Is it even worth getting one these days due to emulation covering most games?

Is it even worth getting one these days due to emulation covering most games?

Same question for a Wii and Xbox 360.

A friend of mine is selling each of these to me for $10 each.

PS2 emulation is dogshit.

Yes take all 3.

>$30 total
>has to ask if it's worth it
>being poor
LMAO'ing @ your life.

Not OP but what's the best way of using a PS2 on modern TVs? I can't get find a CTR, so I was thinking on either component cables or HDMI convertors. Which one looks better?

Component cables or an original fat PS3. Also PS2 looks like shit 90% of the time.

Yes because I have a good PC user. Now stop being a bully Hitler.

Is the best version of silent Hill on PS2? I just realized most of the games I want have remasters.

Pc version of the original SH2 is reasonably good enough. The remaster is horrible, one of the worst remakes in the history of vidya

>the remaster is a bad remake

No shit considering it's a remaster?

Thanks user.

they lost a lot of assets, look into it. Appears pretty bleak

A remake is one goal and a remaster is another goal. If something is a bad remake because it's a remaster that is a separate goal entirely.

Yes, though it depends on the game you want to play. Jak and Ratchet games are very difficult in PCSX2, but any other common game will probably be fine.

Oh shut up you pedantic moron

Lurk more retarded faggot.

Like what are some top games that have trouble running on dolphin or pcsx2?

I was thinking about getting the Xbox 360 but I can't seem to find a good exclusive for it.

For that cheap you might as well. Worst case scenario they make for a cool door stopper

Xbox 360? It depends on what you value. If you're the kind of person to value physical copies of games for years to come, a 360 will be valubale for game like Bioshock and Metal Gear Rising. Anything on "Video Game Rankings" that doesn't have a physical release or a proper PC port.

Because people cant use precise wording we never know what the fuck a game is so now we have journalists say dumb shit like "Resident Evil 2 Remake isnt actually a remake it's a new game" which is what a fucking remake is.

Oh well

Words have different meanings in different times.

I'd say go for PS2 and Wii.
Xbox 360 is cool but modern consoles can give you the same AAA experience.

But what I'm asking is why when I could emulate the good games at better res? What ps2 or Wii games are unemulatable?

Just do it fag, having hardware is cool.

Im a zoomer and prefer digital media.

You have to find out for yourself.
It's usually a nostalgia odyssey for the rest of us, discovering which of our childhood games don't work on emulators.

>I'm a zoomer
Better put a knife through your vitals before society collapses in your 30s and the death gangs come to do unspeakable things to you.

PS2 emulation isn't perfect, infact it's pretty shit. Playing on actual PS2 hardware will always be the best possible choice and also PS2 is dirt cheap so unless you're a disgusting poorfag, you really don't have an excuse. Buy a PS2 already, you fucking idiot.

buy em all butthole

Why is it still shit and what games are worth playing on PS2 that don't have remasters or better versions on other consoles.

I got a fat ps2 with a 1tb drive, and over 100 games.
Most video games now suck, there's nothing that couldnt be done on ps2, it would just look worse.

Where did you get a working 1tb PATA drive?
