All changed almost nothing about their games except the graphics and by adding whatever extra content the game had gotten after release. That is why they are called remasters and not remakes. They are more like ports than new games

remaster = enhance graphics/other things
remake = completely rebuild the game from the ground up with brand new mechanics and gameplay

It's an HD texture pack and enhancement suite for the base game which remains mostly unchanged. It's not a remake.
