Yes and no. Stands were made to draw super powers easier (e.g. instead of just using sound effect symbols for telekinesis, you literally have a stand go and grab it).

Personas are a whole summonable spirit thing that combines Jung psychology with a recurring trope throughout fiction.

However from 3 onwards, the idea of 1 person having 1 persona that reflects their inner nature is definitely inspired by stands.
