Temp setup for the summer. This year I finally build a fucking gaming PC without hand me down parts.

Am I supposed to be impressed? It's better than the other shit but it's boring. The production has absolutely no catch to it. There's one or two nice little fills in the loop but otherwise it all sounds like FL Studio presets used in the most generic way possible.

I've been using them since 2012 and they're incredibly comfortable. I sometimes forget I am wearing them. Not too great for mixing and mastering though. I get a lot of complaints that my music is too bright and that's me compensating the high ends on my headphones. Otherwise a great investment for games and music.

I feel somewhat bad for being that harsh. I listened to your other stuff and it's not necessarily bad. You just have no identity to your music. There's being influenced by artists and then there's imitating them. If I was listening to your stuff blindfolded I'd say it was a bunch of random Yea Forumstants in a BC/SC thread instead of one person. Skill-wise you're not there yet but there's a great foundation for bigger things. Be inventive. Don't conform to the norms you've either heard of/learned/studied etc when it comes to song-writing. Trust your ear more than your brain. Use sounds that feel good to you and make music you personally want to listen to.

Agree completely. That's one the hardest things when it comes to making music, invention. I have a few songs in my clyp that I feel like I did something unuiqe, but it's a rarity. I haven't releases anything in a year because I'm now in the development stage and only want to put out something polished. I think I'll be like this for years now that I have this mindset, might focus on ambient because that's where I'm strongest. If you wanna link your stuff I'll take a listen.
