there isn't a game like that

Mobile games

And having it too dark to see anything would be an added bonus.

any online strategy game where can I win with a meme unit coupled with intense micro/planning in order to make the opponent ragequit?

There are examples of cavalry being in front of the main infantry, both in medieval Europe and some examples from ancient Persia. Because cavalry were typically men of upper classes who could train in warfare regularly and thus reliable, while the infantry were conscripts who were farmers regularly and were not good fighters or reliable soldiers

I fucking love this board.

to answer your question, any total war and any XCOM, total warhammer does it the best though because skaven exist for you to waste your time with retarded strategies.

Attached: The Dignity Of The Retarded.jpg (410x308, 34K)

That was only viable if you had heavy cavalry and the enemy didn't have pikes.
Even still if you have a castle there's no reason not to use your cavalry to flank while the enemy is distracted with the defense of the walls.

>Starcraft II, the zergs
>DoW (1,2,3) Imperial Guard/Orks
>TW:WH2, the skaven

That's not the worst problem though.
Why would you put siege in front of infantry? Why not fill the castle walls to the brim with soldiers?

I don't see a problem here, you're at the pop cap and need to get rid of some units, and besides you're just going to use the dracarys cheat code anyway. Plus you're on regicide mode and the enemy king is about to walk straight into your base.

My biggest problem with the episode was the feeling of plot armor. It looks like all the Dothraki die, but then they later reveal only half of them died. Really? I saw maybe 10 of them come back from that initial assault, and all the fires were extinguished.
By the end, it looks like there's literally no one left except the main characters and maybe a few random soldiers. Then it turns out somehow half of the unsullied and northern men/knights of the vale are also left.
So they tried to figure out how many men to give her for the battle of King's Landing, and basically said "eh, half of everything sounds fine."
The main characters who were left look like they should have died. They were all surrounded and yet somehow surviving for minutes, where the redshirts all died instantly when they got overwhelmed.

>Why not fill the castle walls to the brim with soldiers
If you read history, you'll see that many times the people in the castle prefer to sally out rather than face an assault. Because if the besiegers have the strength to assault, then your odds are better if you come out and strike at a weak spot of their encircling force rather than letting them swarm your walls and keeping your already meager force divided

Wouldn't the zombies simple siege the castle until the food run out?

What did you do, Anonymous.

SupCom

Completely agree with you. Were the fuck were half the Dothraki and half of the unsullied during the battle. Another point to add to this is that it showed most of the unsullied sacrificing themselves to get everyone into the castle. If you rewatch the episode, they got utterly annihilated world war z styled and yet they barely suffered casualties

Try Rome Total War.

What other games punish you/reward your enemy for throwing your forces away in a failed attack? In SupCom they can reclaim like half the mass you sent at them and turn that into new units.

What kind of defensive line is this?

you only need one unit in that meme game, the general's unit

The line to stop an undead army

Try playing on a difficulty higher than easy with no battle timer.

>the zergs
user, drone rush is not limited to drones despite the name.

>tfw your dream rts never came out and the genre is dead

Sins of a solar empire
You can feed exp to enemy ships and if I remember correctly the advent can convert some of the ships they kill.

Basically any strategy game once you get your economy going and after that it's all about the logistics to make sure you can spam as fast and hard as possible.

There are almost no strategy games that punish obviously bad strategies or constant losses with morale or other mechanics.

Will it be Jon or Arya who does it though? I'm betting on Jon just because Arya has already had her big moment; she'll probably help and end up dying, but I think it will be Jon in the end. Perhaps he could fulfill Azor Ahai by plunging his sword into her chest.

Arya dying and Jon killing Dany would be the best ending the show could get.

aoe2

if you don't know by now, your dumbass should get off of here. You will get it spoiled for you

Jon also has hardly done a goddamn thing this whole season except kill the odd nobody and say "my queen." He needs more shit to do.

I honestly hope they subvert our expectations by having Jon try to kill her, and fail
Then, triggered by this betrayal Dany goes full mad queen, burns all the Starks wiping out their line and rules the kingdoms through fear and dragonfire

>What other games punish you/reward your enemy for throwing your forces away in a failed attack?
Shogun 2, your enemies just bullshit up units that they can't afford or recruit within time, so if you actually lose a stack you're fucked. You have to beat multiple stacks of enemies with your own super stack.

company of heroes and stronghold series

Wargame: AirLand battle can satisfy this need.
>Only tryhards play it
>They always autistically plan out their decks to meet other strong decks
>Stronger units = more costly to deploy
>Make your deck full of shitty, cheap units
>Deploy like a thousand AA units
>Scatter them out in the forest so they're invisible to enemy
>Their fighters will fly into a tornado of bullets and missiles
>Turtle with your millions of shitty reserve troops with old mausers and crappy AT weapons
>Enemy Rangers can only last so long against so many mausers
>Enemy will have something around 20 Abrams to deploy during the game
>You have something around 200 T-34s
It works, and it pisses off autists.

That... doesn't sound "bittersweet," though.
Besides, I think I've had enough of subversion of expectations for now. I can always wait and watch the upcoming D&D/Rian Johnson Star Wars in a few years if I want more of that.

>gets rid of savage indians and dickless niggers
>takes the city with one dragon

How was it a terrible strategy again?

Attached: 1557136383565.jpg (1280x720, 304K)

would open up the possibility for a spinoff set during the mad queen's reign

Dothraki are light cavalry arent they
more like mongols that skirmish and flank instead of charge the center

Correct. Heavy cavalry would be armored and have shields and lances/spears.

Game of Thrones is shit and it was never good

In fire emblem shadow dragon losing units and having a low count of them unlocks extra stages

That was only possible because of the patch that nerfed the ballistae

As an example, the Riders of Rohan from LotR are heavy cavalry.

Attached: maxresdefault[1].jpg (1280x720, 96K)

I hate it when devs just hotfix whatever the casuals complain about rather than give changes some time for people to really explore and adapt to.

>have fortifications
>leave fortifications to defend the fortifications in open field

>Yea Forums claims to be above "normalfag", "mainstream" shit
>We're having non-stop Game of Thrones threads, disguised and not so disguised, since the final season started and all of them easily reaching 500+ posts when they aren't pruned first

What did Yea Forums meant by this?

not trying to play this game with sunglasses on, turn it down a bit.

>charging a wall of flesh that will respawn and not break

>Yes what did this one person Yea Forums, this one person always here mean by this... This one individual. Hmmmmm.....

Attached: 1537429268610.png (776x1146, 922K)

this was one of the main reasons why warcraft 3 had hero units, along with the move to smaller groups of more elite units than starcraft or the earlier warcraft games

>cavalry in front of infantry
this is GOT level of retarded

Attached: 1415253565526.gif (265x257, 1.78M)

On release Skaven in Mortal Empires was the first run I did due to the random roll table here on Yea Forums. It was the best worst experience I have ever had. Two full stack armies barely surviving against anything that came at me with halfway decent unit comp was brutal as fuck. Wood Elves and High Elves were a nightmare, the range on their bows just fucked up anything I sent at them.

The show has been terrible with consistency especially this season. Whether the charge of the Dothraki was stupid or not, them getting btfo and their fires going out was kino, except it loses all its power when oh half of them lived somehow actually.

Total War Rome

A Clash of Kings mod for Warband

That's the joke, user. This is a disguised GOT thread.

i want to discuss strategy and tactical games but Yea Forums is full of homos

I'm trying out 7.1 and want to fight for a faction for once instead of just being a merc. Might join a retinue...

What faction deserves to win the throne? Stannis? Tywin? someone else?

only when playing as something other than rome though, the pila is so fucking stronk its hard to lose a campaign as rome.

I mean, unless you're fighting macedons I suppose.

Attached: ROME HAS CONQUERED.jpg (500x933, 171K)

Man, I hope we'll get a surprise COH3 announcement at E3.

This post made me kek

John kills dany and rejoins the night's watch.

7 minute mutas in sc2. Hit their gatherers. Guaranteed ragequit unless they photon cannon or ling rush you.

Because this episode the ballistas couldn't hit shit when last episode they hit a dragon three times in a row without missing. This whole season is a fucking disaster.

but arya "nothing personnel, kid"'d the night king. why would the nights watch even exist now

That's a great fucking question.

but dnd, what's the purpose of the night's watch now that the wall is broken and there is no great undead threat anymore, just some ramshackle wildlings who WILLINGLY returned to the norf

Shut up, just consume the product and don't think. Make sure you get on social media after the episode to tell everyone how much you liked it!

also when they were doing the parley thing with missandei's death the ends of the scorpions on the wall where you would be standing to aim extended to the edge of the platform so you'd have to be in a pretty precarious position just to maybe aim

Eh. they are more medium cavalry.
Heavy cavalry I believe only applies if both the rider and horse are clad in plate or mail.

I am the man who shitposted Game of Thrones.

Any strategy game can have D&D level tactics if you're braindead enough

Lets mount all the ballistas on the walls where dany won't have to risk hurting civilians to burn them. That way when dany decides to just kill civilians anyway it's even more shocking!

Dumbass.

Cossacks

Dude, what? They are definitely light cavalry. Unarmored horses and riders wearing leather with scythes.

Zero K

Eurons not even a shadow of his book incarnation and he's still the only good part of the show these past two seasons.

well him and the hound.

Attached: Doggered.jpg (960x960, 31K)

He meant the rohirrim

Attached: Worlds End.png (960x772, 815K)

Yup it's real in CM3D2.

Also Bran will be King and Jon will go back to a wall that serves no more purpose.

Fucking Epic.

>Khaleesi will never look at you like this

Oh, did he? My bad, user.

>the hound
is he kill? Is jaime kill? They're the only reason I'm still putting up with this shitfest

This shit didnt move me, even a little.
I have seen so many idiotically fought battles in movies and series that I cant care anymore.
Why is it so hard for jewish producers to understand ancient warfare? What would they lose by doing it correctly? Do they think the heroes would look less heroic if they applied strategy and tactics? Is using the castle walls you built considered dishonorable now?

Have you not watched this most recent episode or what?

We have had the leaks for months and last chapter confirmed them.
Jon kills Dany
Brann is named king
His council is Davos, Sam, Bronn and Tyrion
Sansa rules the north
Jon fucks off to beyond the all with his dog

>jaime
Well fuckitty fuck that's letdown

If you care about getting spoiled you definitely shouldn't be on 4channel until you see it.

I thought that was Zero for a moment

Total War. Those games are really easy once you get the hang of how the AI behaves but if you get careless you can skill end up losing an army that took you forever to build.

RTS games are always more fun when you suck at them or don't care. The most fun I ever have in RTS games is where friends and I set rules where we can't attack for a certain amount of time and we just build megabases only to destroy them after 20 minutes or something. Age of Empires, StarCraft, Company of Heroes specifically.
The least fun I ever had was when I actually got seriously into StarCraft 2 for a few months and was aiming to win. That might have to do with the game itself, it seems that with any Blizzard game, there's only one single way to play it properly. Literally soulless.

>If you care about getting spoiled
I don't, the series writers already took every wrong decision possible so I'll just keep tabs on what happened so far so I can shitpost.

Attached: total war.webm (960x540, 2.93M)

Is three kingdoms gonna be good?

That's one of the reasons why I'm sure that WoW classic will fail: people will go full meta 100% efficiency instead of just having fun.

The most fun was leveling a character for the first time. No one wants to do that now. It pissed me off even back in 2007 when my friend would just buy characters or pay some chinks to powerlevel them. Felt like he missed the point.

No.

Jamie didn’t die and instead stabs dany in the back after she is about to kill Jon then he dies from his wounds then Tyrion walks in and says that he’s now going sober and Jon should be king but Jon refuses so they put Sana’a on the iron throne because she has red hair

Grey Worm kills Jon.
