Wtf Yea Forums this game is sick
It seems like it! I would love to try it!
What's your build?
hey hey people
I just started yesterday and I made a gunslinger. Started off w/ the revolver and bandit trait. Currently lvl 11 at ashbury looking to buy some new guns or get supplies to make the repeater rifle. I don't have an exact build, but I believe i'm doing pretty good so far. Nothing seems impossibly difficult yet.
So much shit to do, so many quests to do, so many ways I could branch out my character.. I don't even know what to do. It's fucking amazing.
If you try it, be sure to download the ddraw fix among other patches. The frame rate and resolution without the fixes are pretty shitty. But once you get past the initial hurdles, this game is amazing.
Sweet thanks!! I tried to install it a few years ago and it kept crashing
hi sseth
It's pretty good.
I got weary of it towards the end, ended up spamming Teleport and the time magic. The game peaks in Tarant and while the payoff for the stereotypical fantasy stuff is great, it plays it way too straight for way too long and runs out of decent quests.
I can't believe Yea Forumsirgins give that guy money
Did you manage to get Dog?
I hope you have some points invested in melee or have good companions because sometimes guns are hard builds against magical enemies.
If you at least have Dog, you won't have to worry.. although Dog doesn't exactly make everything easy.
This was a decent game, I particularly like the neutral tech/magic thief builds
Instead of expanding and working on next instalments of fallout 2 they should make a sequel to Arcanum. MMORPG would be amazing if they translated the depth of the game into world/graphic like in ESO.
Where do I get Dog? I only have Virgil and that one chick from Dernholm.
The Droch gun is great.
You get Dog in Ashbury.
But you have to hurry, a gnome is kicking it to death.
My character was so charismatic that by the end of the game I had five companions and a dog following me around. I barely had to do anything in combat. It was great.
>magick but also guns
Oh shit, user, what are you doing
Restart the game and make a moron character. Int as low as possible.
>hey tarant
>nice kingdom you've got there
>it'd be a shame if something happened to it
You should try it.
Droch deals great damage all around, except to very magical enemies, so you use melee then.
The spells in Phantasm are good to use, even if you're technically inclined. The last spell here is for invisibility.
The first spells in Earth, Air, Fire and Water aren't affected as well by your tech aptitude, and still give +4 points to Strength, Beauty, Agility and Air's Shield of Protection adds more AC.
I've mastered Phantasm, then got full degree in Mechanical, so I was able to take advantage of half effort needed for casting Phantasm Spells, all the while enabling me to make hordes of Mechanical Arachnids.
I enjoyed playing Arcanum, so I tried mixing shit up.
>not dumping your mental stats
(((Gnomes)))
fuck off
Seriously, the gnome poster is ruining every Arcanum thread. That shit's neither funny or original. Oh hey, let's spoil this one potentially interesting quest for FUCKING EVERYONE.
This old game has been shilled a lot on Yea Forums recently. I guess a remake or sequel is in the works.
It's like what happened with Borderlands 3. We had a lot of Borderlands threads before the reveal. Or with the constant Tifa posts before the new FFVII trailer.
I will never do this, no appeal.
This game was fun, except for the FUCKING ORE GOLEMS THAT NEVER DIED AND BROKE ALL OF YOUR WEAPONS
remainder to murder every gnome you come across
just use ranged combat or magic lmao
man I fucking wish
it was a great game but it aged kinda poorly
The BMC was pretty bad on one's first go.
I don't think so. Most probably just anons playing Arcanum due to youtube videos.
