MGSV made triple its budget back, they could have easily add the cut content, make a DLC or remake MG 1 and 2 in fox engine. Instead they made Survive to scam more money out of gaijins. They also cancelled Silent Hills, while the demo had very positive reactions, just because they didnt get along with Kojima. Not even mentioning what they have done to the SH series over the years. They managed to ruin both of their best franchises and fuck over all of the fans in favor of their pachinko business. Fuck Konami forever. Projects need people who do what they like and don't commit to hard technical work. I do very little crunching and even then it's extremely hard to get my head out of technicalities to look at big picture and for what is "cool". So yeah i'm all up for Kojima doing his shit keeping head in clouds vibing with celebs. So far DS isn't in unreasonably long development, yeah majority of gameplay will most likely be something akin to eurotrack simulator but again so what? He has his fans but he is nowhere near big enough to justify treating him as major negative: he doesn't establish cancerous trends so let him do his thing

Sony do own it and are funding it, but they also own Detroit which is coming out on PC now. They've only officially called it "console exclusive".
