Nintendo Power fixing the 1992 Player's Choice Awards to give NES GotY to RC Pro-Am 2 over Mega Man 5. That game had art from NP's own illustrator in it, that's just how far up Rare's ass they were at that point. They also took a moment to point out Link's Awakening swept all the categories it was up for, which would ALSO have been true of MM5 if they hadn't fixed the big trophy.
26 years later and it still tastes like horseshit. I've never seen anyone even bring up RC Pro-Am 2 in conversation before or since.

Not only is ORAS garbage for many reasons the review entirely ignored, but the water routes are actually a good thing because it's a change of pace from "linear land/grass route #75".
I'd say 7.8/10 is a good rating for ORAS considering it's a shit remake, but for entirely reasons from that IGN review that is extremely ignorant and basic.
