for better or worse, the game is so different from its release that I feel like what's the point in even trying to learn it again if it's just gonna keep changing. Like, how can I get comfortable with a team while knowing that at any moment the characters could get completely shuffled?

Well it could be a solution, why not? Throw in some S2 characters for free and put a fresh coat of paint on it. This era of patching has been both a blessing and a curse for fighting games. While things have been improved and balanced, we could never go back to playing the game how it used to be

autocombos are the worst way to do anything in this game, they're only there for normalfags. They do barely any damage and are extremely predictable so anyone who isn't a saibaman (like you two) can easily block/reflect/vanish out of them and punish. They also give next to no meter. If you have issues with auto combos you aren't good enough to complain about the game.

Having autocombos in a game isn't a problem inherently, it's just leveraging its effectiveness in the overall system of the game where it can be a problem. Unist has autocombos that do like 2-2.5k damage

No. I really tried to love this game but I really hate the most used characters and I really dislike the fact it has no push block whatsoever. For what I recall you also couldn't do reflect while having a losing back and down wich made every blockstring a nightmare to find the weak spots. I also ain't gonna get started on all the retarded decisions they made regarding the menus and options the game had and was supposed to have since the start. Also the roster is missing some of the secondary fan favorite characters like roshi/ Hercule and a few other from other sagas.

what makes him an outstanding character in my opinion is his ability to generate meter by himself. Without spending any meter, his standard bnb combo in the corner can generate him 4 meter
other than that, he doesn't really have any good projectiles, just large fast hitboxes with vacuums

There isnt much to do with Beerus orbs, because anything can bypass them, they disappear when Beerus is touched and they wont last long, nor they stun long enough to do anything. The only thing you can do is using them while covered by assists, or in the corner sometimes when knocking down with the 6 orbs thing. Technically you can vanish the opponent back to 6 the orbs, but it is not safe

His qcb+ attack is good to create distractions with assists(more if you dash back or forward) and you can qcb+M into LV3 if you time it right when hitting the floor
