Classic WoW was riddled with issues. Retail didn't exactly fix nor perfect any of said issues, but Classic only had those issues and nothing more. When it transitioned to Burning Crusade, it got infinitely better.

Block would do literally nothing for Druids, and the main reason it's useful for Warriors in raids is because it enables them to push uncrit/crushability with improved Shield Block. Blocks don't replace potential crits or crushing blows until you get literally every normal hit off the table.
