommate of the dude you were replying to and we're going tomorrow as well apparently.
