it does. if sony are putting ps5 games in the cloud they'd need hardware identical to the ps5 in those servers and main reason they went with MS over amazon is because MS will have dedicated gaming servers for xcloud they can utilize rather than having to slap like 5 million ps5's into an amazon server. that would also cost an arm and a leg to do. the ps5 hardware would have to be identical to the servers they plan on putting those ps5 games on in the cloud so any of these rumors claiming ps5 is faster than xbox is nonsense seeing as those microsoft game servers are going to be retail anacondas but placed into servers.

you think ps5 games will magically work in the azure cloud? no. they'll need IDENTICAL hardware to what the ps5 is using, the same way psnow right now has loads of ps3's stacked in servers to run those ps3 games. the idea of cloud gaming is one version works across all the devices. microsofts plan is to literally make one version of a game for next gen xbox and by default it will work in xcloud servers because they're using the exact same hardware. they're not wasting time optimizing for different hardware.

so Sony wins again because they make the best games because they're able to optimize console power better than anyone else.
