PEACE
quick rundown?
THROUGH
Poor Joe having to had been involved in C&C4.
Hmm? Involved in what, user?
>e-celebs
Fuck off with this shit already
POWER
As much as we may love to pretend it doesn't exist it is far more important to remember it does and never forgive EA's crimes.
ONE VISION
Rich Vos?
Can't wait for the remake so we get to see kanes bald head in full HD.
hes a robot
With new actor
I played through Tiberium Wars for the first time recently. Tfw no Mammoth Mk. II
what if they have uncompressed video file assets from the game at the studio?
Rish Vozsh.
I BUILD VAGINA
IN THE NAME OF KANE
We are going to have to act
What are you sad about? They're in Tiberium wars!
Tiberium Essence mod nibba
Why would they get a new actor
>inb4 thread fills up with Zoomer faggots that actually liked Tiberian Sun
Still the 2nd most hated old-C&C game, only behind their online-only single-unit moba/battle royale crossover they released in 1997 when no-one had internet yet.
Which one is tiberium sun
3 or 4
My main two issues with TS is the game is either too fast or too slow with no inbetween. And the OST which is really underwhelming when almost every other game in the series has a bangin' OST.
>tfw my friend's dad looks almost just like Kane and i can't help by laugh to myself when I see him
>ywn know what it feels like to shoot down nod scum from a Hammerhead helicopter, as a zone trooper railgunner, with your qt zone raider gf grenade launcher
Why even live?
I liked Generals.
It was no where near as bad as people made it out to be.
TS was okay, but it laid the foundation for FS, RA2 and YR, which were all great.
And don't you dare go shitting on Sole Survivor, it was a head of its time.
Its not bad but its unironically not a CnC game, it plays more like a Blizzard RTS then a CnC game.
He's absolutely in the right, GDI is scum.
>Why even live?
You don't lol
KANE LIVES IN DEATH
If we want to live in a different world.
Airships were the only good thing out off CNC4 desu
it was ahead of it's time, but 27% metascore pretty much sums up everything that was wrong with it.
three main problems with TS was really that
>it lagged too much to be playable at the time (so people would just play RA some more instead)
>it was too brown and grim-dark, setting the tone for the next 10 years of brown filter dark vidya
>explosions destroying terrain so people couldn't rebuild their buildings after being attacked once
it's soundtrack was underwhelming like you said, after the CRUSH KILL DESTROY, IM A MECHANICAL MAN and of course the Hell March from the previous 2 games.
it laid the foundations for RA2 and Generals though.
2
Generals was really popular, at least here in Australia. When Zero Hour came out it was the most widely played RTS with Age of Empires 2 trailing behind.
Nowadays vanilla/zero hour feels too bland for me, but with Shockwave it's a real treat.
never played shockwave, is it as good as I hear?
Legal shit etc.
If you want actual variety between sub-factions, definitely, it allows itself some fun, but compared to RotR or Contra it is far more laid back and sane, plus three new generals are fun as hell.
>>it was too brown and grim-dark, setting the tone for the next 10 years of brown filter dark vidya
I really hated the visibility problems in TS. Red Alert 2 had similar problems. Part of it probably chalked up to the change to isometric, but fuck, I could see everything with ease in C&C1/RA1.
LOL
That makes no sense.
>no helicopter ending
Unlikely. EA already managed to lose all of the original render data for Westwood's Bladerunner when they closed down the studio, so we'll never see a proper HD remake of that game. I'm not exactly hopeful they cared more about stuff for ancient Command and Conquer games.
RISE UP
I'm currently replaying Firestorm and the game's not quite as awful as I remember it being. It was just a complete joke compared to the massive hype that was leading up to its release.
Based.
It is a mystery how a unit so shitty can have so much personality to it.
TS soundtrack was great nigga, all those ambient tracks worked with the atmosphere of the game so well.
When did EA ever make sense?
yeah that's probably a lot of it too.
C&C1 and RA1 were massive hits when they came out (C&C1's campaign and RA1's mulitplayer) so it's hard to live up to that kind of hype.
not him but I preferred the 90's-ish sounding theme of the vocal C&C1 tracks.
specially when this first track plays during the first GDI mission.
>It is a mystery
How so? It makes perfect sense.
Fanatical youths inspired by some zealous preacher to take up arms against an enemy they have little hope of defeating is endearing and relatable.
Also, because of how the garrison system works they even have the potential to be better than riflemen in some situations. Not that it matters because Riflemen are also shit. Rockets are pretty good though, on both teams.
Today, I will remind them
youtube.com
>so it's hard to live up to that kind of hype
They dug their own grave by releasing edited screenshots and using magazine previews to boast about features that never made it into the game. How great the previous games were certainly contributed to the overall disappointment with the game but most of it was Westwood's own fault
yeah, plus they had trailers to Tiberian Sun on the C&C's Covert Operations expansion disc.
>because of how the garrison system works they even have the potential to be better than riflemen in some situations
Post AP-bullets they shold be around similar, but what makes them bad is that SAGE engine is already not that good at unit pathfinding, it's even worse with infantry squad pathfinding, and Nod infantry's tendency to use retarded wide formations opposed to GDI strict square one makes them even more prone to randomly running around or getting stuck to a fence.
>Rockets are pretty good though, on both teams
We've got the rockets!
ROCKETS!
If it moves, KILL IT!
One Purpose
I, too, am replaying Firestorm. I wish they hadn't tossed all the cool tiberium stuff out the window in 3, its definitely the best thing about the game.
>C&C remake
>WoW classic
>WC3 reforged
>everybody trying to revive the 90-2004
What went right?
Nothing. WoW and WC3 were the cancer that destroyed these genres.
>What went right?
all of the remakes/remasters being shit like they nearly always are
daily reminder that Generals is a pay2win Facebook game now
>I can't enjoy anything posters
boomer pride!
Nothing. Everything just went wrong after that period.
Anton LaVey?
*get loaded into humvees and bumrush your base*
That got cancelled
no it didn't, well kinda. it got scrapped, renamed and it's assets used to make C&C: Rivals
play.google.com
I was expecting the NOD ring
I wasn't aware of that
But isn't that one set in the Tiberium verse?
