Just use legs augment and machine gun, bro, sleep your way through the game.
James Nelson
No they don't. You're treated as a trainee until you start proving yourself on missions. JC has a big mouth but the other characters don't believe him.
Charles Brown
it's called pacing my nigga
Aiden Harris
I didn't find a single Aug my first playthrough until Area 51 (like 90% through).
The fact that the game doesn't hold your hand with augs I love but also hate
Jack Carter
He's part of a 50 billion dollar cutting edge nano-tech program that's meant to be more advanced than the mechs. Meanwhile, his starting augs are pretty weak. Everything you see on screen is actually what JC sees. He has targetting aug, infolink, and a flashlight. That's it.
Most plays don't go for Advanced right away, so JC basically can't shoot anything. That's where a lot of people complain about "the controls" sucking in Deus Ex.
HK can be like 10 hours in. You could start the game with the strength and subdermal augs. They're pretty weak.
Nolan Nelson
I missed half first playthrough. But in-universe it's rather funny since JC is given a prod, some ammo, two handguns, and that's about it. Everything else he has to find and steal in missions.
JC has to run around UNATCO HQ looting everything he can find just so he has enough for the missions.
So you have this 50 billion dollar cutting edge soldier, and he is barely given any equipment and has to scrounge for everything.
Levi Hall
you're a real hardass
Blake Young
My game is bugged. I go untrained in Pistol, but when I start, I'm trained anyways.
Ian Bell
his vision is augmented
Nicholas Davis
>his vision is augmented
Yet you cna't get the vision aug until HK.
Adrian Ramirez
>I didn't find a single Aug my first playthrough until Area 51 (like 90% through).
There's one right beside Leo Gold at the start. Weren't you curious about the weird blue wine jug near him?
Jaxon Watson
Technically the HUD, the IFF reticle and infolink are augs, but you never play without them so it doesn't feel that way. It was apparently originally intended that you would lose your augs while the killswitch was active, wonder how that would have played out
Grayson Phillips
>I didn't find a single Aug my first playthrough until Area 51 You're seriously retarded.
Mason Barnes
Deus ex hell gang we out here
Christian Cox
Killswitch seems like an aborted plot line tha that had a bigger role in another version. You get it, then immediately run to HK and you're cured. Nothing is accomplished with it.
Giving JC a week long killswitch might work better, by having all the events occur within that last week.
Ethan Taylor
>Technically the HUD, the IFF reticle and infolink are augs,
Yeah, everything the player sees is what JC sees. But these are pretty weak augs that aren't really special. Certainly not worth 50 billion dollars.
Interesting that the prequels have the same concept, but mechanically. In HR the shades have the HUD on them, while for JC they're inside his body.
Jayden Long
he can't do shit compared to the AVERAGE MAN when he starts out the game he's level 0 for the game but extremely high level compared to you and me so it makes perfect sense
Mason Green
You don't know what you're talking about. It takes millions just to buy equipment to film a movie. CCTV security is a billion dollar industry. Biomechanical engineering like shoving all those things in your body with full integration doesn't even exist and 50 billions is probably not even enough to fund just to put theorized concepts into practice.
Evan Ramirez
>silent running >not using stealth pistol to distract guards >has to slowly crawl through vents without agility enhancement
>run into a room with a fire-extinguisher, stun everyone, then whack them with a stick >or just running up behind everyone and killing them with my laser sword
