Literally the only thing that got to me was the water beast, but they used it just once (and trolled with it later on).

Besides that, it was a huge disappointment and a downgrade from the Penumbra -games, which played almost the same and were from the same devs.
All the tension was killed from Amnesia when you realize that deaths have no consequences and dying actually makes things easier for you. Not to mention besides one or two sections, there's no pre-placed, patrolling enemies at all, which were the stable element in Penumbras.

How the hell can literal zoomers suck this Youtube exclusive's cock is totally beyond me.

This. Darkwood is quite possibly the scariest game I have ever played.

I didn't think it was that scary but its atmosphere and art style are on point.

I thought Amnesia was incredibly boring the whole way through and the puzzles were pretty trash.

Definitely a massive step down from Penumbra in every regard imo.

re2make wasn't a horror game, though. it didn't have any horror, it was never scary, and any atmosphere it had got drowned out by all the fucking around micromanaging inventory slots and timewasting backtracking
