Jeanne d'Arc

Why did this just fade away?
Will we ever get a PC port, remake, sequel or spiritual successor?

No, since it's a sony own game.

FASTER JANNU

Fuck off, faggot.

If Level 5 made the game, would they not still have the engine and be able to just make a "new" game sorta like what From did with Demons and Dark Souls?

I guess the time limit it had in battles didnt quite fit with the gameplay. Plus Tactics ogre was a far better tactical rpg even if it had inferior graphics

Why would it need a sequel
Also, Jeanne a best

this is your jeanne now

play her game

How is Jeanne always so great? Across all of the games and media and whatever, seeing a version of her always warms my heart.

ok

will emulate sometime after xenogears

jeanne a cute

>why did some shitty game that no one gave a fuck about on an irrelevant handheld fade away
well gorsh I don't know, retard-kun

Also, the PSP Jeanne game is really easy to emulate. The textboxes are a bit wonky, but it shouldn't be that much of a detriment.
And yes, Jeanne is the cutest and best.

>Why did this just fade away?
It wasn't good. Wouldn't have gotten any attention even if the system didn't have the FFT and TO remakes.

>Will we ever get a PC port, remake, sequel or spiritual successor?
No.

>it wasn't good
>t. I didn't play the game

It's about a woman but also christianity? How do I square this with the identity I created a year and a half ago?

>Bought this game at Gamestop. A used copy because that was the only copy they had.
>The fucker who previously sold it to GameStop had replaced the game with the demo disc.
Never played it. Any good?

I did though. I got some purple haired spearman who looked edgy as fuck and could also transform into super duper magical knight like Jeanne. Played a few more stages after that then I dropped it. It's just a mediocre game.

If you want an anime game about Joan of Arc it's worth a play, if you don't give a shit about the only canonical waifu then your time is better spent elsewhere.

Jeanne d'Arc, otherwise known as Joan of Arc, Johanne, and a bunch of other names, is a Catholic saint who is most well known for turning the tide in the Hundred Year War between France and England. Prior to her involvement, the France was on the verge of defeat, its soldiers cynical and hopeless. Jeanne came into command at 17 and won battle after battle, claiming that all of her actions were guided by the Lord and His angels. She inspired soldiers with both her constant victories and her encouraging speeches, telling them that it was God's will to have them win. She also personally escorted the Dauphin into enemy territory so he could be crowned king in the place where his ancestors were crowned. Unfortunately, the new king was much less aggressive than she was in war, causing her endless frustration when the English were allowed to regroup and resupply. She was eventually captured by Burgundian mercenaries and sold to the English, who held a trial for her in the city of Rouen. While it was initially a public trial since the English supported clergymen wanted to show that this holy maiden was nothing but a heretic, Jeanne quickly turned it against them by disproving every claim and humiliating them in theological debates. In the end, the only charge they could think of was crossdressing, which they then burned her on the stake for.
In short, Jeanne was a pious and determined girl who loved her country and her God.

Bumping for Jeanne

All sorts of Jannus are a cute, although I should finish this PSP game someday..

Great game. And why bother with a PC port when it emulates flawlessly?

How many Jeannes are there?

Edge-eanne is best Jeanne.

I love her so much. Makes my dark team so good.

Extremely cute

Why do the nips love her so much?

Attached: Albert_Lynch_-_Jeanne_d'Arc.jpg (770x1062, 1.07M)

Because she's perfection
Reminder that Jeanne
>Was extremely pious
>Was extremely nationalistic
>Was extremely pure
>Was extremely beautiful
>Had large breasts
>Had toned legs
>Had a slight tan
>Had black hair that she cut short
>Had a low, enthralling voice
>Was really smart despite being illiterate
>Was always aggressive in battle
>Was 5’2”
>Loved cannon
>Loved her country
>Loved God
>wanted to raise a family on the countryside after the war was over
>Had top tier bants
>Could maybe predict the future
>Was the best!

Extremely beautiful

Gorgeous art, solid mechanics, but really nothing *that* special.

>the one time 3D wasn't PD

It's crazy how absolutely wonderful she was.

What armor should I use for a Jeanne build in DaS3?

Attached: Cathedral.jpg (1003x1416, 1.44M)

>reminder that joan of arcs tristed companion was a child rapist and serial killer

Not when she was alive

It's historically accurate for Jeanne to have nice legs.

literal propaganda

and the fucking eternal anglo put her to death
gott strafe england

Attached: Jeanne a best.png (640x1065, 1.08M)

The balance in this game was a shitshow.

But is Gilles de Rais playable?

Attached: gilles_de_rais_by_vengatorblaze-d91nh1x.jpg (800x1027, 283K)

Yes, actually. He looks like an emo faggot, though

Sick desu

Nah, remember that Japan Studio worked on this.

Yes, The ending suggests that he gets possessed by a demon, basically trying to give an in-universe explanation for the IRL version's horrible crimes.

Who is the best Jeanne?

Attached: Do it for Jeanne.png (1052x648, 449K)

yes

Excellent answer

Attached: Beloved saint.jpg (599x682, 72K)

>learn about the game
>get excited because it sounds like some cool alternative history take on jeanne d'arc
>it's literally the most generic anime story that has nothing meaningful to do with jeanne d'arc, apparently it was evil monsters who were behind the french-english war, didn't you know?
>gameplay is extremely simplistic and baby's first srpg

Attached: 1j9ywu.jpg (400x369, 77K)

True but at least she lives in this version

>taking away Jeanne's sacrifice
This is not a good thing.

Sci-Fi Jeanne when

>defeating evil AND getting her quiet, countryside retirement isn't a good thing
>

Jeanne, reviens nous sauver une seconde fois...

>la pucelle

most based woman who ever lived
>tfw no christfu in the modern age
worst timeline

Jeanne said to the 700 soldiers defending Jargeau
>You will be massacred
And Jeanne is a keeper of promises.

To think that all she wanted was a peaceful life on the countryside

this game sucks
jeanne deserves better

Sony owns the rights to this game and since even back then it wasn't a success and it wasn't really great either I wouldn't expect this franchise to ever return, you should just emulate it.

There are other Sony franchises that are more worthy of a comeback like Ape Escape, Soul Sacrifice, Tomba!, Wild ARMs or Syphon Filter.

I liked it. Decent SRPG, story was good enough to keep me hooked, some cool mechanics as well. If you like SRPGs you should definitely try it, the only complaint I've heard is about time limits and difficulty being too easy at times because of your super sentai units.

There's another Joan of Arc game on the PC already:

>I got some purple haired spearman
That was Gille de Raiz and however edgy he was in the game was nothing on his real life counterpart.

The psp had some great rpgs I only wish we got translation patches for stuff like Gachitora!: Abarenbou Kyoushi in High School or Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke. Especially the latter one is really hard to play without proper knowledge of the language and there is no good videos about it.

Why do the Japanese like making her blond so much.

>let your friend burn for your crimes
>replace her with a fucking frog

lol

Attached: file.png (480x272, 207K)

Okay to be fair she was side questing at the time and left her with pretty simple instructions. Not her fault she can't do one thing like liberate France.

to be fair they're all fucking frogs

lmao, no wonder nobody ever talks about this game

yeah but I mean literally. Jeanne gets a new sailor moon bracelet, Liane gets her old sailor moon bracelet, burns, and Cuisses replaces her and gets said bracelet.

if I remember there was a post-game thing or something where you find her ghost and at that point you can swap between Liane's ghost or Cuisses

Attached: file.png (1152x738, 819K)

You base your game around some one who is historically famous for getting burned alive you need to burn someone alive. And Lianne was acting kind of bitchy anyways.

God's chosen one.

Attached: Jeanne_d'_Arc_(Eugene_Thirion).jpg (771x1082, 93K)

despite the interesting cover art it was pretty basic bitch mid 2000's anime too.

They could have 'killed' Jeanne by burning her at the stake but she ends up getting transported to that mystery realm where she got her mid season powerup

Attached: file.png (640x360, 423K)

Wasn't cuisses actually the real prince iirc? I mean even Jeanne was replaced at one point in the story, though she didn't almost get raped and die horribly. I wish Roger got some reward sex for his efforts

>Implying he and Jeanne did play hide the baguette afterwards

I fucking hate level 5 so much
rather than localize the (literally superior in every way) vita versions of danball, the console exclusively owned by autistic weebs that love /m/, they decided to let nintendies butcher it with a single fucking localization of the worst version of only the first game and a 4kids tier dub of the shitty cashgrab anime.
fuck
yes I'm still mad.

Attached: danball.jpg (960x544, 212K)

Attached: 1555945572630.jpg (1200x1806, 398K)

It's that and taking 3 years to actually localize shit that annoys me
