All you need to do is switch to SE to fix most performance and crashing related issues and install the Unofficial Patch for miscellaneous fixes. Also, make sure you make saves before you install mods in case you get sick of them later, because with how scripting works in Skyrim, it's not a good idea to uninstall mods during your current playthrough unless you want rogue scripts that bloat your saves, slows loading times, lags your game and causes CTDs.

It's pretty streamlined DESU, you just need to start with SKSE/FNIS/SKYUI and then start downloading all the Sexlab shit. The pages on LL typically list the order oh what you need to install too
