A big theme in Persona games is the conflict between adolescents and adults, you are increasingly becoming an individual but are still looked down upon and dependent on your caretakers. An example of this is Yukiko's social link; she's expected to fulfill a family tradition but she doesn't like the constriction this tradition has on her future, alternately you could look at Lisa, the conflict in her story is with her father who expects her to be a weeaboo like him, these conflicts wouldn't work for someone in university, a setting better suited to stories about dealing with a lack of constriction and the real world as opposed to a world controlled by adults.

that could make an interesting SMT spin-off, a middle-aged Dojima-esque detective has to stop delinquent kids who are lashing out against society by summoning demons, the themes of the game could be stuff like feelings of being replaced or left behind, losing touch with society, losing motivation and struggling with the adaption to entirely new methods and technologies.
