It's another game that could have been 10x better if they just gave it an extra 6 months of work and did work-arounds for a couple engine limitations

It was a complete 180 in terms of what was considered "traditional" Legend of Zelda games. Like the remaster of Link's Awakening on the Switch. Coming from BotW to that is one hell of a change. Which is why it's also getting hate.

Seconded. It's half a great game and half a rush job crammed with filler.

Pretty much all the complaints about the LA remake are about the aesthetic and the fact that it's a reskin instead of an actually new game.
