I played it on Windows 7 like 2 years ago, had little problem (had to do a little options fiddling, but nothing outside of game launcher options). However the game is rather silly and kinda simple. It's a survival horror turn based RPG with pretty barebones RPG elements. The survival horror comes from little supplies you get in the game that you're supposed to ration. Great and varied enemy roster though.

2/10 see me after class.

However user 1 said that the OPs image reminded him of a lovecraftian design (does kinda remind me of the Elder Things as well), while user 2 (you I presume) started talking shit. You know Lovecraftian horror is both aesthetic (tentacles, alien geometry and culty dudes speaking in tongues) and a setting where humankind is completely irrelevant to greater forces in the cosmos and beyond. Both of these things count when you describe something as Lovecraftian.
