We finally have the technology for a VR MMO

the globalist ran video game industry in the US is holding back tons of technology. They want us all to play shitty games on shitty engines with tons of loot boxes and season passes. Wake the fuck up

You're delusional.

>we finally have the technology for a good VR game
>only one developer makes one

No we don't.

Well said, go- I mean guys

The reason it doesn't exist is that it wouldn't make nearly enough money to cover the costs of creating the game.

Orbus VR, though it's pretty basic graphically.

Elite:Dangerous is pretty good.

>make the type of game that requires more man hours, budget, and ongoing maintenance than any other for the smallest niche of an audience
only a complete retard would try to make one today, and complete retards don't often have those kinds of resources. maybe in 15 years it might be considered worth the risk by one of the more adventurous devs

This, VR devs can barely muster the resources to make A quality games, let alone AAA right now.

sup shlomo?

It would unironically need a timer so people couldn't play it for more than 2-3 hours a day, or else it'd be even more destructive than WoW. Except people will just use alts and VPNs. It's probably just a matter of time though.
Not a real MMO, just a (pretty good) multiplayer game. MMO unfortunately means WoW-like game centered around player retention and harvesting players' energy and well-being and sacrificing them at the altar of money no matter the cost.

I can use a VR headset for 5-6 hours and feel just fine but I guess most people can't, so making a full blown MMO where you grind shi and raid for hourst would be hard to pull off.
Theres OrbusVR like said but the reviews are keeping me from buying it

>MMO unfortunately means WoW-like game
That's MMORPG. Say that specifically if you want one. Shorthand only works in context which the OP didn't provide.

VR devs can barely make a game instead of tech demos, no less an A game

No we dont
fucking wow, a 15 year old mmo still shits the bed when more than 40 people are on the screen
there is no hope for vr mmo to not make you puke your guts out

Gen 9 will make it the new gimmick since graphics have plateaued they can't meme 8k hdr shit anymore so it's gonna be vr and Ray tracing
This
Lame it's much too small in scale

Isn't star citizen doing this? Shame it looks boring to a actually play

this user is absolutely right

I'd want a "GOOD" one, and people don't even know how to make one of those anymore, let alone in VR.
