So i got BlazBlue: Central Fiction on the switch recently, i played the first game years ago but i forgot the story.
So i listened to the entire recap at the start of the game and didn't understand much.
Then, i listened to like 5 different youtube videos doing an in-depth story recap, and i STILL don't fucking understand what is going on in this plot.
It's like a bunch of anime autohrs got together in a room, got drunks as fuck, and created one big patchwork of every single anime stereotype and bullshit asspull all compacted into one messy package that is borderline impossible to follow.

blazblue was damaged goods starting with CP anyway. they finally threw out all the enjoyable parts of the story while doubling down on the bad parts and showed that they refuse to actually fix the consistent problems/design philosophy that makes the series sort of kusoge every time, instead just yet again changing a bunch of system mechanics and how characters play and hoping it works this time when it failed the last half dozen games.
I've never seen an argument in favor for CP or CF that didn't boil down to stockholm syndrome or "one of the new characters really appeals to my fetishes"
