Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered 1.0.3 has overhauled the game's cutscene lighting to make characters look less retarded
Still looks bad but wtf were they thinking lol
How does it look bad? It looks pretty good, IMO. It's a completely different character model to the original game. Based on the Rogue version, probably. He's lit correctly, and he doesn't look like a mega-derp.
They didn't change the face. It's basically ripping the PS3 model out and just putting it into their "remastered" graphic engine. Just look at the eyes, it still looks bad.
>It looks pretty good, IMO
then you're retarded
It's a completely different character model.
Either way it looks terrible. He looks Asian now.
>Just look at the eyes
They look totally fine?
>He looks Asian now.
And how is that a problem? It's a remaster that replaces every character model, every texture, replaces the entire lighting engine, alters missions, and is generally a distinct entity from the original. They could turn him into a black man and it'd be fine. He doesn't look like the bee-stung original, and that's on purpose.
He's the AC: Rogue version of Haytham. I don't remember people getting upset that AC: Rogue redesigned the character, but when AC3R does it, it's seen as some kind of problem.
>their "remastered" graphic engine
You put quotes around "remastered", but AC3R's graphic improvements are fantastic. The lighting is way better, the textures are way better, the general scene geometry is heavily improved. It's a very good remaster, bugs aside.
Nobody even noticed, because nobody but normalfags remember all these fucking sub- spinoff AC games they churn out every 10 seconds.
>to make characters look less retarded
They failed.
>It's a completely different character model
it's really not
AC: Rogue was excellent. It was basically a leaner version of Black Flag that segued into Unity.
The model is very clearly based on the AC: Rogue version of Haytham, not the AC3 version. It's a different character model. Different mouth. Different skin. Just look at his neck. In Rogue, Ubi Sofia made him look older and kinda haggard. The original Haytham looks like someone stuck a straw into him and inflated his face. The post-Rogue version is gaunter.
>The collar on his jacket has a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHAPE.
>His face is very clearly Rogue Haytham.
>It's the same character model, guise.
What the hell, the first one looks best, albeit low res textures and disaturated comparitevly.
2nd looks way too flat. 3rd looks like some borderlands trash.
Same the Unity delay meant the ending twist fell apart.
reMASTER not reMAKE
"Remaster" is just a marketing term. AC3R makes heaps of changes to the underlying game. They dramatically shortened the opening sequence, made gameplay alterations, and so on.
Modern Warfare Remastered is a literal from-the-ground-up remake of Modern Warfare designed to closely resemble the original, but with heaps of changes if you look closely. The term is meaningless.
>how is that a problem?
He's not Asian for one thing...
Ubisoft doesn't think bruh
Moderators and users likely have different interfaces. I just checked Ubi's forums and they seem fine.

How?
No it isn't you fucking retard. Modern Warfare Remastered only used a handful of new assets, most of the game was just a touched up, unironic, remaster. The developers themselves specifically stated in an interview that most of the game was not "remade" from the ground up like you just said.
As just a layman, who has never played the game before. The left version looks best out of the three. The way the shadows cast look more realistic. The detail in shadow appears more vivid. The color tone looks like clear sunlight, while the other two looks like sunset. Also, it looks like the original emulated some kind of reflective lighting. That's probably why shadows look so much better. There's good ambiance.
