Listen closely- every boss in the game only has aboit 5-8 unique combinations of moves. Every time you dodge demons attack, make a mental note of what it was and how you dodged it. If youre paying attention, the number of attempts you need should cut in half. Its been a while since i beat demon, but i still remember most of his moves and how to evade them
>normal attack (dodge)
>sweep+sweep+stomp+sweep (dodge, deflect, dodge)
>fireballs (either sprint towards him or out of their range, umbrella if you're caught)
>perilous charge(jump)
>leap/wind gust (mid air deflect+grapple)
>conical ground fire(sprint to a side, jump, grapple)
>headbutt(deflect)
>buddha attack(just run in a circle)

Which Demon does not have. Just shut the fuck up. It took my countless tries to kill this basterd and I had a blast doing it. Not shitting on you dude, but maybe something the new yoshi game or shovel knight is more your speed.

This. The game is pretty easy to brute force as long as you know how to mikiri and counter sweeps. Still took me 50 hours to beat.

This fight is basically Sekiro's Midir. Running is preferable to parrying most of the time. Stay at mid-range so you have him in full view, learn how to avoid all of his attacks, and learn when the best time to punish is. The arena is huge so make sure to position yourself properly so you don't get trapped in a corner. Though unlike Midir, hugging him is a bit more viable.

Sekiro was overrated and when it was finally done, I was just happy it was over and felt empty. Whiping 40 times at the endboss and then finally making it is not fun, it's not honing a skill and it's not rewarding anything. It's just annoying, streffull and tedious.

It does make the fight easier if you don't want to bother learning how to avoid his attacks, if that's what you wanted to say.

This is the best boss in the game. Definitely not the hardest though. I beat him without any deflects or blocking whatsoever, you just need to get a few hits in then run away. Rinse and repeat. Also just run before he can trap you in that vortex on bar 3

beat him down to the final bar and then use malcontent to get the last one down for free

Same reason people had trouble with Midir, they go through the whole game using the same strategy then can't handle it when a boss stops them from doing it.

Sweep counter is jump attack?

You can do jump attacks but I only jump on their heads for posture damage.

What is even worse than the game is its toxic try hard pretentious communiy. It represents so much wrong with Yea Forumstards.

Run at him and keep to his right side/normal arm, he has the most blind spots there. And his retaliation attacks for that spot all have huge windup and are blockable.

This is what I did, but not before I spent 20 minutes trying to jump onto the building to get him to suicide. The thing is, I don't think I would have felt any worse doing that than killing him legitimately, only boss in the game I felt that way for other than Chained Ogre.

Took me around 10 tries which is more than I can see for any boss in this game except for Owl 1. Challenging but fun. Isshin was a joke compared to Demon

Probably why soulfags hate Sekiro so much. They can't play without a shield lel

I've never fought a headless but I'm guessing that's the advice you'll get.

All the headless are easy. Pop a divine confetti then whistle your malcontent and get some hits in. Back up when it wakes up and whistle again. If it stuns then just keep wailing on it. Rinse and repeat.

Should only take ~4 whistles and 1 confetti

Also, when he jumps, run away a little bit, and keep when he lands and grapple him. Free punish.

When he moves away, if he's up a slope from you you can run/dodge under his fireballs, and his long arm slam can be dodged super easy. Flaming buudas can be outrun, just circle him untill he finishes.

Biggest duck you moves he has is his low-charge, because it's windup is too quick to react to if you are still swinging at him when you see the warning. And the fire-carpet he starts using after said charge in phase 2-3, because it's got perfect tracking, "moves" incredibly fast, and is really wide, making almost impossible to dodge, and he never uses it if you are remotely close to him after said charge.

The key is to not let him get to far away, just like the early game boss you fought in the name location. He has no good options for punishing you getting on top of him, it's all either ranged/reaching aoe type stuff, or distance creating moves. And a lot of it is focused directly in front of him.

I don't really know what you're getting at. If an enemy does a sweep perilous attack, you can jump over it then press jump on top of the enemy to do extra posture damage. Should I go find a gameplay video of what I'm talking about?

Oh, I just zoomed in when he—or you—said sweep counter. I was afraid I had missed something besides jumping twice for posture.
