A pretty good series. I'd say all 3 games are worth the buy.

It's better to play them on PS2. The first two games have this annoying audio desync bug which makes one of the boss fights incredibly difficult.

Some fun games.

fun games with fun stories, not every level perfect but it's still great to play

1 decent, if unambitious platformer, 1 weirdly ambitious sequel that loses some pacing, and a third game that's a fucking mess but does some okay stuff.

the desire of wanting to breed carmelita

somehow giantess fetish fags got involved in the development though

UH OH! HERE COMES THE BEST LEVEL IN SLY 2

A good time.

Play them in order. Oh, and in Sly 2 make sure to get the paraglider asap, you'll need it.

A good time. Don't buy four and you are golden

You're goddamn right.

I hope you're prepared to
jump and press the circle button

Four is worth it for Cowboy and Ninja Sly.

Don't pay much for it though, borrow it from a friend if you can.

Wanting to impregnate a fox.

Here we go boys
1. Sly 2
2. Sly Cooper and the Theivious Raccoonus
3. Sly 3

WHY

2 > 3 > 1 > 4
1 aged like milk
2 and 3 aged like wine

SLY 3 IS SHIIIIT

SSSSHHHHIIIITT

Sly 4 > all
Fuck you nostalgia faggaloons.

4 is better than 3. The hub worlds in 4 are really fun and have a lot of secrets, and there's no frustrating minigames in the entire game. Unlike 2/3 where you might get stuck for an hour on some bullshit copter/turret/speedboat garbage.

2 is obviously the best and 4 doesn't reach its heights, but 4 is also steadier throughout and just seeks to kind of deliver more of the best parts of 2.

Main flaw is the nasty art style and the fact that Sly's MOVEMENT feels wrong if you play it right after 2 because they nerfed him.

2 > 1 > 4 > 3

Fight me niggers.

This is for the best. The Jak ports are horrible on PS4 and I can't imagine they wouldn't screw up the Sly ports as well.

I would imagine they had more plans back when they had the dumb movie idea but then dropped it after the R&C movie flopped.

Prove it bitch
You wont’

the ports played fine for me desu

Remasters when?

Inverted camera controls, y-axis !!!AND!!! x-axis.

NON.
CHANGEABLE.

I prefer the first game for the simpler concept and tighter pacing, but it's a personal preference and otherwise I agree.

And by really fun you mean really big

So I never played 4 but did they really make that pink rabbit waifu of bently's from Sly 3 the main villain? Did they really do my man like that?

Sly 5 will probably be handled by Sanzaru agaain since Suckerpunch is now a big shot name dev and more likely than not the first boys who were there for sly are probably gone.

Sanzaru has passion but not skill, to be honest. I wish they did and Id like for 5 to happen but after the comercial failure Im not sure it can ever come out. Im just hoping that the sly cartoon does well.

This. I'd be playing this shit right now if it was out on PS4

Why do people hate 3 so much? I thought it was good

It wasn't the worst, but after Sly 2 it was quite lacking. The bonus challenges were fun at least.

Not the main villain, but yes
How come fucking Sly Cooper threads have people using spoiler tags but Danganronpa threads don’t, even on major plot points?

you must not be bothered by graphical glitches or framerate drops then, because the ports are not good.

>Carmelita
This is unfair

I completely agree, I don't get the hate. I grew up on Sly and 4 was great fun. Only didn't care for the final boss.
She isn't the final, but she is one of the world bosses. Honestly felt forced and dumb, considering there was no semblance of it in 3.

>vita gets R&C, Sly and Jak
Although the latter runs pretty shit it is playable. Still don't understand why the never did port the games to ps4 apparently it is not too difficult and the demand is there.

Sly Cooper fans arent mouth breathing minigame playing VN weebs. Seems simple enough to me user.

It's just a mess. The whack menu-based navigation, the continual anti-climaxes, how it just dragged on while adding nothing exciting or particularly new, the new worlds weren't particularly fun to navigate, and the party banter was seriously lacking.

The lack of Sly 5 or 4 since TIT doesn't really count

Damn that fucking sucks. I liked her in Sly 3

For me at least, it had too many characters shifting the focus from the main trio, and no clue bottles which seriously hurt replayablity and enjoyment of running around in the open world.

The hub worlds in 3 are pretty empty compared to 2 and 4 which both had clue bottles and treasure to collect.

To add to that, I feel that compared to 1 or 2, the connection between worlds is arbitrary, since the story is really only pushed by the people in the gang. 2 has a story that builds upon itself, and alhough M is the obvious final boss, it would have been cool to see more connections between the story and worlds. I give 4 a pass because it vaguely has that with the villians, but also time travel means that it will inherently have disconnected worlds

So is anyone going to point out how Sony has a pattern with its first party titles in that they're all incredibly similar even when they're in different genres?

>the first game sets itself up with basic gameplay
>the second introduces more playable characters, minigames, new mechanics
>the third does all of this and more to the point where it cannot even be compared to the first game

sly, ratchet and possibly jak all fall into this category while modern Sony is having all of its first parties be third person cinematic adventures.

Makes me wonder what the next kind of trend Sony will enforce on its first party devs

Attached: 1556033962782.png (271x240, 104K)

why is carmelita's model in sly 1 so large compared to cooper

Why don't they put jak and ratchet games on psnow?

>play Jak 1 on PS4
>Jak feels weird to control here
>wonder why and check
>shit has limited directional inputs

Attached: 1550619857891.jpg (1080x1033, 101K)

I know M was suppose to be an evil version of Bentley who couldn't get over his jealousy of Sly's father but it would have been cool if they actually revealed in a twist that it was M who told Clockwerk where the Cooper family was living at thus kickstarting the whole trilogy.

Sly 3 was the one with giant hubs with NOTHING in them and no reason to explore.

I think they were leaving it open for a redemption story in Sly 5 and then they never made 5.

Gravity Rush 3 never.

Ape Escape may or may not fall under this considering 3 had a lot more interesting stuff and 2 wasn't that interesting.
That series also got weird spin offs.

funny that even crash 3 and spyro year of the dragon fall prey to this

part 1 of the holy trinity

ps2 was such a great console
>R&C
>Sly
>Jak
play them all

Don't forget Ape Escape
