If you feel like consuming doesn't satisfied you anymore then be part of it, get yourself involved with something small enough to keep yourself fulfill with it, you will see how much more you will enjoy by becoming part of it.
For example car guy's aren't happy with just looking at magazine's of cars, or play those games that simulate how it feel to drive a sport car, some go futher then that and start a project car to rebuild it from the ground up to customize it in a way that they think it should be.

I've been looking for decent monkey threads for months okay, this is the best I got. 4channel is not delivering.

I can only play souls games now in my third decade. Ive stopped most games entirely and switched to fantasy literature because i wasnt getting enough lore in my games. Ill play some games here and there but im done with it as a major hobby.

As i got older i stopped giving a fuck about rpg-s, or anything story focused really. I ended up developing standards and realized how extremely shallow and uninteresting the story and lore is in these games compared to other medium. The main thing vidya has going for it will always be the gameplay.
