This could happen to your games at some point in time. Stop buying digital. Get physical instead.
Support physical releases by not letting them die, support your own wallet in case some bullshit happens so you don't lose your money.
This could happen to your games at some point in time. Stop buying digital. Get physical instead
It's too late for me. I already deleted my physical body, and only exist online.
No way thats legal
>get physical
just pirate digital you silly goose
I'd like to watch how this would turn out on court.
>Stop buying digital
Renting
Jee I wish i could just pirate this stuff or ignore the empty threads, To bad I have a moral compass preventing me from doing just that.
>“We have recently discontinued certain older versions of Creative Cloud applications and and a result, under the terms of our agreement, you are no longer licensed to use them”
>“Please be aware that should you continue to use the discontinued version(s), you may be at risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties.”
why not, they didn't sell you a product, they're making you subscribe to a service for a time period
not like service that end after a given time are illegal
I keep a pirated copy of premiere and ps seeding at all times just to spite that hellish proto orwellian cumstain of a company
Krita for drawing
Darktable for photos
Any of a dozen video editors are better than theirs at this point.
Its cute they think I still even like their bloated mess in a world with alternatives.
Though your argument against digital doesn't exactly work here since there were physical copies of old Adobe versions. But its a good reason to have a pirate copy of games you actually own...that and cunting square and ubisoft crap making the legit copies a bitch to use.
>Jee I wish i could just pirate this stuff
Yes, that's also an option. However it's nice to have a physical collection, for autism purposes.
>buy physical in the current year
>get a disk that downloads steam and a steam code
That's hilarious, because Adobe themselves can be sued for telling people what they can/can't do with the software they've already purchased.
publicknowledge.org
Adobe are absolute scum though so it doesn't surprise me they'd pull this shit.
Why haven't you switched to The GIMP?
Companies have more rights than people in the US.
what if you've had sex and as a result don't think anyone gives half a shit about boxes or give a shit about them yourself?
This pretty much
Fuck adobe
No fucking way this is real. You're shitposting, right?
r-right?!
Because its crap and its interface sucks. If it has some function you like go for it, but use Krita dude.
I'll just pirate them all suck my dick, I'm a fucking God
MSG V was literally that, a DVD with a Steam installer and nothing else.
...
I'd take a shit in the courtroom and kill myself.
It is, has has happening for years on PC. Games almost never release on blu-ray because many can't read them and they don't want to give you 20 DVDs either.
but it's starting to happen on console too, F76 did it on console
Well I bought it on console and I got a disc, so that must be PC then, so it doesn't matter because PC almost never gets physical anything.
What if you'd had sex and you do care about said boxes?
Gamers are so stupid, they'll attack you for trying to help them. It isn't worth preaching. Trust me. I've seen it for years. Just do your own thing.
But all the physical copies are essentially digital ones nowadays
>block it from calling home
gimp is deprecated. Krita has replaced it. Don't mention gimp anymore, mention krita.
This.
Well shit.
You buy physical and pirate digital, obviously
>F76 did it on console
As always, PC devs and their retarded practices are ruining shit for everyone.
anyone who bought this game deserved to be ripped off. there's a point where people need to start blaming consumers for enabling these corporations,.
This has been the case on both PC and console for awhile in some cases.
>buying a physical cardboard disk with a code on it
>not just pirating
Clip studio paint is the future.
>all the physical copies are essentially digital ones nowadays
Why would you lie on the internet?
LMFAO I have never paid for PS and never will. I'll just pirate as always. Thanks for all your hard work Adobe.
How would buying a physical copy of a game prevent the scenario that's happening with photoshop? If a game had an expired license you could get sued for using, no physical disc will save you from that.
>I have never paid for PS and never will. I'll just pirate as always
Based, wise man.
..optimally the solution would be to just give usb flash storage (shit is super cheap when it's read-only)
but devs won't bother if there's no standards in place for physical (especially when it comes to DRM protection)
This is why we need the final solution more than ever now
>If a game had an expired license you could get sued for using, no physical disc will save you from that
Gee I sure am gonna get sued for keeping my console offline and using the "expired" game on it.
>CREATIVE CLOUD
>NOT OLD CREATIVE SUITE VERSIONS
snore
>Be Australian
>Spend 365 days a year battling spiders, snakes, nuclear heats and trying to jerk off with potato internet.
>Have my half a day a year off coming up where everyone pauses the clocks so the rest of the world can catch up
>Pre-Order MGSV physically for PC so I don't have to download some fuck huge file
>2mb steam.exe
>mfw graphic designer
>never have paid for my software in my entire life except for video games
>it made me thousands upon thousands
I forgot to add that a lot of discs are made so cheaply that some are starting to fail from age now.
If you really want to be hardcore about it you need a digital copy on your own server with a mirror setup or redundant drive system.
I really didn't think carts would be the longer lasting thing. I still have all my old physical stuff, but when you have a shit ton of games loading up a file off a server is a lot easier.
Depending on where you live consumer protection laws can offer a far greater degree of protection if you have an actual, physical piece of media compared to just a digital license.
Companies can't audit you if you've never bought from them in the first place.
>Be 3D Animator
>Just collect legitimate software as you move from gig to gig
>Now have legit subs/licenses for 3DS Max, Maya, Substance, Topogun, Zbrush, 3D Coat, Adobe, Knald that old employers have all forgotten about.
Good times.
Not really, games don't usually sell subscription services similar to adobe's software. Maybe if you play MMO's, but that genre is dead.
it's the same
In 90% of cases, you never own games (even physical), and you just have a license to be allowed to play them. This is how it goes for the majority of software, it's never really treated like owning a chair or something
probably not, but as for videogames will you start a costly lawsuit against multibillion dollar entertainment giants just for a a few bucks worth of game once it's over?
just pirate your shit, 99,99% of cases they won't go after you and 99,99% of cases you wont go after them
For video games it'd probably end up being a class action lawsuit.
It's stated in the same license that it is in perpetuity, not timed. Adobe literally sells a subscription service. It's not even remotely similar, unless you're on PSnow or google stevia.
God bless you!
I have literally bought zero games that have steam or other form of online activation. I have pirated hundreds of games over the years. Fuck this faggot industry, I will never pay for a licence to play a game. It's even dumber now that Denuvo is a thing, which literally makes your legit copy run worse than a pirated one.
Most PCs don't have Blu-ray drives and your never gonna fit modern games on DVDs
>This could happen to your games at some point in time.
No, it can't.
who the fuck still falls for adobe anymore? it's not 1998 anymore where all there is to choose from is adobe, corel, or jasc. there's way cheaper and just as powerful (and better) drawing software for the professional artist. and if you just need to touch up family photos that was krita is for.
>liked game you pirated, had tons of content
>actually consider buying it for a change
>realize half the content was DLC
>buying it all would cost $250
>your never gonna fit modern games on DVD
Because faggot devs don't bother with compression anymore.
I hope you get fucked in the ass when the industry crashes again.
>when the industry crashes again.
video games are too big to fail lad, its the sad truth.
that could be easily solved with flash storage through usb, it's very cheap when read-only and works for literally everyone (and also easier to implement DRM through that sadly)
not AS cheap as a dvd, but it's something that could be managed if there was a strong enough demand from consumers, but at this point everyone on PC accepted digital
How in the hell is there not a comprehensive open source applications of similar or better quality to Adobe products? By default there should be one for Photoshop, illustrator and Aftereffects.
Why would artists and industry let one company hold them buy the balls like that?
You mean GIMP?
>mfw I have maybe the only manga studio 5 crack in existence anymore
Feels good, really good program too, all free, all for me
>Why would artists and industry let one company hold them buy the balls like that?
because large companies that do art and media can write off the cost of adobe products. its only still in use out pure reputation from being around so long and not for how good the software is. for the smaller company or single user up and coming artist you have a myriad of great software to choose from that's either free or by and large cheaper and doesn't require some bullshit subscription.
>bestboy.png
user...I
>buy physical copy
>still doesn't work
>Adobe licenses technology from Dolby in a deal that requires Adobe to report sales numbers to Dolby to properly calculate owed royalties
>this is easy to keep track of with physical sales, however Adobe makes the switch to subscription/cloud services, requiring reevaluation of the previous deal (Do we pay Dolby per subscription? Per month/year a person subscribes? etc.)
>during this process the deal falls apart. Dolby accuses Adobe of fudging the numbers to withhold owed royalties, leading to litigation
>in response, Adobe abandons all older versions of their software that uses Dolby tech, telling users to "upgrade" to their newer (and no doubt Dolby free) software
>tell users that if you still use the older programs then Dolby, and potentially any other third party that Adobe might have pissed off and contributed to their tech development, now have the right to fuck you in the ass
Big media studios usually get better deals on software that small studios and individuals don't have access to.
Usually they only have to pay with good PR.
Think about it. One of the most commonly asked questions at developer/animator presentations from upcoming artists/studios is "what program do you use?"
>tfw most of your old physical PC games don't even install anymore, if it's not due to the windows version, it's due to broken DRM that you can't do anything about other than cracking it
>ITT: uninformed retards
Adobe has been sending out emails to all it's users that this is fake, they're not suing anyone, they have no problem with you using older versions of adobe.
>trusting information you've only seen on Yea Forums
Even fucking TUMBLR is more trustworthy.
OP only made this thread to promote his anti-digital view, he wants videogames to come as a 12 disc set for installation because he's afraid of the boogeyman.
This is clickbait. The article never mentioned anything about suing.
Nah, gamers won't stand for it
Companies can get away with a lot of bullshit in the u.s
Not that the eus downright anti company attitude is any better.
Eat shit OP. Your thread sucks.
SAIMASTERRACE WW@??
It happens with GTA
>>trusting information you've only seen on Yea Forums
>Even fucking TUMBLR is more trustworthy.
Untrue, specifically because of dissenting posts like your own. Tumblr by its very nature pushes a singular narrative, Yea Forums is full of people, with nothing to gain, and fully willing to express every potential viewpoint no matter how wrong it may be.
I don't know whether you or OP is correct, and i don't care, but i have now had both sides demonstrated to me.
>still have my old sims 2 discs
>tried to reinstall them
>because my software is too new they can't detect anything compatible and end up just not installing
Hah, even Adobe isn't that bad.
Even in the most Ayn Rand endorsed Rapture scenario, you wouldn't bully paying customers. It's just bad business sense. You bully competitors.
>This could happen to games too
Ok, but how? Most games trying to get into the GaaS model or similar update automatically and force you to match the most recent version to play with other people, but they have to do it over the internet. How could they tell you disconnected to stay on a previous version if, well, you're disconnected? Your system might as well not exist in that case
Can't they sue you for using the physical version though?
Try Krita. Please stop pushing GIMP it really isn't.
There are. I've phased out Adobe years ago but the overlap of tech person that knows of them and artist is small.
Also art schools push it because its known, just like push Mac (for a performance boost that hasn't existed since motorola stopped making their CPUs if that tells you how damn long ago that was)
Artist need more tech friends.
When I brought the stick of truth it had to install through steam but the game was still on the disc.
But the layer world of warcraft expansions couldn't even manage that, the only data on the disc was the launchers.
>layer
*later
Also I should clarify that although the data for stick of truth was on the disc you can still download it like any other steam game if you want.
>Please stop pushing GIMP it really isn't.
I haven't used GIMP is many years, i simply don't have a need to do editing and lost my passion for it. That said, it fully fits, or at least fit, the
>open source photoshop
description.
They can only sue if you're using a version that uses technology from the now failed deal. Dolby in particular.
And that's assuming they decide pursue legal action against users at all. That's why Adobe is warning that you "can" get sued. Not necessarily that you "will" get sued.
>tfw it's easier to install old games (in their original form) on linux with wine
Adobe's suite is great and absolutely worth my ~€50 every month. But I could do without all the background bloat and having all my files held hostage to the license.
>boogeyman
what about digital is a boogeyman? we've already seen that's it's negative. games getting removed from storefronts, or entire storefronts being removed and leaving you with no way to access the shit you bought (wii shop channel for example). kys shill
They exist, the problem with Adobe products and MSoffice is that they are the industry "standard" aka corporations are so used to them that the see no point of ever changing them, meanwhile Adobe and Microsoft instead of offering a better product focus on bloat and ways to make sure corporations never change the software for a better option, like fucked up file formats.
>try to install Baldur's Gate from the 5 disc set
>works fine
>install it from the 2 disc TotSC set
>works fine
>install IWD+Heart of Winter
>works fine
Is it user error, or are some games just much more shittily programmed.
>Been meaning to reinstall Photoshop
>Not sure where everyone actually pirates shit these days
fuck
how is Krita's lasso select tool?
>tfw you do this and it still doesn't work because you're trying to fucking play games on linux
>buying
man the old WoW boxs were fucking great, I still have my vanilla, TBC and WotLK ones.
just go to piratebay
I thought it was a honeypot now or something.
Fuck off piratescum
You are why companies hate us
I've really never understood the concept of paying for a game you've already gotten for free.
companies hate you because you havent given them all your money yet
even then they'd still hate you
Why do you give a shit what companies think? They don't care about you either way.
>implying I paid for photoshop
What do you mean? If you mean game fuck ups, sometimes happen.
Back in the day, Bungie made a made with an uninstallation process that could wipe out your HDD. Also, some games also where packed with viruses.
In consoles territory, NISA fucked up a couple of times with a bug that could kill your PS3. Soul Calibur 3 had a bug that wipes out your PS2 memory card.
Fucking sue us then so we can get some precedent that shits all over this retarded argument.
Protip: everyone pirates fucking photoshop anyway. Kill yourself
Or we can just form our private tracker.
Can someone make the logo?
I mean that people in this thread keep claiming inability to install or run old games, but every game i try works just fine or has minor graphical issues, like Brood War before the HD remaster patch hit.
The reason many Switch games are fucked because no matter how cheap you may think these flash drives are they cost a lot more than discs. So you either pay the cost on top of the normal game price or get one chapter on it then download the rest.
it depends on the game dumdum. Some games can't even be installed on modern computers being they use old 16 bit installers.
imagine being this much of a cheap asshole
Ok who or which government is going to stand up to Adobe and tell them to fuck off with this bullshit?
This is downright immoral, and should under no circumstances be accepted or allowed.
Prove it. My anecdotal evidence comes first hand, while your claim seems foreign and false.
It is
That's the joke, it's owned by thr FBI
This is why they want to push "X as a service".
Tim Cook dreams of selling digital shit like that, he's already pissed that people repair their iPhones instead of buying the newest, heavily overcharged (even for Apple standards) iPhone.
Their company their right
Free market
You badass motherfucker
>Tim Cook
Prime example why homosexuals should be publicly executed. And I'm an Applel faggot.
That's pretty wild.
I work with very fucking expensive machinery, that we purchased almost a decade ago. Usage of these machines requires a license agreement, which includes ongoing support from the supplier. That machinery is part of our company value and directly affects our services and pricing.
If they suddenly decided to discontinue that license, we would be out of pocket to the tune of around $5million. That machinery instantly loses it's legitimate value. We can no longer on-sell to recover any of that capital investment.
For a small graphical design company (
No
>MUH VIDYA CRASH
It already happened in the "HD era". It's why so many companies went defunct in the late 2000s/early 2010s and indies started to become more and more relevant while the big publishers just stood their ground because they have the means to do so.
>buy physical
>get a steam code
wooooooooooooooooooooow
>prove games that have 16 bit installers
google it tard
Fuck you for using superior, old stuff that just works. YOU'RE KILLING CAPITALISM YOU COMMUNIST PIG, BUY NEW SHIT
>Government
user, murrican government can't even solve the issues with the ISPs bullshit and they are a bunch of senile dudes that will probably say that open source software is communism. Also, you already lost, you already have sucked Adobe's dick so much that instead of exploring alternatives, you're seeking government support.
Are you telling me that there are people who DONT pirate Photoshop?
No.
As an aside, i just installed Warcraft: Orcs and Humans in ~3 seconds, and it ran just fine.
Yea but its kinda crap. Interface is eh and won't move people off photoshop and photoshop despite its name is far more useful as an art tool than a photo tool to the extent even Adobe made another thing for actually using with photos.
Krita in the free software realm is a much better art tool than GIMP and for photos Darktable is a very nice alternative to Lightroom.
GIMP was the thing back in the day if you didn't want to pirate CS3, its just been replaced since then. It didn't really keep up. Wish it had because more options is good, a digital artist will feel more at home with other things at this point.
>Companies can't audit you
they don't care about legit software in third world countries then
universities, designer schools, a fucking 3d animation school that did 2 movies in my country
they don't care user, I've seen it multiple times
I'll just pirate them if I cant play them in the future, Also you think tech in the future wont be able to stop you from playing physical copies? I dont think you realize the kind of ass pounding we're going to be getting in the next 15 years
I went nowhere near this game and I'm still fucking mad
Argue over this.
(You're welcome)
Unironically based
And? Regardless, they will lobby for a change in some law and that's it.
>Krita in the free software realm
Is it also open source? If so, i might take a crack at trying editing again. I have little to no artistic talent outside of music, but doing recolors, making banners, and messing with other random shit for things like my D&D games could be useful to pick up again.
Do people even still use forums and signature banners anymore?
Magnet link me
>not pirating/emulating everything
Faggots.
Industry standard hasn't really changed in the past couple years.
We get some of the new kit as we grow, but the benefits are marginal.
Stop killing the free market, commie
The Orange Box did the same with discs downloading/forcing install through steam which was more than 10 years ago
Some PS4 and Xbone games do the same with forcing partial downloads to play the fucking game. With updates and patches, even if the game is on disc it is already dated or flawed with issues
Cool I'll just keep using that copy of PSP7 I've been using for nearly twenty years.
this happened with nier too
haven't bought physical since
The freeware versions still suck. After 20 years.
>buy physical copy
>it's just a box with a download code inside
You're about five years too late to this fight, user
OP's pic is clickbait horseshit. They didn't say that Adobe will sue you for using old versions of the software, their quote was
>“We have recently discontinued certain older versions of Creative Cloud applications and and a result, under the terms of our agreement, you are no longer licensed to use them, [...] Please be aware that should you continue to use the discontinued version(s), you may be at risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties.
That's because Dolby filed a lawsuit against Adobe themselves over the way Dolby's software was licensed for certain products
assets.documentcloud.org
In the unlikely event a user is sued it wouldn't be by Adobe, and they're simply being diligent by informing people it could happen because it already happened to them. Still a good argument for using free software when possible but it isn't le evil adobe.
VW customers in the US all got their fraudulent diesel cars refunded because Americans actually have rights.
VW customers in the EU got nothing.
What in the actual fuck?
Yep. Its good too. Its easily photoshop good though more a painter feel to it. Just takes time to get use to its controls, but I love its right click wheel of quick colors and brushes. Good tutorials for it from a number of artists with more talent than I as well.
If it had been around when I first used Photoshop, I would have never bothered with Adobe at all. PS is only around now in the moments where I run across something I don't know how to do in another program yet and need something in a hurry. That is probably been more than a year since it was booted up.
Hell Krita even worked out of the box with my tablets though if you have a drawing monitor set it as the main monitor if you have multiple or Windows gets a bit dickery.
The laws and court rulings are different for physical and digital software. You have more rights if you buy physical.
t. adobe
>Not that the eus downright anti company attitude
Nigga, how can anyone say this shit after article 13 passed? After the world finally got a way to kill off the old media behemoths, article 13 link tax basically guarantees them either immunity from criticism or a way to leech off of people criticizing them.
I believe my copy of CS source made me download steam years ago to download the game.
too bad most plugins people make are for photoshop, same for brushes, your darktable is pointless
>buy physical copy
>mishandle it even once
>ruined forever
>buy digital copy
>impossible to mishandle
>will forever be available as long as the service I bought it from stays in business and I don't fall into a fucking amnesiac fit
Fight for better laws on this shit, not for obsolete forms of distribution, retards.
Or just pirate shit lol
But they don't. I can make CNC paths a lot easier in Inkscape and Krita I like better as well. Few video programs I bounce between because Premiere was never the best there ffs that fucker took ages to get some of the standard frame rate settings.
Yea it also has a medical industry that has people actually dieing unable to get care despite if they were fixed they would be back into the working sector and actually on a cold numbers level more beneficial to society as a whole. And its largely that high because of insurance causing the prices to hike making insurance necessary in an endless loop.
Meanwhile those agencies were the ones gambling the economy on sub prime banking betting on defaults (AIG and I think Aflack did this if I recall). Which was totally legal yet crushed the economy for working people for years by intentionally bankrupting middle class and working people.
Mean while in banking they don't give a damn about you. They want to eat you up with fees, because the money they loan doesn't exist so what you put in is meaningless. And I'm going to stop here because I'll rant all night. I've worked in both these industries and it would make you sick.
But yea VW and a few select cases that there are not clear outs lose. Its like poker man, they let you win some because house will take it back eventually. EU I don't know the case, probably because they depend on Germany to hold up half the failing states there, but that is a guess.
>why not, they didn't sell you a product, they're making you subscribe to a service for a time period
My ancient CS4 is most certainly a product and not some online service. Are they going to sue me for putting in the disc I own?
in America it is
What do you mean? Krita is for drawing, whilst GIMP is a fully featured image manipulation program.
Article 13 has nothing to do with the companies, it's an excuse to get the infustructure in place so they can later use it to suppress political dissent.
davidrevoy.com
One of my favorite sources, but there are plenty of others and plugins too. Can make your own pretty easily. I do. Darktable is a copy of Lightroom. Lightroom shits on photoshop for photo editing on the quick so yea try again.
Look I don''t use open source on some principle. I'm making a business I'll use what works best and easiest for me. That has just lead me to use nothing by Adobe over the years.
Same with I don't boycott EA games. I just don't buy bland games, which means I've not bought one of theirs since probably 2007.
BF3 Premium was also an empty CD stock with a code in it.
>using krita over photoshop
enjoy not being able to use any of your photoshop made brushes and presets lmao. I bet krita doesn't even have a content aware fill tool or liquify function either lmao
Good, sue me then
>Article 13 has nothing to do with the companies
Companies have an outside PR division called "MSM". This lovely division is the responsible for acting as a buffer between any criticism from said companies fuckery and the general public. Lately due to the nature of social media, "MSM" was falling out of favor because people could easily quote and criticize their texts, as well as point out the numerous cases of hypocrisy that their writers committed. Now with article 13 in place, no such thing is possible.
And you are forgetting WHO controls the politicians, WHO is worried about political dissent.
Sure, sue me
>uurrhuhr abble bad use oramge
RETARD ALERT
GIMP is for image manipulation. For that it's perfectly serviceable if you aren't a neanderthal.
and only retards used photoshop for drawing in the first place
>fully featured
Not user but good to know, I've stuck with my pirated Photoshop this long since I'm used to it but can't use it for anything gamedev related obviously and could never afford a subscription, nor would I ever pay for anything even remotely SaaS. I'm awaiting the day Microsoft decides to just silently remove all pirated software from my computer or at least win10 installation to switch to linux definitively (I'd dualboot right now except SSD space is precious af and I'd rather spend a day doing it right than end up with some tiny 100GB linux partition with little room for software).
krita is for pencil and painting, it won't do shit for photo editting such as photomanips etc
>tfw when you still use Adobe Creative Suite 6 products
*ahem*
t. has no clue about even the basics of graphic design or anything related to it. shitty gimp doesn't even have fucking adjustment layers, while krita does. krita has more features than gimp, and what features gimp does have are obtuse to use and haven't improved in over a decade. there is no use for gimp anymore.
Hm. Hopefully there are some options for smoothing out the selection.
...
Thank God i use GIMP
Translation:
>We're not going to do anything, but some people out there associated with us in the past might, which makes you liable and not us.
read the EULA dude. you just buy a licence to use the software. you don't own the software in any sense of the word. that's why open source is a big deal. in open source you have access and shared ownership to the program in its entirety.
>buy physical
>requires steamworks to activate
>Get physical instead
Physical is dead and has been dead for a while you retarded mongoloid. Tranny devs intentionally ship their games broken so all you are left with is a nonfunctional alpha version at best, and just half the assets required to run the game at worst while the other half is held hostage as day 1 DLC.
The true answer to the planned obsolescence problem is piracy.
If compared to Krita then yeah.
fuck you, you gullible consumer peasant ! you are the reason they dont push innovation on vidas anymore. pirating is not a big deal. you bought into their propaganda fan girl
>Physical is dead and has been dead
that's weird...I'm looking at all my physical switch and ps4 games right now. are they fake? hallucinations?
>pirating is not a big deal
b8
You're not making any sense. Why would somebody else other than Adobe sue you for using old Adobe software? On what grounds?
What does Dolby sueing Adobe over the way Dolby's software was licensed for certain products have to do with this topic?
You casually dropped some stuff witout even attempting to explain the logical or otherwise relation to the subject at hand.
I'm guessing you are trying to confuse and obfuscate the issue deliberatly, possibly while working for Adoble.
You have a chance to explain yourselves now, or if you fail to do that, get the fuck off.
I can't wait for all the tears when Steam shuts down, it's going to be glorious.
>ps4 games
You mean a 5 cents piece of plastic that needs to download the actual game before you are allowed to play.
my ps4 isn't connected to the internet at all
nigger
seething
Lmao I am still using CS3 from 2007 because I'm too lazy to update it
Stop living in lies that Yea Forums tells you
fallout 4 disk only had something like 5gb on the pc disk, the rest was downloaded
your body will be too old to emit tears at that point
>buying games
Because Adobe's software uses Dolby's software you dumb fuck.
>pirated photoshop cc 2015 years ago
>never felt the need for anything else, does more than I need it to easily
I wouldn't be surprised if the EU sues them over this, which in turn would lead to stopping this retarded mentality.
I only say the EU cause I'm guessing American courts would just choose the company over the consumer.
>bought Clip Studio Paint 4 years ago
>licensed forever
>Better UI than PS
>made from the ground up for drawing
Yeah fuck Adobe
lol literally who the fuck actually buys anything from Adobe
We live in a dystopian time where corporations have more power than politicians which is why article 13 existed
Don't even get me started on Disney
>adobe tries to sue big company for using old photoshoop
>big company's lawyers bitchslap adobe's lawyers
>everyone loses except the lawyers who are making a lot of money off stupid bullshit
perhaps they should work to make their newer iterations of software objectively superior therefore a good investment via improving user interfaces, expanding functionality and optimizing performance of their software. "buy our new one it has a bigger number on the can OR I'LL SUE YOU" isn't a compelling argument
i haven't updated since i pirated CS5 forever ago and adobe can suck my dick
As it should be. The sum is far more valuable than its parts
>Get physical instead.
Physical has been dead for well over a decade.
Pretty much every game after 2004 is incomplete and won't work without patches and might miss chunks of its contents.
How did we end up in this hellish nightmare
>tfw using paint shop pro 9 for the last 10 years
Consoles went online and started to offer ample storage space.
Publishers quickly realized they could speed up the publishing process by delaying QA after the disc were already sent out to print and then delivering a day one patch.
In the past patching a game meant issuing a whole new print, so QA was taken more seriously.
Nowadays you just lolpatch a game and you can print pretty much completely broken messes to disk.

This reply has been overused to the point where it's more meaningless than it ever was. Fuck the normalfags that dragged this shit here.
>muh Tranny bogeyman
You sound so weak
You must be new here

I'd like to believe if they came at gamers with that bullshit they'd regret it fast after countless gamer attacks on the government are carried out, paving the way for fixing our law to not be so pro company and anti consumer. Gamers have it hard enough with micro transactions and lootboxes we don't need more shit!
Looking at you EA! Gamers can't take much more of this, that would be the last straw.
Paintshop pro sale when?
save hex
she's in a sydney nightclub
Have sex, incel.
vegas 14 is the best vidya video editing software out there.
No you don't
>buying games
no.
And before some virgin start talking about muh viruses and shit, I pirate using a spare phone and then install the .nsp files into my hacked switch. It's the comfiest hacking in the world.
imagine ever paying for a license to use software at any point in your life. how did people get this retarded
Niggers and brown babies lead to low IQ
Anyone here use Affinity as a Photoshop and Illustrator replacement?
It is good?
Are you me?
Adobe can sue my big fat cock, I've never paid once for their softwares anyway.
VIDEO GAMES
just buy the base game retard
because if you like a game you want to support the devs so they can make more content/new games
>thinks physical means shit anymore when the game isn't playable until you download a 50gb day one patch to play it
I already use GIMP you mong.
He who has the gold makes the rules.
The EULA doesn't mean shit you retard. They can't sell you a product and 10 years from now sue you for still using it. If you pay for a copy and can use it indefinitely YOU OWN THE COPY. PERIOD.
Full copies of games or software which are not subscription based ARE NOT services because the consumer is not told when the "service" will end. It's literally fraud to sell games or software as "services" if they are not subscription based.
If you sub to an MMO you fully expect to play it as long as you pay the monthly sub, you are informed that you need to pay to keep using that product.
The EULA says you DON'T OWN THE IP and you don't have the right to DISTRIBUTE UNAUTHORIZED COPIES however this is misleading because YOU OWN YOUR COPY.
Whoever writes EULAS are not lawmakers, EULAS are not above the law and if they go against any established law they are fucking void.
in the European Union if you buy a game on Steam or any non-subscription based software YOU OWN IT according to the law, idk why Americans are such fucking cucks when it comes to their consumer laws.
Fuck you corporate cucks.
Clicking accept on a dishonest, fraudulent or illegal EULA or TOS means absolutely jack shit.
>pirate all adobe products
>pirate all autodesk products
>buy good rare software thats made by small companies thats not on popular pirate sites
simple as
GIMP is absolute trash. I've never used GIMP and not cursed while using it.
>have had photoshop my entire life
>tons of art and edited photos
>became a professional artist thanks to pirated copies of photoshop and a boring childhood
>still pirate today cause don't want to rent faggot CC
>never given adobe a dollar
>only time I've ever used a legit copy of photoshop is at work
get fucked adobe
>pirating is a big deal

Hey I watched the Ross video too. We're all individuals!
Based.
I'm still rocking pirated cs4
EULA's aren't enforceable by law you dipshit
>buy physical
>it's just an installer for a DRM or just an activation code
it's called having a job loser
except the "sum" is a small group of individuals hording all the wealth and value of these companies while the actual majority get tablescraps. corporate cock sucker.
#GodIWishThatWereMe
having a job makes you an idiot who wouldn't take something you can get for free?
the reason this is happening is because Dolby is currently cutting their throats and Adobe is trying to get everyone else's throats cut too if it means Dolby will stop gutting them like a fish. Also who pays for Photoshop? lmao
What the fuck? What is this age of douchebagging?
see this is why piracy exist
>literally invent the pdf format
>provide pretty much the worst pdf reader on the market
Adobe.
This is in no way enforceable, Adobe is just covering their asses since the license expired.
GIMP is only for editing vidya textures. After you've made the changes in Photoshop
The reason why I made a steam account in the first place was because Lost Planet: Extreme Condition (in 2008) had dick-all on the actual disk.
Didn't they make CS2 free?
What?
my job requires paid software. my work is scrutinized by all who come across it. get a job loser

>Not that the eus downright anti company attitude is any better.
