Dungeons you run over and over and over that get a bit harder every time and drop loot with an ilvl relative to the current difficulty, so eventually they start dropping gear that shits on the most difficult to acquire raid rewards.

Yes. Its like where you run Ghimlyt with a group. Then the group gets access to a +1 version of the dungeon with harder enemies, different enemy composition, etc. Each time it scales up to say +10 or +15 where theres new mechanics, more enemies per pack with new skills and higher ilvl gear drops.

Think dungeons but with weekly modifiers and scaling difficulty. AoEs around each player every few seconds, enemies applying healing down debuffs to tanks, enemies exploding on death, enemies buffing other enemies on death, enemies dropping puddles that heal other enemies and damage you on death, adds spawning in combat that need to be killed or else they explode, shit like that.

The higher you go, the more modifiers you get - but the better loot you get at the end of the run too. You're intended to go as fast as possible and need to beat the dungeon within the time limit to increase the level of it.

Dungeons that scale up in difficulty as you complete them, enemy and boss mechanics would be "raid" difficulty (ie one shot/needs proper mitigation). Plus diablo style affixes which change enemy placement/types or gives them extra effects.

The purpose is to provide a high level challenge for players as they gear up through raids/tomes etc.

FFXIV lacks content aimed at small (4- player) groups, PotD/HoH had potential but the repetition and perma death nature made it a do it once then never again content.

Unfortunately they're not gonna do this because of the new races

The only thing about M+ that is bad currently is that it allows people to get as geared as raiders without actually raiding. If it was implemented in FFXIV I'd like to see more of a focus on cosmetic rewards from it (like how WoW had it do in MoP and WoD) or have the gear max out at say, 395. if the current cap is 400.

I've already done everything in this game and it was time consuming as is, I don't need or want some fucking grindathon dungeons just to stay at a competitive ilvl and judging from interviews Yoshi-P has given, he doesn't either.

Sure, I'd like harder 4-man content, but trivializing raid gear didn't go down well the last time they did that (with Diadem). Harder dungeon to get ilvl equipment that's at least on par with the latest craftable equipment (or maybe +5) probably wouldn't be an awful idea, but making it a raid replacement would be shit.

You should never turn Darkside off.
As for Grit, when you're going through the leveling process, it should probably just stay on. BUT when you start really getting the hang of how to tank, you can turn it off to maximize damage to speed up certain bosses.

Darkside is a buff that should be on 24/7 whether grit is on or off. There are skills later on that can't be used if darkside isn't active.

Darkside should always be on. Grit should always be on and when you feel comfortable with the dungeons, you can experiment with turning it off after your usual pulls for MUH DEEPS

People get confused about Cure 3's function, so I can see them removing it.

Darkside can be turned off during really long downtime, like while omega charges his laser beam on O10, but I dont think its worth it in O10S because the duration is much shorter without the duty action part

the rng modifiers are what make it difficult. wow and ffxiv are both numbers games, skill doesn't matter at all. eventually you'll reach a point where the numbers outpace your ilvl requirements and the content because too difficult or impossible to clear.
