Okay vanilla game that honestly was only considered great due to having the fortune of coming out at the end of 2011 when most FPS that year turned out to be disappointments of various degrees.

I'm dling Brutal Doom right now, so in a few minutes I'll be playing the greatest FPS of all time.

I don't lie to myself about what SS is, it doesn't have the complexities of most other FPSes but most of that is in the form of level design, and it doesn't really need it, sometimes you're just in the mood to run around in a giant fucking field mowing shit down. And it's a fair bit more complex than s+m1.

I played these games for the first time like 2 years ago and I think they are just great, simple fun

Yeah, but they did cut out some levels that had to do with gravity shit.

Because "the greatest FPS of all time" is too fucking easy, play some shit that requires actual skill, I marathoned both encounters one day and while it was fun enought I was getting so fucking bored of all the circle strafing and jump dodging near the end of 1st encounter. I've been doing this garbage on shitty DOOM wads for years, Blood kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, lightly broiled kicked my ass so many times, I never once felt comfortable playing Blood. Just when you think you've gotten into a proper groove it comes back twice as hard and knocks any delusions of you being good at the game. I might come back to attempt it on well done one day. t. 19 year old zoomer
