Are 6 cores the future for video games?
Nope stick with 4
Make each one faster
name games that even take advantage of 6 or more cores
h-hey intel representatives
>must disable hyper-threading to prevent exploits
wew lad. I hope making CPU development progress your hostage for 10 years was totally worthy, Intel. Burn In Hell.
That still sort of depends on how easy console ports are. I would say that variable utilization of 8-16 threads would be the best outcome.
Amada-chan is cute! CUTE!
>A series
Absolutely disgusting
Seems like it, I just upgraded to an i5 9400 and shit runs a lot better than my old 4c4t CPU.
don’t bully her
"are" implies those six specific cores are the future for video games. You want "is", referring to the concept as a whole. ESL retard.
Never trust the longnose
Ashes of the singularity requires you to have a 6+ core cpu if you want to use its bigger maps.
Still that's only one game.
Only an ESL retard would put this much though into something so trivial.
you need 4 for the game and 2 for the twitch stream, loser.

The base PS4 and Xbox one already have 8 cores, as do current gen intel processors. 6 core processors are already the past. Assuming everyone didn't just forget to put a 1 in front of their 6, have you all been living under a fucking rock for the past decade?
Overwatch
The PS3 and Xbox had 8 cores as well, it means jack shit when the processors are utter garbage, the FX chips they use are dumpster fires that are outcompeted by modern Pentiums.
For all intents and purposes 6 cores is the current optimum, 4c is okay but starts to struggle.

8. Zen 3 CPUs go up to16 cores on the mainstream.
IPC improvements don't come quick enough anymore. 7nm Zen 3 cpus have like 15% better IPC compared to previous gen, but 100% more cores at the same power level.
just buy a 1700x, they’re $170 now
