Nothing personal, kid

imagine caring about achievements

Sorry for not being autistic enough to care about some online imaginary achievements

>giving a fuck about achievements or trophies

Why? If the game is shit, I'm not going to 100% it. If the game is great, no amount of rewards would keep me from completing it.

Anyone who ever got caught up in this is a grade-A nolife retarded faggot.

How can you not? I started in 2006 so it's hard to just throw my hands up.

look bro I'm autistic but im not that autistic

There's nothing out there for me. Achievements are something to aim for in video games.

Hey man, I get it. I connect with your despair on a spiritual level.

But you're still a massive faggot if you think chievos are worth shit.

Stay safe, bro.

I was originally really excited for achievements because it sounded like an easy to access list of game progress/completion.

But it turned out not to be that at all. Playing 100 multiplayer matches, harassing your friends list with challenges, catching dev aids, killing x amount of enemies with x weapon, and absolutely anything else takes precedent. Most games dont even have an achievement for finishing hard mode or even the game at all.

I dont play any modern games because I cant be bothered with this.

>tfw only go for trophies if you REALLY like the game unless they're so piss easy that it's no real trouble bothering with them

>get addicted to achievements/trophies when I got my Xbox 360 back in 2007
>took a couple of years for the magic/addiction to wear off and now I'm back to just enjoying vidya without worry about achievements.

Bullshit multiplayer and overly grindy achievements were the breaking point where I stopped and questioned why I was subjecting myself to that trash all for a stupid icon/useless points.

I feel bad for the people who feel the need to try and 100% every game they own.

I think the only platinum i ever got was for Spiderman but the requirement for that is basically finish the fucking game which i guess people now can't even be bothered to.

Achievement haters are literally insecure shitters. It's fine you ignore them but i find the true haters are just ashamed it shows how casual they are. Achievement whores have another mental illness

I 100%d basically every game back in the day. It wasnt hard to do. You had some main stuff some aside stuff and an "extra hard" that unlocked and that was pretty much it.

Now every game just comes packaged with a tedious to do list.

>tetris effect trophies
I fucking don't understand how one trophy denies me my Platinum. Spin blocks one million fucking times is the stupidest shit I've ever heard. Done with everything but that and I have to spin blocks 700,000 times to get it.

What? Do you have a literal peanut for a brain? Imagine being so neurotic that you JUST HAVE TO GET ALL THE ACHIEVEMENTS!!!!!! in order to enjoy a videogame. Sad!

Steam hours have ruined vidya for me more than anything. It indicates how long I've been playing a shit game for and makes quitting it more easier.
>Man, I've been playing this shit for HOW LONG? Fuck this, I quit.
The thing I miss about my PS4 is not knowing how many hours I played on games I loved and hated. I played DCUO and Smite for over a combined 2000 fucking hours and didn't even realize it. I really wish Steam would do away with them or at least allow me to private them from all including myself. Achievements mean nothing on Steam thanks to SAM and on console they were just meme talking points that don't affect the game experience.

What games actually had good, compelling achievement lists? I'll vouch for Firefly Diary personally, like 90% of its trophies are either off the beaten path discoveries or "do this thing in the most optimal/conclusive way", it kinda feels like a legitimate challenge mode.

I used to 100% memory cards and sjit before achievements existed. To cry about something that can be turned off and that just adds replay value is retarded. I just go for the ones in games i really like and want to play. Finishing shit games seems painful as fuck.

Vesperia reminded me why i don't even bother anymore, how do you even figure this shit out without a guide?

You misspelled enhances

Is that the little jerk who eats that sub?

Some trophies are really fun challenges to go for and others sometimes persuade you to play the game differently from how you normally would and explore everything it has to offer.
I don't go for Platinum's though. Either the trophies are too frustrating or you need an online guide to get them, and at that point why waste hours of your life for a little checkmark on a screen?

>caring about this autistic shit

Must feel terrible.
