This is a thread for those of you that love some mascot kart racers. That are looking at a rarity, two upcoming ones that both look solid while doing their own thing.
Mario Kart bros welcome too, I hope for both Crash and Sonic to be good, and be successful.
TSR has mostly been getting decent scores, 7 and above. Only a couple negative ones and the Metacritic score has people shitposting as usual when the game isn't even out yet and it could easily change. It's a little sad people care that much about scores instead of forming their own opinions but I guess I shouldn't be shocked
No, CTR was 30 back in the day though. It’s a fucking shame and annoying but the game itself does seem solid.
Transformed had a similar initial reception. Game itself looks great.
John Collins
It did? That's strange. I even got into an argument with some user that kept telling me how 7/10 is mediocre and yet Transformed has a Metacritic score that's just 6 points higher than TSR. Personally I predicted it would get somewhere between low/mid 70s at worse and low 80s at best, so I'm sure it's honestly a good game and people are blowing things out of proportion.
Yeah, I wouldn't put stock in it. Isn't like kart racers are a big blow the door down thing if Mario isn't involved so I wouldn't let a tepid journo reception color anything unless it were a complete dumpster fire.
Brandon Harris
Good point. I will say that the game's shortcomings even for me are small amount of characters and new stages since 8 are from the first All Stars Racing and 1 from the previous one, but part of me wants the 4 that didn't get carried over to be added in, just to have them all in one game and give me some incentive to leave the old games behind desu Not that I don't like going back to them, but they're on a dead console
Been playing the previous two a little bit the past few days and yeah, part of me is a little disappointed at the fact that a bulk of the tracks in Team aren't new, but I do like them being carried forward at least.
Also really looking forward to CTR, it'll probably be scummy with skins and shit because Activision, and the 30fps is a bummer as well as being less attached to the cast, for me at least, but the core is solid, it looks great, and has a shit ton of tracks and detail to tinker with so i'm pretty happy to have both hitting within the month.
Dylan Wright
meta critic scores don't mean diddly-dick stop giving them undue credence.
Parker Ross
I do too. One of my gripes with the first one is that many stages blended together because I didn't bother unlocking any of the music, so having them back to get remixes/new songs and a fresh coat of paint is nice. Plus I really want Galactic Parade and Sanctuary Falls without flight sections, because those were my least favorite mode and TSR dropping them wasn't a huge negative for me. As for CTR, I haven't watched much gameplay of the remake, but I played the trilogyremake a few months back and really liked it. I don't know if I'll play it as much as TSR, but I do hope to invest a lot of time into it at least. You're right, I should. At the end of the day some irrelevant score and some shitposting anons won't take away from my enjoyment of the game.
>7/10 is mediocre It is. 7 is usually the lowest score critics will give to any game no matter how bad they are. Look up how many 7s Andromeda got. It only received a single negative review
I keep watching TSR gameplay from leaked copies. The game looks like good fun now that we have footage from some people that aren't braindead chucklefucks.
I don't know, I always felt like 7 meant "it's fine but needs improvement," while something like 5 or 6 is full on mediocre
Connor Nelson
Unironically hyped for ctr. Looks like decent fun. Just got the n.sane/spyro trilogy bundle. Gonna challenge myself to bang em’ all out before it drops.(tho I’ll likely still get it on release for ‘muh pre-order content’)
Juan Carter
I'm cool with a lot of redone tracks from the first game. If you play a lot of Transformed, you can't go back to that first game. It's like going from a fine art gallery to looking at cave drawings. That's how primitive it is.
Dylan Roberts
Again, it's how CRITICS use scores, not what you think they mean. Andromeda for example was a full-blown disaster and flopped, got a price drop immediately and still no one bought it yet only ONE critic actually said it was bad. (giant bomb)
>7 is usually the lowest score critics will give to any game no matter how bad they are. No it isn't. You don't read every review for every game. You also don't even play most of the 7s you insist are mediocre.
You're also someone who has played games for 20 years and whether you want to admit it or not, you're extremely nitpicky so a game that is mildly good but has some flaws is going to be something you consider average and mundane.
Reviewers are giving 7/10s just fine. It's you. It's absolutely you who is interpreting them wrong.
Jace Phillips
I have to agree with that sentiment. It's why I hope the last 4 that have yet to be brought in from both games (Ocean Ruin, Egg Hangar, Sanctuary Falls, and Galactic Parade) get into TSR as DLC. With some more new stages as well, of course I guess that makes sense then. It's why I don't really care much for numbered scores most of the time and just form my own opinions, or at least prefer reviews where instead of a score they decide to let you be the judge based on what you read/heard them say.
Jaxon Adams
I just bought Super Mario Kart, Super Circuit, and DS and as soon as those games come in the mail I'll have a complete Mario Kart set outside of the 3 japanese arcade ones for obvious reasons. Just thought I'd brag.
Anthony Price
>It's absolutely you who is interpreting them wrong This is your brain on onions >or at least prefer reviews where instead of a score they decide to let you be the judge based on what you read/heard them say. Problem is most critics are useless and don't understand what they're talking about. Especially when they think story is more important than gameplay
We're talking about the value of review scores and your perception of them. Scores will always be coloured to some degree by preference though if you really dislike anyone liking a story focus, then you'd be better served listening to specific reviewers who share those tastes than using metascore systems.
Regardless that isn't even related, the point is that you don't play most of those 7s you insist are mediocre. If you did you'd realise that they're usually not actually mediocre, or if you do consider them mediocre, it's because you've played games that do the same thing better (those are the 8s and 9s, obviously). Which is why mildly good games are mediocre to you. You've experienced great, of course mildly good pales compared.
It's you who doesn't understand that there can reasonably be something between a 5 and a 9. Not reviewers.
Also you're not 15, communicate with something other than newfag cancer words.
John Rodriguez
>the point is that you don't play most of those 7s you insist are mediocre Once you've played one 7/10 game you've played them all. So yeah, I've played them and I know how utterly mediocre they are. >You've experienced great, of course mildly good pales compared True but I used a terrible game as example, Andromeda, which was a shit game by any definition. metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/mass-effect-andromeda/critic-reviews But look at the reviews. 71 out of 100. Extremely close to the supposed "good" game score. Only 1 negative review. >It's you who doesn't understand that there can reasonably be something between a 5 and a 9. Not reviewers. It's critics that don't use the full score. In my book a 5/10 is a mediocre game. In reality 7s is a mediocre game, 8s can be barely acceptable, 9s and 10s can still suck ass because everyone raved about the story and no one talked about the actual gameplay
I agree, but there do exist experimental games that people will bounce off of but do what they set out to do and get a cult following. Deadly Premonition, God Hand, Killer7, etc.
If you want to write off the 7’s that’s fine, but some games that are great just don’t review well.
Robert Roberts
>phone game studio speaks for an entire multimedia company >they have to go along with it to avoid political backlash What a dick move. Hardlight has a short future.
Christopher Thomas
>>If you want to write off the 7’s that’s fine I never said I did, merely that 7s tend to be shit
Anthony James
cope
Lincoln Ross
Eh, they can be, but a lot of the time it’s that they didn’t do anything to wow the reviewers or are abstract or experimental out the gate.
A lower budget but well developed mascot kart racer would fall in the first category
Landon Martinez
This
Gavin Parker
Crash Team Racing was my first game I ever beat with a memory card and I'll always love it for that.
Carter Diaz
If CTR has a score over 85 on meta critic I'm going to shit post you STRannies so damn much
Thomas Butler
Wow, what a shit game.
Austin Hill
You’re gonna do it anyway
Chase Brown
As if you would let a mere number get in the way of your shitpost fix.
I'm playing the Switch version as we speak. It's very, very bad. The Switch quite literally heats the fuck up to a level that is uncomfortable. I have no idea how they allowed it to release in this state.
Jaxson Lee
>the average crashfag Reminder these people are literally insufferable in real life too.
It dips and struggles to stay at 30, all this "portability" meme and the shit drains your battery faster than fucking Crash nsane does. Really starting to get annoyed with games just being un playable on the Switch.
Hunter Cruz
How did you get it so early? I thought it wasn't out until the 21st? Either way if what you're saying is true looks like I'm gonna have to get the PC version.
Carter Bailey
Daily reminder to not buy TSR on launch. Crash will crash the price in a month and make this game go even cheaper than it already is. It will go faster on sale than Forces.
>So SEGA aren't giving out review copies of the Switch version of TSR Same with the Xbone version Also I don't know why people buy multiplat games on the Switch when it's obvious its going to be worse framerate and graphics wise. Day 1 I knew I was going to get it on PS4 for this reason, not a shocker it sucks.
just pirate it on switch, funny that you can pirate it but it's the literal worst version, AND, the best bit is, it will probably be the best selling version. kids love this shit.
>It's a little sad people care that much about scores what are you doing then ?
Isaac Perez
I'm more interested in Sonic's than Crash's because it's 60fps It makes a really big difference to me and I don't understand how they couldn't get it at 60 on the Pro
Xbone version more likely than not is just due to it not being a relevant system right now
Liam Taylor
just don't play online on str if you care about fps kek
Samuel Evans
I don't play games online anyway
Anthony Roberts
I was hoping it'd run 60fps, even if the graphics suffered, I figured it being portable version would outweigh the graphics but if it's not 60 then there's no point.
Anthony Rogers
Portability. Not playing it on the train like in the ads, but playing it in bed or anywhere other than on your couch in front of your TV
Daniel Robinson
Kinda retarded in their end because the PS4 score is whacked now. They could at least use one of the platforms to inflate their ego at least for the launch of the game
Cameron Barnes
Nobody tells you about the Switch becoming a fucking heat bomb and the battery running out in 2 hours when they show you those portability ads, do they?
Jayden King
I will never understand the portability meme. What's the point in portability, if the game runs like actual trash, and looks worse than most phone games?
Advertised as a portable, yes. It doesn't advertise, as stated, the fact that battery runs out in 2 hours and heats up to silly levels. I thought Crash nsane made this Switch heat up, wait until you play STR.
It is pretty bad, the first map they give you plays okay, but the further you get in, the most the game starts to buckle and you can feel the delay. It just wasn't made for the hardware of the switch, they're in this weird middle zone where they have to cater to ps4 hardware, but also cater to Switch hardware.
Some newer games even seem to be overclocking the Switch's hardware youtu.be/gNqLJE4Z1MI
Adrian Ramirez
Are you in Nigeria? How is your switch getting palpably hot?
Owen Brooks
it already looks like a 90+ game just from what we've seen. 85 is a reasonable score
Christian Ross
>caring about review scores jornos dont give a shit about gameplay, they dont even care about FPS. all they care about is brand name, and an Activision game will get a higher score because Activision.
Anthony Walker
No offense lad but I keep seeing things like this, and it seems that the only reason you don't care about review scores is because they're getting low scored. If this was getting 93 or something, you probably wouldn't shut the hell up about it. Crash does look x10 better, just in this shitty webm alone you can tell. Not all Activison games get reviewed high, that just sounds like cope.
Jordan Sanchez
I want to like TSR but the nixing the whole Sega All-Stars part of it is just a huge dealbreaker for me. I like Sonic games but you can't fucking sell me on a game centered around characters if it's just Sonic and his butt buddies. It really irks me because Transformed was an almost 10/10 game even with all the people that got axed from the first game. Even with how much I liked those games, I guess I'm biased because CTR is quite literally my favorite racing game of all time. I didn't think we would get a remaster but then the madmen went and did it. It looks better with literally every new trailer, too, I have no idea how the fuck they pulled it off. My dick is diamonds. I have such mixed feelings about all of this.
If you google crash team racing, all these mini reviews are saying it's possibly the best remake ever made, and they've nailed it.
Alexander Harris
Another thing, is that it's only 15 characters. Crash is currently at 21, and haven't even announced all of them. If Sonic was only his friends, why didn't it go all out and put EVERYBODY in?
Adrian Allen
People will tell you that it's "comfy" but I see nothing comfy in the game looking like shit and playing with shitty controllers such as the Joycons.
Id rather play 3DS or Vita and games made for these systems in the bed or whenever for that comfy feeling than the Switch.
Jonathan Ramirez
What do you do with the joycons if you have actual man sized hands? Do people actually realize just how small these things are? Are they specifically made for nip hands?
Nathaniel Ward
Actually Crash is at 25 characters right now. 26 if you include Penta who hasn't been officially revealed yet.
Wyatt Scott
Some games shouldn't have been made for the 3DS at all, I get it is popular and devs always want to port their games to popular systems to sell more, but there should be a line where they should just say no rather than releasing a very shitty version of the game only to get more sales.
Logan Myers
>Crash does look 10x better >30fps Lmfao
Owen James
>Team Sonic Racing releases in a few days >CTR: Nitro Fueled releases in a month >Mario Kart 9 will probably happen soon So when are we getting Pac-Man World Rally 2?
For me is not just the size that is bad, but I guess making them bigger would have made the Switch even more bulky, but how flimsy they look and feel, every time I use the Joycons I have this feeling they may break at anytime compared to the PS4 or Xbox One controllers, I know the Joycons have a lot of stuff bundled into them but I can't help to feel like they're made of cheap plastic.
Liam Adams
You do realize STR runs at around 15-25 fps online, right?
>article says game will be 30fps CTRFAGS CONFIRMED ILLITERATE
Cooper Gray
Has anybody else noticed no sonic games are allowed to be bad now? Sonic heroes is now apparently a "good game" after people reclaimed SA1 and 2 as "good" and now people are already calling sonic 06 "underrated" and talking about how it could have been a masterpiece. Fucking sonic 06 of all games isn't even allowed to be bad.
Is this the end result of an entire generation growing up with access to the modern sonic fandom?
Nitro-Fueled has a steady frame rate of 30 frames per second on the original PlayStation 4 hardware, but those of you with an Xbox One X and/or PlayStation 4 Pro will be able to enjoy the game at a solid 60 frames per second when all is said and done. These will no doubt be the superior versions of Nitro-Fueled, though there’s nothing wrong with taking the game on the portable front with the Switch, if you can step away from Mario Kart 8 long enough.
The edit was good though.
Xavier Hall
SA1 and SA2 are good. Sonic 06 was a very ambitious game, just turned out awful.
>UPDATE: So we talked a little further with the team and it appears there was some miscommunication at the event. The game will run at 30 frames per second across the board on all platforms, including Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.
I don't think there's anyone seriously saying 06 was anything but a tire fire. It "could have been good" if they hadn't rushed it out the door glitchy and broken, but fundamentally it's just an adventure game done wrong. Compare to Sonic Boom which was fundamentally flawed. Saving that game would require throwing it out entirely and starting over.
Nathaniel Carter
Crash is 30fps locked, the article you posted confirmed it. Holy fucking shit are Activision drones really this stupid? Can't even read?
Xavier Gomez
>the SAMMY ports are bad therefore they are all bad No
Landon Davis
Those boat segments were unexpectedly based once you get the hang of them. It's sort of like perma-drifting.
Cameron Lewis
sonic is gay it's official unlike your memes cry harder until you suffer internal organ failure LGBTIQA+ phobes
>he's still posting ports DMC3 had some awful ports. Doesn't stop DMC3 from being a good game
Camden Ramirez
Wait until you see the Switch version of TSR.
Hoo boy.
Ethan Hernandez
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST CAN WE HAVE ONE THREAD ON Yea Forums WITHOUT YOU FAGGOTS ARGUING ABOUT STUPID SHIT AND POSTING SHITTY NEW MEME WORDS OVER AND OVER AND OVER. I mad, dammit.
Mason Lewis
SA1 and SA2 are popular and good games.
Zachary Long
If you were to list every 3d platformer ever made, including shit like gex and croc. SA1 and 2 would still end up solidly in the bottom 50%, they are below average even in their genre, let alone against gaming as a whole.
Hell, in 2017 a kickstarter funded 3d platformer made by 10 people was better than any 3d sonic game ever made.
Because Crash and Sonic fan bases are fucking autistic. Turns out the Mario kart threads are the chillest ones despite the game not being that interesting
Jacob Reed
>he's still cope posting COPE
William Moore
There's plenty about Team Sonic Racing that looks just as good as ASRT and I'm more than happy to ditch boats and planes. If Sega gets their head out of their ass and adds DLC, I wouldn't mind putting ASRT away for good.
That play time isn't accurate I don't know what happened to my save file. I've easily played well over 120 hours at least.
Because muh teams. TSR roster is very definition of a basic bitch roster which is very disappointing and I say this despite the character I wanted making it in. The roster would've improved infinitely if they didn't focus so much focus on team theme and just throw in characters that are eapart of the main cast like those currently included on top of Cream, Espio, or Charmy, throw characters that vary in popularity like Chaos, Mighty, or Nack, odd choices like Tails Doll, Merlina, or Motobug, and special guest like Riders did like Nights, Billy Hatcher, and Amigo. Hell even fresh faces like Infinite or the obligatory baby Mario filter in the form of Classic Sonic.
Chase Hernandez
>Crash's current VA actually nailed the WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Fucking 10/10 game.
>using the boost from the short cut instead of just a regular hang time turbo No wonder I never unlocked N Tropy
Logan Torres
stop projecting
Christian Carter
Stop projecting.
Jeremiah Parker
I still can't believe they fucked up Team Rose and Team Chaotix in a team based racing game. The fact that Zavok of all characters is playable just makes it even worse. Fuck Sega and fuck Sumo.
>and fuck Sumo There's no way any of that is their fault.
Mason Clark
stop projecting
Gabriel Ramirez
Stop projecting.
Jaxon Davis
user why are you so obsessed with fags? They had nothing to do with this thread at all but you still felt the need to bring them up, you really should think about other things once in awhile.
James Sullivan
You baisically described Wipeout. Which is also faster.
Not that I don't like Wipeout but we're never getting another one of those ever from current Sony. The games are kind of a breed apart anyway. There's no charm or goofy factor or cool characters and tracks in Wipeout.
Camden Stewart
None of the Sega crossover stuff sold all that well though. People love to talk about how great it was and how they hate Sonic and friends, but the sales don't justify keeping it that way. Brand recognition means more than quality gameplay. If we weren't getting this, we likely wouldn't get anything at all.
Jonathan Bell
>All these people talking about going fast on a kart
You think you know fast, but you don't. I'll show you fucking fast.
It baisically has most of the mechanics of kart racers including all the familiar powerups, except it plops them on top of physics that hold up on their own and a punishing risk-reward system with roll boosts consuming shield energy. And cuts all the unnecessary fluff such as bants and characters the story is all in the manual.
Ethan Long
>and Zavok Imagine being the Sumo employee who knew all the Sonic characters they could've chose from and questioned this fucking faggots inclusion.
>as soon as this level loads we're pretty much free to go as fast as we want
Jaxon Anderson
Don't quite get the logic about making Silver a Chaotix.
Caleb Anderson
Its not grouped by team.
Thomas Sullivan
>I really hope things like super turbo pads still work the same It does. They even added blue flames as an indicator you've activated USF
I am actually still losing my shit over this game. Like why does this exist. Why do we even deserve it. Remakes never remember to keep autistic details like this, and they never combine this with 4x more content...
So is CTR eventually going to be on PC? No offense to the developers, but I outright refuse to play racing games at 30fps, no matter how good they 'look'. Playing any racing game below 60 just doesn't feel good.
Justin Scott
>Remakes never remember to keep autistic details like this What I see is just them simplifying a mechanic from the base game, which every remake does. Your opinion is kinda biased.
Aiden Phillips
i'm just excited for a cart racer on PC that'll be alive for a few months and mb even get a consistent community
CTR looks boring. Nothing new for the most part besides new graphics, and 30fps cap is a killer. Plus the fanbase managed to be even more autistic than Sonic.
Jace Carter
I haven't been following it much, why does Tiny have a different drift meter from Cortex here?
David Campbell
You can never be as autistic as the Sonic fanbase, and I'm a Sonic boy till I die. That's like our personal badge of fucking victory at this point, Let us have that.
Asher Baker
>>You can never be as autistic as the Sonic fanbase Sup Smashfag.
Anthony Parker
>What I see is just them simplifying a mechanic from the base game, which every remake does No... if it were like every remake, it wouldn't even make it into the game. They would forget that there are two types of turbo pads altogether. They wouldn't have sacred fire either Like CNK didn't have them. This is lucky as shit don't even try to deny it.
>That one was pretty fun. A shame the bonus tracks were time trial only. You could play on them with your friends but I'll never understand why they hid something like 24 extra tracks that hard, I only found them while fucking around in the menus.
>if it were like every remake name 3 remakes you played that deleted mechanics out of the game. Btw CNK is not a remake, and is just like any post ND crash game, trying to be good be lacking effort.
Gabriel Perez
It's from Pax so it's a lot older (reserves are fucky too)
Jaxson Allen
STOP fuck. I don't care that CTR is Activision, they deserve my money and earned my trust.
Chase Cook
Remember to kick his ass online, user.
Colton Cruz
The shitposting will never end. I just want to play video games.
>first review on google is literally "not as fun as Mario kart, but still fun" Translated: "I am literally incapable of understanding that more than 1 kart racer can exist at a time. Please give me clicks because I am unable to go 10 minutes without gargling on cock." Disregard every single review you ever see until you actually see gameplay from the reviewer. It's pitiful that they can't even write a review in isolation instead of pointing at a big name series and insisting that they're remotely similar.
Aaron Johnson
I only need to wait until Tuesday.
Jacob Ward
user, to be fair, I get what you're saying, but..
why WOULDN'T they compare it to Mario Kart? If the objective is to choose which kart racer to get, and if the other game IS a kart racer, and the comparison is valid, why wouldn't they bring up MK? If STR just isn't that good, why wouldn't they just be honest?
Kayden Richardson
Holy hell, did one of the sonic general shitposters raid this thread while I was gone or what? I saw this thread as relatively normal but then I come back to see probably the biggest falseflag war yet, sonic adventure shitposting thrown in for no real reason, and a million stop projecting replies? Who the hell made them go this apeshit at a time like this?
Matthew Mitchell
Is it your first day on Yea Forums or the first time you see a game you like discussed here ? Now you know what your ironic shitposting does
Nathaniel White
do dev copies even allow online play?
Owen Rogers
Yes. This is nothing new.
Adrian Green
>name 3 remakes you played that deleted mechanics out of the game. Ape Escape: On the Loose Diddy Kong Racing DS Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix Also Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop if you consider it to be the original game remade in the RE4 engine.
Austin Scott
Wasn't the switch version relatively stable when it leaked? How did it get worse now?
Carson Torres
>Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix What the fuck happened there?
Evan Kelly
Specifically the HD version, which removed the multiplayer
Angel Harris
Even the PS4 Pro version can't maintain 60 and drops to 50 a lot. Sega gonna Sega.
Parker Garcia
>Spyro Reignited Trilogy >NFS Most Wanted 2012 >Dark Souls Remastered >Fucking N. Sane Trilogy and slide spin jumps not working correctly
Nicholas Collins
>NFS Most Wanted 2012 That's not a remake, that's a reimagining
Don't open the review with a "it's not as fun as X" Maybe go over the game from the bottom up. Start with the genre, what it brings to the genre in its mechanics/weapons/tracks, any non-standard additions that are included to the package, then at the very end offer a comparison to allow people who have read the entire review to make a purchasing decision. Putting that conclusion front and center just gives people an easy out to not even bother reading the shitty review in the first place. Especially when using nebulous terms like "fun" because what some people find fun don't line up with other people. Itemizing the pros and cons are the best way to distill what someone finds fun in a game because it forces them to put it into real words instead of just "I liek it." It also opens up the potential for the reviewer to out themselves as a no-skill scrub who shouldn't even be trusted to flip burgers or conversely to show just how much of an autistic savant they are for the game and how their review should be regarded among gold standards. It goes both ways.
Angel Wright
To be fair it did do all this, it just has the sin of saying "Mario Kart is better for your buck"
Suppose if you just skip all the fancy talk it's just a racer for kids who don't really care for all that, they just want to know if its good or bad. They even say it's worse than previous Sonic titles, think reviewers are starting to learn they might as well just cut throat and be honest. General consensus seems to agree.Just seems like a step backwards game, much like Forces.
Kevin Adams
I cared at first but honestly it doesn't matter in the long run
I agree, looking forward to playing the hell out of it You can fall off if you aren't careful, there's turns without guard rails on the sides in some sections
Aaron Barnes
>Mario Kart is so shit and irrelevant it doesn't even get to be with Sonic and Crash Glad we're away from that awful era and onto better things wouldn't you say Bandicootbros/Hedgehogbros?
Also here's the channel of the guy doing these crazy time trial runs. youtu.be/JK-By39idDk The genre peaked with Transformed and every release since then has literally just been a downgrade.
Brody Watson
How do I will a sequel for Transformed into existence? How many fucking goats will it take?
Playing through pirated STR on Switch as we speak. It's mediocre as all hell. It's just whatever, wouldn't recommend full price. Music is goat though as per usual.
Matthew Butler
2x more content* Relax.
William Myers
Silver in TSR Fake Crash and N. Trance in CTR

It's also got a fucking GOAT intro youtu.be/7xW8yAclRfI Easily the best of these Sumo racers

>mario krap >better than anything If I was in love with the idea of moving at a snail's pace even on 200cc, ridiculous bullshit items being spammed and boring tracks/music then yeah, it's better.
>boring tracks/music Talk about speed all you want but shitting on MK music? Just no fag. Just search up the MK8 soundtrack to change your mind.
Robert Clark
>boring music You better watch your damn mouth before I say something I'll regret.
William Foster
>boring tracks/music Even if it's ironic it's still shitposting
Adrian Cox
Show me one (1) good track from that game.
Logan Hughes
>MK8 >boring music
Don't go full retard, user. All kart racers have kino tracks.
Benjamin Jones
This. People just like mario kart because you're supposed to like mario kart. I could fall asleep playing it. At least CTR has depth and the Sumo Digital games are the fastest. MK is the definition of bland.
youtube.com/watch?v=AY_Ujecl2Rc Funny thing I originally didn't like Super Bell Subway, both the music and the track but it really does grow on your especially when playing against skilled players.
Charles Lewis
i like mario kart stadium, that's the most "race-like" track i hear for the others though, i hope that that stuff only plays during loading screens otherwise i cant help but feel that going fast won't be the first thing on my mind when playing
Justin Rodriguez
>Big Blue >No feeling of going fast Stop spouting bullshit and take it already.
You got to give it the sega treatment though "Sonic never had a good game" meme always drags down the scores. Mania is the best reviewed sonic game and it was 8s and 9s
Anthony Ortiz
Chao and crunch
Isaac Torres
I never liked Mario Kart and I loved SASRT, what other good games are there in the genre?
8s and 9s can basically mean anything at this point because critics only use 7-10. Even 10 doesn't mean anything, RDR2 is the latest example.
Hudson Ortiz
>TSR Shadow >CTR Cortex
Charles Edwards
what the hell? people were saying that it didn't even had a opening intro fucking liars.
Joseph Bennett
Orange Kid Squid in MK8 Deluxe Rouge or Metal in Sonic
I don't know Crash stuff so I'll pick one when I get the game a while after launch when it's cheaper.

You really had to shuffle the name around to use the tranny pun there.

There's an Indie Kart game on Steam, looks okay. Might play it later. Sonic Kart 2 or whatever it's called has mod support, sometimes Yea Forums plays that.

Team Sonic Racing is from the same studio and basically plays identically to it but without the transformations. Thing is I asked someone else who uploaded it where you can view this in the game and they haven't given me an answer yet. So it might not even be in the game, but then how did they get access to it for upload? It's all so confusing
Game critics dont review the game as it is but what they think it should be. Other user says transformed got 6 pts more but the main criticism is how transformed was better in a vague way.
Critics dont review sonic fairly because they believe all sonic games are bad.

MarioKart 8 can be played with Cemu on PC which is nice. I think MK8 Deluxe works somewhat on Yuzu too.
Unironically, Super Tux Kart, one of the original open source games is an equal or better than pretty much every kart racer up to the latest Mario Karts

>but then how did they get access to it for upload? Sometimes games get stolen in factories, like KH3 that got stolen like a month before the release for example. Maybe some Sumo Digital dev who knows.

>Critics dont review sonic fairly because they believe all sonic games are bad Or most Sonic games tend to be bad. I mean even die hard Sonic fanboys can admit to that. Sonic is a great character but it's a terrible franchise
Majority of critics are just bandwagonners, who the fuck cares what they have to say. Even if there was a good critic, I'm sure there has to be good owns out there, who the fuck wants to read a goddamn video game opinion, what a waste of time.

That's interesting. Maybe that's what happened. I'm still hoping I can view it in the game at least, that's something Forces was missing

Wouldn't just idling on the title screen make it pop up eventually or am i just dumb?
>All my friends are getting it on Switch so i'n stuck with 30fps if i want to actually have anyone to play with Fuck

According to some anons on here who pirated the game, apparently not. In both All Stars Racing games, the intro played as soon as the game loaded up. I would say it may be the intro to the adventure mode, but the gameplay I've seen of that doesn't seem to support that theory either
