Once I finished GTA IV. I played it for hundreds of hours after wards. It was fun just driving. Fucking around with the physics. Evading the cops ( yes you could actually out run them and have an actual police chase )

When I finished GTA V. I pretty much dropped it after a week. The driving physics are god awful, cars shouldn't feel like playing crazy taxi at an arcade. Why the fuck can you steer a car mid air. You can't evade the cops, it really ruins the game for me. Part of the fun when you're not doing missions was going on a crime spree and surviving/getting away. But when you can't even shoot someone in the middle of the desert without 18 helicopters chasing you and police cars that break the sound barrier their so fast.

Seriously. Shit design. It's a simulated open world that holds your hand and wipes your ass for you. I prefer the missions where you just drive somewhere hop out of your car and kill 1 guy. IV is JUNK

I recently tried playing my boxed GOTY edition from like 8 years back and the DRM is so bad that it was impossible to get it started so I decided to pirate and that version ran flawlessly so the game itself ran just fine but I'm not guaranteeing you'll have the same experience

You can do it to everyone including animals, but civs have a lower health pool so you usually just end up killing them outright. Also, it isn't guaranteed to happen but from what I've seen, it has a higher chance of happening if you use high velocity ammo.

Niko is an unlikeable protagonist because he's such a bleeding heart al the time yet keeps putting himself in more and more danger. The map is boring to drive around, no variety. Almost every mission is drive to place-cover shoot-drive back. Some missions don't even let you drive back.

Say what you want about IV, at least that game had the superior police shootouts. In V the police just kill you way too damn fast, unless you're playing as Trevor you die way too easily to them and it makes free roam rampages become a boring fest of using the grenade launcher so they don't kill you. At least niko bellic could tank more bullets

Either a slight headache or completely borked depending on your computer, you'll have to run a program to restore the music they removed and downgrade to an earlier version if you want any mods (visuals are quite dated so icenhancer or another enb will help).
