Played BG1 once and it was ok
Played BG2 more than 8 times but beat it only 2 times, I always did all the Chapter 2 sidequests and then quit shortly after starting Chapter 3.

I played both with a friend and that's probably the only reason I was able to get through them. They're the games that made me realize I'm a complete fucking spastic with a non-existence attention span.

Bg1 is boring and a pain to play thanks to outdated quest design.
Bg2 is a lot better. I replay it at least once per year.

One of the best games ever.

BG games are kind of like Telltale's Walking Dead.
Everybody likes the first playthrough, but when you realize that your choices are inconsequential, it loses its magic.
Others power play through it with broken classes and shit to have fun.

Great when they came out and still great now but they are so outdated that I would dread playing them

EY YA ITS IMOWEN ALSO KNOWN AS THE PENGIUN OF DOOOM XD
>but old game so good

Never played neither. Thought about trying BG2 enhanced edition but then I remembered biocucks are a SJW company. I dont want stronk womyn in my games

You're wrong

>BG games are kind of like Telltale's Walking Dead.
Stopped reading there.
Please, just give up trying to have opinions on video games.

I just started playing BG recently.
It's eh. Alright.

To be fair, anything DnD related that strays out of pure dungeon-crawling is about as gay.

Pretty cool games, played through both of them over the last winter holidays.

Are other Beamdog RPG's worth playing?

They're my favorite but the start of the first game is such s slog.

>Beamdog
no, and where's beamdog bot when we need him?

It's shit because it gave rise to romances being a staple feature in RPGs, attracting the worst kinds of crowds: fags who buy games because waifus.

>Beamdog RPGs

You best be trolling faggot

Theyre pretty great yeah

Absolutely play Planescape Torment. By far the best Beamdog game, made in a collaboration with Chris Avellone, really good writing, very philosophical.

BG1 before 2?

I'm giving you one more (You) retard, they're the publisher they did nothing more than repack mods and slap their name on the game.
They never made them and will never do anything good.

And no a shitty dlc for BG doesnt count

kensai/mage godmode

>tl;dr the game

He is not wrong, choices dont do anything

BG1 was ok but BG2 is such an awesome game. I really wish I could wipe my memory of it because I've played it so many times I can't really bring myself to do it again.

BG is not about choices, you know.
I almost dropped the game due to this guy.

>I almost dropped the game due to this guy.
Same, it was at least 30-40 minutes of lore dumping. What the fuck were they thinking?

Just because BG isn't about choices doesn't make him wrong.
You just proved him right.

you must gather your party before venturing forth!

They're massively overrated and don't hold a candle to the games that preceded them
