Why are PS4 and Xbox One users so reluctant to accept gyro aiming when it's the best middle ground between controller and mouse aiming? Why is it still the sole domain of downgraded Switch ports and a handful of Steam controller enthusiasts?

because no-one wants to have to wave their arms around to play games. games are meant to be relaxing.
>waving your arms
You mean making slight adjustments in the angle of your wrists the same way you do now?
how fat and lazy are you?
using gyro takes me out of the game and only elicits an "ugh, this shit again" response from me.
Dont fucking know
I played BotW on the Cemu with dualshock 4 and gyro aiming was fucking great for all these bow shots
Then I played Horizon Zero Dawn on the ps4 and I asked myself, ehy the fuck no one adding gyro aiming to these games when ds4 is supporting it?
Aiming with analog stick is fucking cancee
Vita did it.
No one liked it.
not that fat but pretty fucking lazy
you cant tell me that youd be able to have an 8 hour session on an FPS that requires you to flail your switch around constantly though
Because people generally don't want to play anything seriously on a console. That's what PC is for.
>Because people generally don't want to play anything seriously on a console.
Cawadoody esports is a thing
Because it’s an inaccurate and retarded gimmick that requires you to wave around a tablet rather than just using the analog stick
>Use Switch pro controller on Steam
>Enable the gyro aim
>Consistently get meat shots in TF2
Something like this, except there is no industry wide unity to push it through as a new standard.
>flail your switch around constantly
Have you ever actually used gyro aiming? It's just small adjustments with your wrists, the bulk of aiming is done with the sticks.
You really aren't flailing your arms around to aim. It's more making slight natural movements to help give your aim more accuracy. More consoles should have this feature, the Dualshock 4 has a motion sensor so why don't companies do it more there?
>No one liked it.
I did, it made Uncharted and Killzone way easier to play since I didn't have to use those tiny ass sticks to make small adjustments.
People literally think gyro: wiimote.
When it's actually just like moving your phone slightly when playing temple run or some mobile games where you have to tilt the GYROscope.
i mean youre downplaying it a bit. the wii's motion controls could be simplified into wrist waving, but it was certainly a lot more waving than using a mouse, let alone a control stick
also if you want actual accurate aiming with motion controls, youre going to need a low sensitivity like csgo-fags use on PC. which means a lot of movement
Ps4 has gyro, though it isn't utilized much. I don't really see anyone opposed to it, gyro is flat out superior for aiming that console analog
Fighting games are almost exclusively on console, save for tekken due to Koreans
Developers will never give up dual analog because if your audience never knew precision to begin with then you can make your game sub-30fps with flat levels and slow enemies that are always placed directly in front of the player and they'll be none the wiser.
i despise gyro and am pretty fucking sure i can easily outshoot gyro users with sticks
>retard links webm nintendey game made for slow inaccurate gameplay, exactly what gyro controls were made for
This is why I like the steam controller because you can have high sensitivity (trackpad) and low sensitivity (gyro) at the same time.
You’re literally standing in one place shooting at non moving targets that aren’t fighting back
Because you can't lean back and relax with gyro aiming.
Turn aim assist off.
Faster than shit like halo and killzone using twin stick
I'm pretty sure you're an idiot, gyro uses outmatch twinstick in any game that utilizes both.

Look at those arms wildly flailing around!
The only ones that still parrot this meme are those that have never even used it and the only exposure they ever had to motion controls were exaggerated TV commercials.
Thats not the point, you cant get quick precision like that with twin stick, movement or not
kek
2 niggers in denial of BASED motion control aiming
i already turn it off in any game i can.
gyro outmatches slow aiming like snipe camping, you cannot physically outshoot the speed of my thumbs in a shooter that requires fast aiming
My thumbs are faster than you turning your wrists or lifting your arms
>Because you can't lean back and relax with gyro aiming.
m8 the Switch is the ultimate lean back and relax system, playing Doom on it with gyro was max comfy even with the massive downgrade
Do you not know that gyro aiming involves using sticks to make big camera movements?
oh hm, i was just thinking it was like motion aiming. how does combining stick and motion aiming work? you mostly play it like a normal fps but have some fun control with low sensitivity motion controls?
Gaaaaayyyyyy! I think it's annoying, if I wanted to play like that I would buy a Wii. I was also wondering if they had inverted option on that aswell.
still never used one, i considered it when it was on sale a couple times but ended up just getting an xbone controller. is it actually that good?
do you know i've putten bullets into your body in the time that your brain has computed to both turn the sticks AND use your hands to use gyro
its pretty impressive compared to traditional stick aiming, but theyve just learned a pattern there. need to show some random and moving targets
That's why stick users can barely compete with gyro users in Splatoon 1 and 2, right? That's why 99% of the top players user gyro instead of stick, right? That's why when a single person dedicated months of his time to playing stick only to rank up in Splatoon he didn't even reach close to the top players, right?
I love mine and I use it for everything but I'm not going to lie to you it requires a ridiculous amount of set-up time since all the pre-made configs are godawful.
mate 99% of the playerbase in splatoon consists of children and japanese gamers (notoriously bad at shooters) your stats mean nothing
Nice. Now try gyro aiming on Doom. Splatoon was made with gyro in mind you dummy.
I mean an FPS is easy enough to set-up but stuff like RPGs or RTS that's gonna take some patience.
