hello user please describe the game you are currently contemplating
Was expecting this with Yoko Taro games but it never happened. The endings are way too overhyped.

Sonic Adventure 2
Persona 3. It's alright for the most of the game that is spent building up to the last two months, which are magical. Having a "power of friendship" ending is really cheesy, but I'll be damned if I didn't tear up at the end when all of my social link friends and my teammates started to cheer me on. And then again when the credits rolled.
>HANGING ON THE EEEDGE OF TOMOROROWOWOW

But it's not power of friendship as much as it's sacrifice of a Messiah.
This.
Fuck everyone who says it's shit. The end was damn worth my 80 hours.
farcry 3
I loved that DLC though...
What is Persona 3
t. played on normal
>you hear Stand By Me at the beginning of the game and you think it was an odd Jap choice of music
>you get to this scene and the ending with the same song again
Literally me with KH3
>Xion best girl is back
>Sea-salt and Wayfinder trios reunited
>kino as fuck light of the past
>kino as fuck final fight with Xehanort at Scala ad Caelum both in his demon goat form and X-blade form.
>critical mode fixed everything gameplay related
Fuck the haters and the obnoxious KH2FMfags
The game played like ass on the DS but fackin hell the ending
Fucking, say fucking
>fighting her with Vector to the Heavens in the background
Yoko you goddamn angel
I wrill
BURR MADRIIIID!!!!!!
I'll say fackin whenever I feel like it, you fucking faggot
Pretty much specs ops the line for me. Its ending really made me love this game and made forgive its bland military shooter gameplay that has
This is basically Muv Luv, except it starts getting good with Unlimited.
Its too good youtu.be
But it was a decent game.
fackin isn't a word

I wish I had standards that low. Life would be so much more fun.

I bet you thought this unironically sounded cool in your autistic head.
Yes, what you should be having to avoid acting like an incel.
He probably watches nip doodle shit and assumed he was cool like the MC of the harem hentai he jacked off to.
should i play FF15? i love FF6, enjoyed FF5 and 7, disliked FF9
Not Yea Forums but The Devil’s Rejects
Holy shit, this is some next level reddit "wit".
XV has so little to do with 5 or 6 or even 9 that they aren't good barometers for whether you'll like it.
Do you like a character-driven action/exploration game? Can you stomach hours on hours of character drama, to the point that basic plot and gameplay structure suffer in order to tell a story? Are you okay with one button doing everything in combat?
If yes, XV is great. If no, then no.
BIG HARD THROBBING COCKS GETTING SUCKED REAL DEEP
You seem to know a lot about gayddit but then again seeing as how you're an incel it isn't surprising. I would advise you go back
Yes
Good atmosphere
Cool food mechanics
Don’t expect an Atlus game level of polish though
>I wish I had standards that low. Life would be so much more fun.

I bet you thought this sounded clever.
Your terminal poltardation is showing.
Responding last doesn't mean you win, incel. And I wasn't the one who brought up anime, that was another user who cringed at your autism.
Megaman Zero 4 turned some shaggy dog story about how nobody could get along in the future and turned it into a fight against the personification of pure evil and everything that went wrong in the X series.
The only way it could have been better is if ZX had actually fucking finished.
>incel
>cringe
Hello, reddit
>that was another user
I'm also not that guy and KH3 sucks and you're a retard for enjoying it but it's okay, you have fellow leddit users to enjoy it with.
Have sex, incel.
thanks, ill give it a try. i hope the character drama is at least somewhat interesting and not too cringy
Dilate, tranny.
>I wish I had standards that low. Life would be so much more fun.
If you had standards you wouldnt be in this shithole of a website trying to act elitist to a bunch of retards like you.
HOW DID I LIVE IN A KINGDOM OF THIIIIEEEEEVES
Dragon's Dogma was amazing right from the main menu.
>People never kill time on their phones
That was pretty much my experience with Nier Automata. But the ending was just "eh, cool" for me, didn't make me a fanboy. Maybe my expectations were too high, I don't know. People were talking about how the ending made them cry and shit...
Which ending?
BASED z4chad
Make sure you watch Kingsglaive and maybe the anime Brotherhood, otherwise you'll have no clue what in fuck is going on and the plot will completely fall apart on you.
Rain World
OG Nier. Automata was lame from start to finish
ZX finished with the villains winning

Why does every other story need the same predictable "subvert the established narrative trope me big brain 2000iq" ending? People overwhelmingly prefer stories that end in proper resolution. Unless you have some major point to it, subverting that isn't smart in and of itself.

The sun ain't the only thing rising in the east, if you catch my drift
shit taste
It only ended there because the series was cancelled. Do we really need the robot equivalent of Thanos Decimation when Megman Legends existence already brings up the question of why the world is built on top of the ruins of an older one?
You mean an ending that completely ruins the tone of that scene already in FF7.
The first Overlords final battle. The entire game is "eh" material but the last boss and his speeches and what he did make up for it.
>cringe
Wild arms 4. The game is average at best but the ending is very bitter sweet.
>needing everything to be a massive one last stand
Zack got gunned down by 3 grunts like a dog. It's more poignant that way and better enforces the harsh reality of the scenario.
This, but in reverse for Iconoclasts. It turned a solid 9/10 into a 7/10 due to he ending alone
>Missing the point of the name
The worm just being some dickass custodian was the best fuck you that religion and what they caused.
Retard
>but the ending is very bitter sweet.
The kinds of people that say this as a positive are invariably idiots.
That was due to hardware limitations. A super soldier struggling against 3 grunts makes no sense at all. It's like in FFX where 2 guards hold you up, and your party surrenders despite having mowed down dozens of them just seconds ago. You have to be pretty stupid to think the FFVII was somehow closer to the intended portrayal of that scene than CC was.
>the harsh reality of the scenario.
You're an idiot and this means nothing. Him being gunned down like a dog who was nothing was not what gave his death its emotional weight at all, nor was that thematically fitting in any way.
i unironically liked the 'tedium' of the group fucking around. gave a unique sense of dread because there was no clear way to progress and no clear villain, unlike in zero escape and similar
last 2 months are great but the game picks up in general after the beach trip
No, he's completely right. Original VII was very grounded compared to all of it's spin-offs and the quick death is more appropriate.
Also Zack cutting down other soldiers that looked up to him to save one? That's just dumb.
This
Game was superior mediocre but that ending sequence alone makes it worth it.
Also I could see from a mile away what they were going to do with the pictures, but it stil got me.
And the logo was kino.
>Original VII was very grounded compared to all of it's spin-offs and the quick death is more appropriate.
Completely fucking wrong. Did you even play the game? What about giant houses, monsters summoning meteors from a sword or sleeping guardians inside of a planet that you fight underwater is grounded? What part of summoning e knights of the round is grounded? His death scene wasn't thematically relevant at all.
>That was due to hardware limitations.
Or he was just a guy who Cloud idolized who bit it. Blame Nomura for developing a boner for a side character.
youtube.com
A mindless beat them all Pokémon spinoff did not deserve such strong atmospheric music. This doesn't even play during a boss fight or important cutscene: It's just the theme of the last zone in the hubworld, something you won't ever spend more than 30 seconds on, and they still made a great song that conveys a sense of finality to your quest.
Perfect example. I was making fun of this game's garbage with my friend the entire way through and then got to the ending and felt heavy in my heart for a full 24 hours.
>The guy who was part of the big boy squad wielding a sword bigger than the average soldier that Cloud based his entire super soldier facade on was always meant to be a mook
That makes sense.
>A super soldier struggling against 3 grunts makes no sense at all.
Sephiroth got shanked by no-name grunt Cloud and then thrown into the lifestream by him. Soldier First Class weren't unstoppable shounen demigods, they were just better than the rest.
He said grounded in comparison to its spinoffs, not grounded compared to other fantasy settings you sub-80 IQ mongoloid. All of those things you mentions are run of the mill for Final Fantasy.
Black Ops 3 single player campaign. Wtf.
>Sephiroth got shanked by no-name grunt Cloud
You mean the guy who fought the planet's giant guardian monster and won?
Did you even fucking play CC? There's nothing more over the top than Sephiroth's Supernova in that game.
If it weren't for the warthog run in Halo 1 and 3 hyping up the all the funnest components of the series then most people would remember just how much recycled levels they played through to get to those points.
Red Dead Redemption
Seriously
Yikes
>You mean the guy who fought the planet's giant guardian monster and won?
After Cloud spent years in a vat of mako and accidentally turned First Class tier and had a party backing him up. None of which had happened or was applicable when Cloud stabbed Sephiroth in the back and threw him into the Lifestream. At that point in time he was a mook literally not good enough to be anything more than a grunt. First Class was never what you seem to think they are.
It's still not original if you're just going to look at what everyone else is doing and do the exact opposite. That's why the best endings are when everyone wins/loses something in a way that makes sense for the story and there is no clear winner.
>At that point in time he was a mook literally not good enough to be anything more than a grunt.
Except for the part where he carried out the first mission and was already stronger than the entire resistance group.
>First Class was never what you seem to think they are.
Your headcanon and decision to ignore what actually happens in both games won't change what the first class soldiers actually were. Try playing the beginning of VII again.
FF Type-0, XV and Crisis Core.
Tabata was good at making ending, not much else.
>Except for the part where he carried out the first mission and was already stronger than the entire resistance group.
He's as strong as Barret, who also takes part in that mission and shares equal load.
>Try playing the beginning of VII again.
Try playing the whole game again. I'm trying to tell you that if the greatest soldier who ever lived, Sephiroth, is able to get thrown into the Lifestream by Cloud (who at this point is a literal mook) while impaled on his sword then clearly Soldier First Class doesn't mean as much as you think it does, so it's perfectly reasonable for Zack to die the way he does. In addition to this, in the battle where Cloud and Sephiroth fight the dragon, it's either actually Cloud who dies in one hit to it or Zack does. While the battle is only there to establish how much stronger Sephiroth is, in either case both guys are definitely not at this shounen protag level of power you so claim.
duuuude get a life man. no one cares about this shite
THE LAST GUARDIAN
I suggest to just watch the opening and ending on YT and spare yourself the torture.
>He's as strong as Barret
Citation fucking needed
>who at this point is a literal mook
You're a literal retard. Cloud was never a mook in the game save being in a wheelchair.
>in either case both guys are definitely not at this shounen protag level of power you so claim.
What the fuck are you talking about? You're admitting Sephiroth is super strong and Cloud was super strong post-makobath, but pretending Zack wasn't? Cloud was strong even before his power up. You can see this through playing the damn game. He got a cheap shot in on Sephiroth, which ultimately amounted to nothing given what Sephiroth does later. Where do you get the idea that Cloud was ever a mook in the game? Look at the things he fights and what he does through the entire start of the game.
Danganronpa
>Really boring game outside of boss fights
>One of the best final acts in gaming
>Really boring game outside of boss fights
Don't let the Kamiya fanboys hear you.
>when they are also spamming button presses
Shit got me
Not totally correct but regarding specifically Dragon Dogma's story, it was generic sci-fi fantasy, slay the dragon and all, and it suddenly became interesting in the post game after the main plotline ended. How ironic.
Travis Strikes Again no doubt, the final chapter is almost kino
Crisis Core to a lesser degree. The game was good and it made me care for Zack a lot more, but the ending is just so so great, specially the "cliffhanger"
>game is incredible all the way through
>has an anticlimactic ending that makes you forget about the game until you rediscover the game's soundtrack on youtube months later
It didn't turn me into a fanboy, but the ending of FFXV was really great imo. I wish the rest of the game had the same quality or at least half that the ending had.
I think this is the definitive game that fits that bill.
The only thing I'd add is that the subsequent playthroughs also become amazing once you have the context of the ending and realise how much foreshadowing you missed.
Crisis Core is decent overall, but yeah, the ending is one of the best in the medium.
CC was one of my favourite games as a teenager because of it.
how about the opposite?
>Game is really good for like 90% of the time
>Final Act is really mediocre and feels out of place
STOP MAKING ME FEEL FOR THE BACKSTREET BOYS
Oy I liked Case 4.
>When Gwynn theme starts
>You will never feel that again for the first time
