So doing mahjong, crushing the puny easy and medium tables.
Question is where to use the other 2 Peerless Pieces, used one in THAT substory. Is the Kamurocho Mahjong cup on medium difficulty or is it also Akagi shit like the hard table? What format are those tourneys anyway?

>that aliasing
Please build a new PC. Yours is at least 10 years old at this point.

Roughly 30 or 40 times. Several of the final upgrades are just fighting him multiple times in a specific outfit.

Hard tables aren't as hard as the name implies and you can just savescum the tournament since it's just Hard mode again but you gain money. If you're going to use the tiles then use them on the tournaments only.

So they are just one hanchan?

Yep, they're a full game and I think they had red doras enabled. It's straight up just a normal match as if you were at the hard table except, if I remember right, you can't turn it to a half game from the options but I may be remembering wrong.

Is there any easy way to do Milky Nose on PC? Normal and Hard are brutal at 60 fps.

Ah ok, so the challange is beating one round on the hard table, got it.

thanks m8. At least, he's fun unlike Shakedown

That's jsut how the game looks. The game renders a bunch of stuff at 1/4th the resolution plus the AA implementation also isn't working right.

No no, the challenge is to go to the tournament. Talk to the guy at the counter and he'll give you a count of how many points you have at that parlor. If a parlor just has normal and hard tables then normal is worth 1 point, hard is worth 2 points when you get in 1st in a game, and if it just has easy and normal the easy is 1 point and normal is 2 points. Once you get to 12 points you can pay an entry fee to the guy at the front desk and he'll start up the tournament which is a hard mode table. If you win you get that checkmark for the tournament and some money. If you lose you lose your entry fee and have to get the 12 points again to get another try.

Sorry about the confusion.

damn these games look comfy as fuck. where to start? do I buy Yakuza 0 on steam?

Yes, if you just wanna go the easy way.

If you wanna do it hardcore, emulate Yakuza 1 on PS2.

Those are the only two routes. DO NOT start with Kiwami.

Yeah

Just finish the game and move on to Kiwami 2, its not worth it. Kiwami 1 is so bad compared to 0 and 2

I'm rushing the fuck out of it, but I want the Dragon style to be somewhat usable sometimes
I don't think it's that bad, there's some improvement to the combat that I appreciate, but for a remake it's a bit lazy. They should have made it on the Dragon engine

Either emulate 1 and 2 on PCSX2 to start from the bottom floor or start from 0 and go into K1 and K2 (Then revisit 1 and 2 if you feel like it because they have different content and different gameplay). The time you'll get from it is quite a lot and for $20 you really can't go wrong with these games at all. If you're really on the fence then emulate 1 just to see how it structures things. Obviously things have changed within more than a decade and there's no dubs outside of 1, FotNS, and Judgment now with 1 being the only English-only game, but that will put you in the frame of mind to expect.

What's the best way to go through without getting burnt out? I've heard these games are all pretty long.

Sotenboriin K2 is comfiness at its peak

0 is the best to start and also the best in series, you can play it and forget all the other entries

Stick to mainline and take breaks between them, if you've got blood lust for 100% then supress it for these games.

Just get 0 and play through it. It's actually pretty quality and the "length" is mostly if you're a completionist. Going from start to finish doing nothing but the main story quest is like maybe a 5-6 hour endeavor, less if you skip cutscenes.
The side content is too amusing to not play but that just depends on you.

If you're enjoying yourself, you'll probably play a bunch of side content, finish, and then want more which is when you'll move on to Kiwami 1. Probably end up hating Kiwami 1 because it's shit compared to 0 but finish it anyway because you want to see how the story plays out, then you'll hit Kiwami 2 and fall in love again.

kamurocho hills...

I go 100% in these games so my method may not be the same as yours and my tolerance may be different than yours. For me what I did was do one game, wait a week and see if I really wanted to play another, and if I did I would play the next game and take a break for a month or two by playing other games. If I didn't the break would be about three months or so just to ease up, some people prefer a six month wait or even longer. Always keep in mind these games iterate on each other and Kamurocho IS the main character outside of Kenzan and Ishin so you're basically seeing small changes to it and new shops as if you're visiting again for a holiday.

I would treat these games as ones where you want to do virtual tourism. If you feel like exploring Kamurocho, if you feel like seeing what changed, if you feel like seeing more of the characters then you'll come back when it feels right.

Shame we never got to see Kiryu in Akihabara.
