Not really. I used to have 60kbps internet years ago and got a stable ping+ no packet loss in all games. Dota 2, cs go, modern warfare 2, racedriver grid etc.

You don't need more than 50 mbps for anything. Period. Even if you download a lot of games its enough as 1 GB downloads in 3 mins.

download/upload rate while playing games online is like 50kbps download and 15 upload,only dial up online play was affected by download speed,today only ping matters which means stable connection and proximity to the server
