I NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM.

WHAT'S WITH THE LIGHTS

47 needs to infiltrate a KKK meeting

The new games will never be as good as Blood Money. One of the only examples where I think the soul vs soulless meme applies. Kyd's OSTs added so much to the older titles, I really miss the music. I like the new games a lot too, but they could have made them almost perfect and they fucked up a few key aspects.

Gotta check ya white bread.

YOU LOOKING FINE TODAY BITCH, WATCHU GOT ON UNDERNEATH ALL THAT

While in hindsight, the jungle missions in Codename: 47 may have been a bit weird, but fuck me, it oozes soul. The way the foliage moves as you touch it, using your map and compass to find your way around, and fuck me, the music.

I fucking adore it.

I only like it in the nostalgic "I was a happy little kid when I had to play through this shit" way. It was fucking awful

I dunno. I played through it recently and didn't find it that bad. That said, while I love 2000's graphics C:47 has aged poorly.

Mechanically and in terms of replay value the new games are superior. BM is a lot more broken and busted gameplay wise.

BM is only better in terms of it's atmosphere and OST. Even then, Numan 2 has a decent OST even though the composer is no Kyd.

It's on par with yame yame

Felt bad about killing him. Not as much as that ex-crime family under CIA protection, though

GOTTA CHECK YOU WHITE BREAD

I'm just happy the current Hitman formula means we'll never have another mission like that again.

>Mechanically and in terms of replay value the new games are superior

I agree and I think that was to be expected 10 years after Blood Money. Like I said, I like the new games and have more than 300 hours in them combined but I think the overall atmosphere is lacking, mainly due to the music. The music is serviceable but its style is generic spy thriller, while Kyd's soundtracks were a lot more atmospheric and sinister, which was fitting of a game where you're a contract killer. Also small touches like blood pools and trails, NPCs reacting to them, looking through keyholes, etc. are missing from the new games and would be pretty great additions.

Yikes I don't even have that. The jungle missions raped my ass, stopping me from moving on with the game multiple times. I really have no comfy feelings about them.
>ragdolls
>physics
>low polycount high texture detail
>massive levels
>clean cut aesthetics all around
>engine so good even cinematics in between missions were totally viable in-engine
>"aged poorly"

BM is the apex of 00s-era kino.

I definitely agree all of those would improve the new games, same goes for a currency system, but I think people who claim BM is better solely for having those things a a little blinded by nostalgia.

BM was my favourite game of all time before TM2 came out, but I find it hard to go back to after getting used to all the mechanical improvements of the TM games. BM kind of feels like a prototype for these new games now.
