Tell me more

This game is surprisingly bad.

well, it has a good soundtrack

but I never managed to get to the point where I gain mana inside that stupid tower, also I got killed by everything and it looks like it was made 10 years ago

I had hopes, but they were all crushed

That fucking price tho

Its literally skyrim on mods.

Eh, git gud I guess. Combat sure is clunky but it's not hard by any means. I got mana yesterday with blue path and it was easier than I expected.
A weird game made by small team. There're survival elements and some neat stuff like season changing. Really fun to explore shit.
Pirate.

Honestly really like this game. Very comfy to explore. The criticisms are valid, but I still enjoy the game, feels like a real rpg. Hope we get content updates or DLC.

Played this with my brother for an hour and we were both bored to death after an hour.

>git gud
I need to set like 3 traps to kill a couple bandit, than hit them with a kick and then stab them with my lame ass spear

I really want to like this game, but one thing is "git gud", the other is "have faith your enemies will fall for your traps and sucke kill them"

Did they fix co-op yet? Can we both get exp now?

Buy skills, get better gear, learn magic.

There is no exp in Outward, solo, co-op, o otherwise.

What is it with modern "gamers" and single player walking sims?

Or you can get a bow and shoot them. Or you can get a hammer and knock them. Or you can learn the magic and use it. Or you can simply learn patterns and just kill them. Enemies look intimidating only first time, when you learn them it's not very hard to kill them.

>Git gud
Unironically true in this case. This game is so jank that combat kinda gets easier as you play more. even the boss can die in mere seconds using good equipment and preparation

>finally got the mana in the mountain
>full of loot
>used the boat
>entered the bandit's fortress
>got into jail
>paid the guard to release me
>no equipment
>no backpack
I uninstalled the game right away. What the actual fuck, I lost so much of my stuff. Not once I lost anything after death but for some fucking reason game decided to fuck me up.

There's no experience. Almost everything is fueled by coin (and travel rations, i suppose). Quest progress is only for the host though, not the co-operator.

In that case the backpack spawns near the entrance of the fort and you, for whatever reason, further down the beach. You just didn't see it on your compass and assumed it was gone.

I agree with what this user says. This game needs a hardcore mode if anything.
The sad part is that it looks like the devs do not want to mess with the current balancing. It gets tiring trying to handicap myself just get some excitement out of this game after overcoming the short learning curve. Hopefully the modding scene takes off.

>goes into a bandit camp
>loses
>mad he got robbed
It's probably better that you quit, user. There are also enemies with skills that destroy the items in your backpack should they hit you.

wow, so is the new fad in game design going to be moving the a hue slider on a shader to look unnatural? beyond that, what is there to this game?

How about equipment? I heard it's still somewhere in the fortress but there was only one chest and I even guessed the right lever but there was random shit inside.
I didn't even, just talked with the guy and picked an answer about rest. I didn't fucking expect a game to instantly throw me into the prison, like why there wasn't confirmation or anything, I just fucking answered a question, I didn't want to stay there.

Bizarrely this game looks better in screenshots that it does in-game. Tried it for an hour or so and felt pretty underwhelmed by it.

If the game got some kind of dungeon crawl mode where you just have to see how far you can get before dying in different floors while managing inventory and camp it would be fantastic, I love how survival and items are handled in this, its fun when you are actually doing something, the issue is there is constant running back and forth from places and its novel at first but gets boring long before you are done doing it, it shouldve just been a multiplayer dungeon crawler.

It's just an area around magic mountain. It filled with mana so the plants are purple there. Everything else looks normal.

your equipment should be in on of the rooms near the kitchen
